1 And the word of Yahweh came unto Jeremiah, the second time, when he was yet imprisoned in the guard-court, saying:
1 Pela segunda vez veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, enquanto ele ainda estava trancado no átrio da prisão, dizendo:
2 Thus, saith Yahweh, who doeth it,Yahweh, who fashioneth it to establish it, Yahweh, is his name:
2 Assim diz o SENHOR que faz isto, o SENHOR que a formou, para a estabelecer; o SENHOR é o seu nome.
3 Call unto me that I may answer thee,and tell thee things great and inaccessible, which thou hast not known.
3 Clama a mim, e eu responder-te-ei, e mostrar-te-ei coisas grandes e poderosas, que tu não conheces.
4 For, Thus, saith Yahweh God of Israel, Concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah,which are thrown down against the earthworks and against the sword:
4 Porque assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, a respeito das casas desta cidade, e a respeito das casas dos reis de Judá, que foram destruídas pelos montes, e pela espada.
5 In entering to fight with the Chaldeans, it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have smitten in mine anger and in mine indignation,and because of whom I have hidden my face from this city,by reason of all their wickedness.
5 Eles chegarão para lutar com os caldeus, porém isto é para que os encha com cadáveres de homens, a quem eu feri em minha ira e em minha fúria, porquanto escondi a minha face desta cidade, por causa de toda a sua impiedade.
6 Behold me! laying upon her a bandage of healing, so will I heal them,And will reveal to them abundance of prosperity and truth;
6 Eis que eu farei vir sobre ela saúde e cura, e eu os curarei, e lhes revelarei uma abundância de paz e verdade.
7 And I will bring back Them of the captivity of Judah, and Them of the captivity of Israel,And I will build them, as at the first;
7 E eu farei os cativos de Judá e os cativos de Israel retornarem, e os edificarei, como no início.
8 And I will purify them, from all their iniquity wherewith they have sinned against me,And I will grant pardon for all their iniquities Wherewith they have sinned against me, and Wherewith they have transgressed against me;
8 E eu os purificarei de todas as suas iniquidades, pelas quais pecaram contra mim. E eu perdoarei todas as suas iniquidades, pelas quais pecaram, e pelas quais transgrediram contra mim.
9 So shall she become to meA name of joy, A praise and An adorning, To all the nations of the earth,Who will hear all the good which I am doing them, And will dread and be deeply moved over all the good and over all the prosperity which I am causing her.
9 E isto será para mim um nome de alegria, um louvor e uma honra perante todas as nações da terra, as quais ouvirão todo o bem que eu lhes faço. E eles temerão e tremerão por toda a bondade, e por toda a prosperidade que lhes dou.
10 Thus, saith YahwehAgain, shall be heard in this place, as to which ye are saying, Deserted, it is without man or beast, In the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, Which are desolate without man or inhabitant or beast
10 Assim diz o SENHOR: Se ouvirá novamente neste lugar, o que vós dizeis: Desolado está sem homem e sem animal; nas cidades de Judá e nas ruas de Jerusalém, que estão desertas, sem homem, e sem habitante, e sem animal.
11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness The voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, The voice of them who are saying, Praise ye Yahweh of hosts, For good is Yahweh For age-abiding is his lovingkindness, The voice of them who are bringing a thank-offering into the house of Yahweh,For I will bring back the captives of the land, as at the first, Saith Yahweh.
11 A voz de alegria, e a voz de júbilo, a voz do noivo, e a voz da noiva, a voz daqueles que dirão: Louvai ao SENHOR dos Exércitos, pois o SENHOR é bom, pois a sua misericórdia dura para sempre, e daqueles que trarão o sacrifício de louvor para a casa do SENHOR. Porquanto eu farei retornar o cativo da terra, como ao início, diz o SENHOR.
12 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Again, shall there be in this placeWhich is deserted without man or even beastAnd all the cities thereof,The home of shepherds, causing flocks to lie down.
12 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Novamente neste lugar, que está desolado sem homem e sem animal, e em todas as cidades dali, será uma habitação de pastores que fazem repousar aos seus rebanhos.
