1 Return thou, O Israel, unto Yahweh thy God,for thou hast stumbled by thine iniquity.
1 Povo de Israel, volte para o Senhor , seu Deus! Você caiu porque pecou.
2 Take with you words, and return to Yahweh: say unto himWholly, shalt thou take away iniquity, Accept, then, with favour, and we will make good the boldness of our lips!
2 Voltem para Deus e orem assim: “Perdoa todos os nossos pecados, ouve a nossa oração, e os nossos louvores serão o sacrifício que te ofereceremos.
3 Assyria, shall not save us, Upon horses, will we not ride, neither will we say any moreOur god! to the work of our own hands! For, in thee, shall the fatherless, find compassion.
3 A Assíria não pode nos salvar, e a cavalaria não pode nos proteger. Nunca mais diremos aos ídolos, feitos por nós mesmos, que eles são o nosso Deus. Tu, ó Deus, és misericordioso e cuidas dos necessitados.”
4 I will heal their apostacy, I will love them freely,for mine anger, hath turned, from them.
4 O Senhor Deus diz: “Vou curar o meu povo da sua infidelidade e vou amá-los com todo o meu coração, pois não estou mais
5 I will become as the dew unto Israel, he shall break forth as the lily,and he shall strike his roots as Lebanon:
5 Serei como a chuva para Israel, e ele dará flores, como os lírios. As suas raízes serão profundas como as das árvores do Líbano.
6 His branches, shall spread, that, like an olive-tree, may be his fresh beauty,and his fragrance, like Lebanon.
6 Os seus galhos se estenderão, bonitos como os galhos das oliveiras e perfumosos como os cedros do Líbano.
7 They who dwell in his shade shall again show life like the corn, and break forth as the vine,and, the remembrance of him, shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
7 Mais uma vez, Israel viverá debaixo da minha proteção; eles crescerão como o trigo, darão frutas como a e serão famosos como o vinho do Líbano.
8 Ephraim What to me any more are idols? I, have answered, and have closely observed him, I, am like a fir-tree that is green, From me, is thy fruit found.
8 O povo de Israel dirá: ‘Os ídolos não valem nada!’ Sou eu, o que atendo as orações do meu povo; sou eu que tomo conta deles. Como um pinheiro verde, eu lhes dou abrigo, e de mim eles recebem todas as bênçãos.”
9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? intelligent, that he may take knowledge of them? For, straightforward, are the ways of Yahweh, and, the righteous, shall travel therein, but, transgressors, shall stumble therein.
9 Que as pessoas sábias e ajuizadas entendam a mensagem deste livro e meditem nela! Os caminhos de Deus, o Senhor , são certos; os bons andarão neles, mas os pecadores tropeçarão e cairão.
