1 Of the sons of Ammon-Thus saith Yahweh: Hath Israel no, sons? Hath he no, heir? Why hath, Malkam, taken possession of Gad, Or have, his people, in the cities thereof, made their dwelling?
1 A respeito dos amonitas, assim diz o SENHOR: Não tem Israel filhos? Não tem ele herdeiro? Por que então faz o seu rei herdar Gade, e seu povo habitar em suas cidades?
2 Therefore, lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh When I will cause to be heard against Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, an alarm of war, So shall she become a mound of desolation, And, her villages, with fire, shall blaze,Then shall Israel, inherit them who inherited him, Saith Yahweh.
2 Portanto, eis que os dias vêm, diz o SENHOR, em que eu farei um alarme de guerra ser ouvido em Rabá dos amonitas. E ela será um montão de ruínas, e suas filhas serão queimadas a fogo. Então, Israel será herdeiro daqueles que o herdaram, diz o SENHOR.
3 Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled Make outcry, ye daughters of Rabbah, Gird you with sackcloth, Lament ye and run to and fro among the fences,For, Malkam, into captivity, shall go, His priests and his princes, together.
3 Geme, ó Hesbom, pois Ai é saqueada. Clamai, vós filhas de Rabá, cingi-vos de pano de saco. Lamentai, e correi para lá e para cá pelas sebes, pois seu rei será levado ao cativeiro, juntamente com seus sacerdotes e seus príncipes.
4 Why shouldst thou glory in the vales, The flowing of thy vale O apostate daughter? She who is trusting in her treasures, Who shall invade, me?
4 Por que motivo tu te glorias nos vales, teu vale frutífero, ó filha apóstata? Que confias nos teus tesouros, dizendo: Quem virá até mim?
5 Behold me! bringing upon thee, terror Declareth My Lord, Yahweh of hosts, From all who are round about thee,And ye shall be driven out every man before it, And there shall be none to bring home the wanderer;
5 Eis que eu trarei um pavor sobre ti, diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos, e todos aqueles que estão em torno de ti. E cada homem será lançado em frente de si, e ninguém irá juntar aquele desgarrado.
6 But afterwards, will I bring back the captivity of the sons of Ammon, Declareth Yahweh.
6 E posteriormente eu trarei os cativos dos filhos de Amom, diz o SENHOR.
7 Of EdomThus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Is there no longer wisdom in Teman? Hath counsel perished from the discerning? Is their wisdom corrupt?
7 A respeito de Edom, assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Não há mais sabedoria em Temã? Pereceu o conselho do prudente? E desapareceu a sua sabedoria?
8 Flee ye turn go down deep to dwell, O inhabitant of Dedan,For the doom of Esau, have I brought in upon him The time of his visitation.
8 Fugi, retrocedei, habitai em profundidade, ó habitantes de Dedã, porque eu trarei a calamidade de Esaú sobre ele, no tempo em que eu o visitarei.
9 If, grape-gatherers, came to thee, Would they not leave, gleanings? If, thieves in the night, Would they not have taken away what sufficed them?
9 Se vindimadores vierem a ti, não deixariam eles algumas uvas a respigar? Se são ladrões durante a noite, eles destruirão até terem o bastante.
10 But, I, have stripped Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, And to conceal himself, shall he not be able! Spoiled, are his seed, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
10 Porém eu despi Esaú; eu revelei os seus lugares secretos, e ele não será capaz de se esconder. A sua semente foi saqueada, assim como seus irmãos e seus vizinhos, e ele não existe mais.
11 Leave thy fatherless children I, will preserve them alive,And thy widows, In me, let them trust.
11 Deixa tuas crianças órfãs, eu as preservarei vivas, e deixa tuas viúvas confiarem em mim.
12 For, thus saith YahwehLo! they who had not been adjudged to drink the cup, shall surely drink, And art thou, the one to go unpunished? Thou shalt not go unpunished, but shalt surely drink.
12 Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que aqueles cujo julgamento não foi para beber da taça, seguramente beberam, e és tu aquele que ficarás completamente impune? Tu não irás impune, porém tu certamente dela beberás.
13 or by myself, have I sworn, Declareth Yahweh, That, Bozrah shall become, an astonishment: a reproach and a desolation, and a contempt,And all her cities shall become age-abiding desolations.
