1 Of lovingkindness and of justice, will I sing! Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I touch the strings!
1 Salmo de Davi. Cantarei a bondade e a justiça. A vós, Senhor, salmodiarei.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a blameless way, When wilt thou come in unto me? I will walk to and fro in the blamelessness of my heart,in the midst of my house:
2 Pelo caminho reto quero seguir. Oh, quando vireis a mim? Caminharei na inocência de coração, no seio de minha família.
3 I will not set before mine eyes, a vile thing,The doing of them who fall away, I hate, It shall not cleave unto me;
3 Não proporei ante meus olhos nenhum pensamento culpável. Terei horror àquele que pratica o mal, não será ele meu amigo.
4 A perverse heart, shall depart from me, A maker of mischief, will I not acknowledge;
4 Estará sempre longe de mim o coração perverso, não quero conhecer o mal.
5 He that uttereth slander in secret against his friend, him, will I root out; One of lofty eyes, and of an ambitious heart, him shall I not be able to endure.
5 Exterminarei o que em segredo caluniar seu próximo. Não suportarei homem arrogante e de coração vaidoso.
6 Mine eyes, shall be upon the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me,he that walketh in a blameless way, he, shall attend me.
6 Meus olhos se voltarão para os fiéis da terra, para fazê-los habitar comigo. Será meu servo o homem que segue o caminho reto.
7 There shall not dwell in the midst of my house, One who worketh deceit,he that speaketh falsehoods, shall not be established before mine eyes;
7 O fraudulento não há de morar jamais em minha casa. Não subsistirá o mentiroso ante meus olhos.
8 Morning by morning, will I uproot, All the lawless ones of the land, That I may cut off, out of the city of YahwehAll the workers of iniquity.
8 Todos os dias extirparei da terra os ímpios, banindo da cidade do Senhor os que praticam o mal.
