1 At that time, Declareth Yahweh, Shall they bring forth, The bones of the kings of Judah, and The bones of his princes, and The bones of the priests, and The bones of the prophets, and The bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Out of their graves,
1 Naquele tempo, diz o Senhor , lançarão para fora das suas sepulturas os ossos dos reis e dos príncipes de Judá, os ossos dos sacerdotes e dos profetas e os ossos dos habitantes de Jerusalém;
2 And shall spread them outTo the sun, and To the moon, and To all the host of the heavens, Whom they have loved, And whom they have served, And after whom they have walked, And whom they have sought, And to whom they have bowed themselves down,They shall not be gathered, Neither shall they be buried, As heaps of dung on the face of the ground, shall they be.
2 espalhá-los-ão ao sol, e à lua, e a todo o exército do céu, a quem tinham amado, e a quem serviram, e após quem tinham ido, e a quem procuraram, e diante de quem se tinham prostrado; não serão recolhidos, nem sepultados; serão como esterco sobre a terra.
3 Then shall, death, be chosen rather than life, by all the remnant of them that remain, of this wicked family,in all the places, whither I have driven them, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
3 Escolherão antes a morte do que a vida todos os que restarem desta raça malvada que ficar nos lugares para onde os dispersei, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
4 Therefore shalt thou say unto themThus, saith Yahweh, Will men fall and not arise? Will one turn away, and not come back?
4 Dize-lhes mais: Assim diz o Senhor : Quando caem os homens, não se tornam a levantar? Quando alguém se desvia do caminho, não torna a voltar?
5 Wherefore hath this people of Jerusalem apostatized with an enduring apostacy,Taken fast hold of deceit, Refused to come back?
5 Por que, pois, este povo de Jerusalém se desvia, apostatando continuamente? Persiste no engano e não quer voltar.
6 I hearkened and heardNot aright, did they speak,Not a man, repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done! They have every one, turned to their course again, Like a horse sweeping on through the battle.
6 Eu escutei e ouvi; não falam o que é reto, ninguém há que se arrependa da sua maldade, dizendo: Que fiz eu? Cada um corre a sua carreira como um cavalo que arremete com ímpeto na batalha.
7 Even the stork in the heavens knoweth her appointed times, And the turtle and the swallow and the crane, observe the season for coming; But my people know not the just sentence of Yahweh.
7 Até a cegonha no céu conhece as suas estações; a rola, a andorinha e o grou observam o tempo da sua arribação; mas o meu povo não conhece o juízo do Senhor .
8 How can ye say, Wise, are, we, And the law of Yahweh, is with us? But indeed lo! falsely, hath dealt the false pen of the scribes!
8 Como, pois, dizeis: Somos sábios, e a lei do Senhor está conosco? Pois, com efeito, a falsa pena dos escribas a converteu em mentira.
9 Ashamed are the wise, dismayed and captured! Lo! the word of Yahweh, have they rejected, And, what wisdom, have, they?
9 Os sábios serão envergonhados, aterrorizados e presos; eis que rejeitaram a palavra do Senhor ; que sabedoria é essa que eles têm?
10 Therefore, will I giveTheir wives to others, Their fields to such as shall take possession of them, For from the least, even unto the greatest, Every one, is, wholly given to extortion: From the prophet even unto the priest, Every one, dealeth, falsely.
10 Portanto, darei suas mulheres a outros, e os seus campos, a novos possuidores; porque, desde o menor deles até ao maior, cada um se dá à ganância, e tanto o profeta como o sacerdote usam de falsidade.
11 And so they have healed the grievous wound of the daughter of my people, slightly,Saying, Peace! peace! when there was no peace!
11 Curam superficialmente a ferida do meu povo, dizendo: Paz, paz; quando não há paz.
12 Were they led to turn pale because an abominable thing, they had done? Nay! they did not, at all turn pale Nay! they did not so much as know how to exhibit shame! Therefore, shall they fall among them who are falling, In the time when they are punished, shall they be overthrown, Saith Yahweh:
12 Serão envergonhados, porque cometem abominação sem sentir por isso vergonha; nem sabem que coisa é envergonhar-se. Portanto, cairão com os que caem; quando eu os castigar, tropeçarão, diz o Senhor .
13 I will, surely remove, them, declareth Yahweh: There shall be no grapes on the vine Nor figs on the fig-tree, Even the leaf, hath faded, Though I have given them these things, they shall pass away from them.
13 Eu os consumirei de todo, diz o Senhor ; não haverá uvas na vide, nem figos na figueira, e a folha já está murcha; e já lhes designei os que passarão sobre eles.
14 Why are, well sitting still? Gather yourselves together and let us enter the defenced cities And let us be silent there,For, Yahweh our God, hath put us to silence And made us drink poisoned water, Because we have sinned against Yahweh.
14 Por que estamos ainda assentados aqui? Reuni-vos, e entremos nas cidades fortificadas e ali pereçamos; pois o Senhor já nos decretou o perecimento e nos deu a beber água venenosa, porquanto pecamos contra o Senhor .
15 A waiting For prosperity, but no welfare,For a time of healing, but lo! terror.
15 Espera-se a paz, e nada há de bom; o tempo da cura, e eis o terror.
16 From Dan, was heard the snorting of his horses At the sound of the neighing of his chargers, the whole land trembled,Yea they came in and did sat up The land and the fulness thereof, The city, and them who were dwelling therein.
16 Desde Dã se ouve o resfolegar dos seus cavalos; toda a terra treme à voz dos rinchos dos seus garanhões; e vêm e devoram a terra e a sua abundância, a cidade e os que habitam nela.
17 For behold me! sending among you serpentsvipers which there is no charming,And they shall fatally bite you declareth Yahweh.
17 Porque eis que envio para entre vós serpentes, áspides contra as quais não há encantamento, e vos morderão, diz o Senhor .
18 When I would have cheered myself against sorrow, Against me, mine own heart sickened:
18 Oh! Se eu pudesse consolar-me na minha tristeza! O meu coração desfalece dentro de mim.
19 Lo! the voice of the cry for help of the daughter of my people from a land far away, Is, Yahweh, not in Zion? Is, her King, not within her? Why, have they provoked me with their carved images, with their foreign vanities?
19 Eis a voz do clamor da filha do meu povo de terra mui remota: Não está o Senhor em Sião? Não está nela o seu Rei? Por que me provocaram à ira com as suas imagens de escultura, com os ídolos dos estrangeiros?
20 The harvest is passed, The fruit-gathering, is ended; And we are not saved!
20 Passou a sega, findou o verão, e nós não estamos salvos.
21 For the grievous injury of the daughter of my people, I am grievously injured,I am enshrouded in gloom, Horror, hath seized me:
21 Estou quebrantado pela ferida da filha do meu povo; estou de luto; o espanto se apoderou de mim.
22 Balsam, is there none, in Gilead? Is there no physician, there? Why hath not appeared the healing of the daughter of my people?
22 Acaso, não há bálsamo em Gileade? Ou não há lá médico? Por que, pois, não se realizou a cura da filha do meu povo?