13 Porque eu tenho jurado por mim mesmo, diz o SENHOR, que Bozra tornar-se-á uma desolação, uma desonra, uma devastação, e uma maldição, e todas as suas cidades serão perpétuas devastações.
14 A report, have I heard from Yahweh, Yea, an envoy, throughout the nations, hath been sent,Gather yourselves together and come against her, And arise to the battle.
14 Eu ouvi um rumor vindo do SENHOR, e um embaixador é enviado até os pagãos, dizendo: Reuni-vos e vinde contra ela, e levantai-vos para a batalha.
15 For lo! Small, have I made thee among the nations,Despised among men!
15 Pois, eis que eu te farei pequeno entre os pagãos, e desprezado entre os homens.
16 Thy monstrous thing, hath deceived thee, The insolence of thy heart, O thou that inhabitest the hidden recesses of the cliff, That boldest fast the height of the hill,Though thou set high as an eagle, thy nest, From thence, will I bring thee down, Declareth Yahweh;
16 Tua terribilidade, enganou-te, e o orgulho de teu coração, ó tu que habitas nas fendas da rocha, que ocupas a altura da colina. Embora eleves teu ninho tão alto como a águia, dali te derrubarei, diz o SENHOR.
17 So shall, Edom, become an astonishment,Every one passing by her, will be astonished and hiss, over all her plagues:
17 Também Edom será uma desolação, todo aquele que passar por ele estará atônito, e assobiará por causa de todas as suas pragas.
18 Like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and her neighbours, Saith Yahweh,There shall not dwell therea man, Nor sojourn thereinany son of the earth-born.
18 Como na derrubada de Sodoma e Gomorra, e das cidades vizinhas, diz o SENHOR, nenhum homem habitará ali, nem filho de homem morará nela.
19 Lo! like a lion, will he come up from the majesty of the Jordan, unto the pasture perennial, But I will winkI will make him run away therefrom, Who then shall be the Chosen One whom over it, I may set in charge? For who shall be like unto, me? And who shall appoint me, a time? And who is the Shepherd that shall stand before, me?
19 Eis que ele como leão subirá da cheia do Jordão contra a habitação do forte. Porém, de repente, eu o farei escapar, e quem é o homem escolhido para que eu possa estabelecer sobre ela? Quem é semelhante a mim? Quem determinará a mim o tempo? E quem é o pastor que resiste perante a mim?
20 Wherefore, hear ye The counsel of Yahweh which he hath counseled against Edom, And his devices which he hath devised against the inhabitants of Teman,Surely the little ones of the flock shall drag them away, Surely he will cause their fold to be astounded over them.
20 Portanto, ouvi o conselho do SENHOR, que ele tomou contra Edom, e os seus propósitos, que ele planejou contra os habitantes de Temã: Certamente os menores do rebanho os arrastarão, certamente ele fará suas habitações desoladas com eles.
21 At the noise of their fail, hath trembled the earth, At the outcry, in the Red Sea, was heard its noise.
21 A terra moveu-se ao barulho da sua queda, e do seu clamor se ouviu o barulho até o mar Vermelho.
22 Lo! as an eagle, he shall mount and dart, and spread his wings over Bozrah,So shall the heart of the heroes of Edom, in that day, become as the heart of a woman in her pain.
22 Eis que ele subirá e voará como a águia, e estenderá suas asas sobre Bozra, e naquele dia o coração dos poderosos homens de Edom será como o coração de uma mulher em suas dores de parto.
23 Of Damascus. Turned pale have Hamath and Arpad, For, a calamitous report, have they heardthey tremble,In the sea, is anxiety, it cannot, rest.
23 A respeito de Damasco. Hamate está perplexa, e Arpade, porque ouviram uma má notícia, e atemorizaram-se. Há tristeza sobre o mar, este não pode sossegar.
24 Enfeebled is Damascus She hath turned to flee But terror, hath seized her,Anguish and pangs, have seized her as a woman in childbirth.
24 Damasco torna-se frágil, e vira-se para fugir, e medo se apoderou dela, angústia e tristezas a tomaram, como uma mulher em trabalho de parto.