13 In the cities of the hill country, In the cities of the lowland, and In the cities of the South, and In the land of Benjamin, and In the places round about Jerusalem, and In the cities of Judah, Again shall the flock pass over the hands of the numberer, Saith Yahweh.
13 Nas cidades dos montes, nas cidades do vale, e nas cidades do sul, e na terra de Benjamim, e nos lugares em torno de Jerusalém, e nas cidades de Judá, os rebanhos passarão novamente sob as mãos daquele que os contam, diz o SENHOR.
14 Lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh,when I will establish my good word, which I have spokenAs to the house of Israel And concerning the house of Judah:
14 Eis que vêm dias, diz o SENHOR, em que eu realizarei aquela boa palavra que prometi à casa de Israel, e à casa de Judá.
15 In those days and at that time, will I cause to bud unto David A Bud of righteousness,And he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land:
15 Naqueles dias, e naquele tempo, eu farei crescer um Renovo de justiça a Davi, e ele fará juízo e justiça na terra.
16 In those days, Judah shall be Saved, and I Jerusalem abide, securely,And, this, is that which shall be proclaimed to herYahweh, our righteousness!
16 Naqueles dias Judá será salvo, e Jerusalém habitará a salvo, e este é o nome pelo qual ela será chamada: O SENHOR nossa justiça.
17 For, Thus, saith Yahweh,There shall not be wanting to DavidA man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
17 Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Nunca faltará a Davi um homem para se assentar sobre o trono da casa de Israel;
18 Nor to the priests the Levites, shall there be wantingA man, before me, To offer an ascending-sacrifice, or To make a perfume with a gift, or To offer a offering, all the days!
18 nem aos sacerdotes levitas faltará um homem perante mim para oferecer ofertas queimadas, e para queimar ofertas de alimento, e para fazer sacrifício continuamente.
19 And the word of Yahweh came unto Jeremiah saying:
19 E a palavra do SENHOR veio até Jeremias, dizendo:
20 Thus, saith Yahweh, If ye can break, My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, That there be not day and night in their season,
20 Assim diz o SENHOR: Se vós puderdes quebrar o meu pacto do dia, e o meu pacto da noite, de modo que não haja dia e noite a seu tempo,
21 My covenant also, may be broken With David my servant, that he shall not have a son, to reign upon his throne,And with the Levites the priests, mine attendants:
21 então também poderá ser quebrado o meu pacto com o meu servo Davi, para que ele não tenha um filho que reine sobre o seu trono, como os sacerdotes levitas, meus ministros.
22 As, the host of the heavens, cannot be recorded, Nor the sand of the sea, be measured, So, will I multiply, The seed of David my servant, And the Levites who attend upon me.
22 Como o exército do céu não pode ser numerado, nem a areia do mar ser medida, assim eu multiplicarei a semente do meu servo Davi, e os levitas que ministram diante de mim.
23 And the word of Yahweh came unto Jeremiah, saying:
23 Então a palavra do SENHOR veio a Jeremias, dizendo:
24 Hast thou not observed what, this people, have spoken saying, The two families which Yahweh did choose, he hath even east them off? And so, my people, they despise, as though they could not again become a nation in their sight!
24 Tu não atentas com o que este povo tem falado, dizendo: As duas famílias que o SENHOR escolheu ele rejeitou? Desta forma eles desprezaram o meu povo, para que não fosse mais uma nação perante eles.
25 Thus, saith Yahweh, If my covenant of day and night, the ordinances of the heavens and the earth, I did not appoint,
25 Assim diz o SENHOR: Se o meu pacto do dia e da noite, não permanecer, e se eu não puser as ordenanças do céu e terra;
26 The seed of Jacob also and of David my servant, might I east off so as not to take of his seed as rulers unto the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,For I will bring back them of their captivity, and will have compassion upon them.
26 então eu rejeitarei a semente de Jacó, e a do meu servo Davi, tanto que eu não tomarei qualquer da sua semente para governar sobre a semente de Abraão, Isaque e Jacó, porque farei voltar o seu cativeiro e terei misericórdia deles.
