1 Of lovingkindness and of justice, will I sing! Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I touch the strings!
1 Cantarei a misericórdia e o juízo; a ti, SENHOR, cantarei.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a blameless way, When wilt thou come in unto me? I will walk to and fro in the blamelessness of my heart,in the midst of my house:
2 Portar-me-ei com inteligência no caminho reto. Quando virás a mim? Andarei em minha casa com um coração sincero.
3 I will not set before mine eyes, a vile thing,The doing of them who fall away, I hate, It shall not cleave unto me;
3 Não porei coisa má diante dos meus olhos. Odeio a obra daqueles que se desviam; não se me pegará a mim.
4 A perverse heart, shall depart from me, A maker of mischief, will I not acknowledge;
4 Um coração perverso se apartará de mim; não conhecerei o homem mau.
5 He that uttereth slander in secret against his friend, him, will I root out; One of lofty eyes, and of an ambitious heart, him shall I not be able to endure.
5 Aquele que murmura do seu próximo às escondidas, eu o destruirei; aquele que tem olhar altivo e coração soberbo, não suportarei.
6 Mine eyes, shall be upon the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me,he that walketh in a blameless way, he, shall attend me.
6 Os meus olhos estarão sobre os fiéis da terra, para que se assentem comigo; o que anda num caminho reto, esse me servirá.
7 There shall not dwell in the midst of my house, One who worketh deceit,he that speaketh falsehoods, shall not be established before mine eyes;
7 O que usa de engano não ficará dentro da minha casa; o que fala mentiras não estará firme perante os meus olhos.
8 Morning by morning, will I uproot, All the lawless ones of the land, That I may cut off, out of the city of YahwehAll the workers of iniquity.
8 Pela manhã destruirei todos os ímpios da terra, para desarraigar da cidade do Senhor todos os que praticam a iniqüidade.