25 Alas! is she not forsakenThe city so praised! The citadel I rejoiced in!
25 Como não está abandonada a cidade de louvor, a cidade de minha alegria?
26 Therefore shall her young men fail in her broadways,And, all her men of war, shall be silent in that day, Declareth Yahweh of hosts;
26 Portanto os seus jovens homens cairão nas suas ruas, e todos os homens de guerra serão cortados naquele dia, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos.
27 Then will I kindle a fire in the walls of Damascus,And it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
27 E eu acenderei um fogo no muro de Damasco, e este consumirá os palácios de Ben-Hadade.
28 Of Kedar. And of the kingdoms of Hazor Which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smoteThus, saith Yahweh,Arise ye go up against Kedar, So shall they spoil the sons of the East:
28 A respeito de Quedar, e a respeito dos reinos de Hazor, que Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia ferirá. Assim diz o SENHOR: Levantai-vos, subi para Quedar e despojai os homens do leste.
29 Their tents and their flocks, shall they take, And their curtains and all their baggage b and their camels, shall they carry off for themselves,And shall cry out unto them, Terror round about!
29 As suas tendas e seus rebanhos serão tomados. Eles tomarão para si mesmos as suas cortinas, e todos os seus vasos e seus camelos, e eles lhes gritarão: Há pavor em todo lado.
30 Flee remove far away, go deep to dwell, Ye inhabitants of Hazor, Urgeth Yahweh; For Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylonhath counseled against you, a counsel, And devised against you a device.
30 Fugi, desviai-vos para longe, habitai nas profundezas, ó vós habitantes de Hazor, diz o SENHOR, porque Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, tomou conselho contra vós, e concebeu um intento contra vós.
31 Arise ye, go up against a nation at easedwelling securely, Commandeth Yahweh,Having neither doors nor bars, Alone, do they dwell:
31 Levantai-vos, alcançai vós a nação rica, que habita em segurança, diz o SENHOR, que não tem portões nem barras, que habita sozinha.
32 So shall their camels, become, a prey, And the throng of their cattle, a spoil, Then will I scatter them to every wind even the clipt-beards,And from all sides of him, will I bring in their doom Declareth Yahweh.
32 E os seus camelos serão uma presa, e a multidão de seu gado um despojo, e eu os espalharei a todos os ventos que estão nos mais remotos lugares. E eu trarei a sua calamidade de todos os lados, diz o SENHOR.
33 So shall Hazor become A habitation of jackals An astonishment unto times age-abiding: There shall not dwell therea man, Nor sojourn thereina son of the earth-born.
33 E Hazor será uma habitação para dragões, e uma desolação para sempre. Não haverá homem que habite ali, nem filho de homem habitará nela.
34 So much of the word of Yahweh as came unto Jeremiah the prophet, Against Elam,in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah saying:
34 Palavra do SENHOR que veio a Jeremias, o profeta, contra Elão, no início do reinado de Zedequias, rei de Judá, dizendo:
35 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Behold me! breaking the bow of Elam,The beginning of their might;
35 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eis que eu quebrarei o arco de Elão, o chefe do seu poder.
36 Then will I bring in against Elam four winds from the four quarters of the heavens, And will scatter them to all these winds,And there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam, shall not come;
36 E sobre Elão trarei eu os quatro ventos dos quatro cantos do céu, e os espalharei em direção a todos estes ventos, e não haverá nação onde os exilados de Elão não chegarão.
37 And I will cause Elam to be dismayed Before their enemies Even before them who are seeking their life, So will I bring upon them calamity, Even the glow of mine anger Declareth Yahweh,And will send after them the sword, until I have made an end of them;
37 Porque eu trarei a Elão consternação perante seus inimigos, e perante aqueles que buscam a sua vida, e eu trarei o mal sobre eles, minha violenta ira, diz o SENHOR, e eu enviarei a espada após eles, até que venha consumi-los.
38 And I will set my throne in Elam,And will destroy, from thence king and princes, Declareth Yahweh;
38 E eu colocarei meu trono em Elão, e destruirei dali o seu rei e os príncipes, diz o SENHOR.
39 But it shall come to pass In the afterpart of the days, That I will bring back the captivity of Elam, Declareth Yahweh.
39 Porém, acontecerá nos últimos dias, que eu trarei novamente os cativos de Elão, diz o SENHOR.
