1 After these things, Jesus manifested himself again, unto the disciples, by the sea of Tiberias; and manifested himself, thus:
1 Depois disto, tornou Jesus a manifestar-se aos discípulos junto do mar de Tiberíades; e foi assim que ele se manifestou:
2 There were together, Simon Peter, and Thomas, who was called Didymus, and Nathanael, who was from Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and, two other, of his disciples.
2 estavam juntos Simão Pedro, Tomé, chamado Dídimo, Natanael, que era de Caná da Galileia, os filhos de Zebedeu e mais dois dos seus discípulos.
3 Simon Peter saith unto themI go a fishing! They say unto himWe also, go with thee! They went out, and got up into the boat, and during that night, they caught nothing.
3 Disse-lhes Simão Pedro: Vou pescar. Disseram-lhe os outros: Também nós vamos contigo. Saíram, e entraram no barco, e, naquela noite, nada apanharam.
4 But, morning by this time drawing on, Jesus stood upon the beach; nevertheless, the disciples knew not that it was, Jesus.
4 Mas, ao clarear da madrugada, estava Jesus na praia; todavia, os discípulos não reconheceram que era ele.
5 Jesus, therefore, saith unto themChildren! perhaps ye have nothing to eat? They answered himNo.
5 Perguntou-lhes Jesus: Filhos, tendes aí alguma coisa de comer? Responderam-lhe: Não.
6 And, he, said unto themCast the net, on the right side of the boat,and ye shall find. They cast, therefore; and, no longer, were they able, to draw, it, for the multitude of the fishes.
6 Então, lhes disse: Lançai a rede à direita do barco e achareis. Assim fizeram e já não podiam puxar a rede, tão grande era a quantidade de peixes.
7 That disciple, therefore, whom Jesus loved, saith unto PeterIt is, the Lord! Simon Peter, therefore, hearing that it was the Lord, girded about him, his upper garment,for he was naked; and cast himself into the sea;
7 Aquele discípulo a quem Jesus amava disse a Pedro: É o Senhor! Simão Pedro, ouvindo que era o Senhor, cingiu-se com sua veste, porque se havia despido, e lançou-se ao mar;
8 but, the other disciples, came, by the little boat,for they were not farther from the land than about two hundred cubits off,dragging the net of fishes.
8 mas os outros discípulos vieram no barquinho puxando a rede com os peixes; porque não estavam distantes da terra senão quase duzentos côvados.
9 So, when they got out upon the land, they behold a coal fire lying, and fish lying over, and bread.
9 Ao saltarem em terra, viram ali umas brasas e, em cima, peixes; e havia também pão.
10 Jesus saith unto themBring of the fish which ye caught just now.
10 Disse-lhes Jesus: Trazei alguns dos peixes que acabastes de apanhar.
11 Simon Peter, therefore, went on board, and drew the net on to the land,full of large fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and, though they were so many, the net was not rent.
11 Simão Pedro entrou no barco e arrastou a rede para a terra, cheia de cento e cinquenta e três grandes peixes; e, não obstante serem tantos, a rede não se rompeu.
12 Jesus saith unto themCome! break your fast. Not one, of the disciples was venturing to ask him, Who art, thou? knowing that it was, the Lord.
12 Disse-lhes Jesus: Vinde, comei. Nenhum dos discípulos ousava perguntar-lhe: Quem és tu? Porque sabiam que era o Senhor.
13 Jesus cometh, and taketh the bread, and giveth unto them; and the fish, in like manner.
13 Veio Jesus, tomou o pão, e lhes deu, e, de igual modo, o peixe.
14 This, already, is the third time Jesus was manifested unto the disciples, after he was raised from among the dead.
14 E já era esta a terceira vez que Jesus se manifestava aos discípulos, depois de ressuscitado dentre os mortos.
15 When, therefore, they had broken their fast, Jesus saith unto Simon PeterSimon, son of John! lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto himYea, Lord! thou, knowest that I am fond of thee, he saith unto himBe feeding my lambs.
15 Depois de terem comido, perguntou Jesus a Simão Pedro: Simão, filho de João, amas-me mais do que estes outros? Ele respondeu: Sim, Senhor, tu sabes que te amo. Ele lhe disse: Apascenta os meus cordeiros.
16 He saith unto him, again, the second timeSimon, son of John! lovest thou me? He saith unto himYea, Lord! thou, knowest that I am fond of thee. He saith unto himBe shepherding my sheep.
16 Tornou a perguntar-lhe pela segunda vez: Simão, filho de João, tu me amas? Ele lhe respondeu: Sim, Senhor, tu sabes que te amo. Disse-lhe Jesus: Pastoreia as minhas ovelhas.
17 He saith unto him, the third timeSimon, son of John! art thou fond of me? Peter was grieved, that he said unto him, the third time, Art thou fond of me? and he said unto himLord! all things, thou, knowest: thou perceivest that I am fond of thee. Jesus saith unto himBe feeding my sheep.
17 Pela terceira vez Jesus lhe perguntou: Simão, filho de João, tu me amas? Pedro entristeceu-se por ele lhe ter dito, pela terceira vez: Tu me amas? E respondeu-lhe: Senhor, tu sabes todas as coisas, tu sabes que eu te amo. Jesus lhe disse: Apascenta as minhas ovelhas.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto theeWhen thou wast younger, thou usedst to gird thyself, and to walk whither thou didst choose; but, when thou shalt become aged, thou shalt stretch out thy hands, and, another, shall gird thee, and bear thee, whither thou dost not choose.
18 Em verdade, em verdade te digo que, quando eras mais moço, tu te cingias a ti mesmo e andavas por onde querias; quando, porém, fores velho, estenderás as mãos, e outro te cingirá e te levará para onde não queres.
19 Now, this, he said, signifying, by what manner of death, he should glorify God. And, having said this, he saith unto himBe following me.
19 Disse isto para significar com que gênero de morte Pedro havia de glorificar a Deus. Depois de assim falar, acrescentou-lhe: Segue-me.
20 Peter, turning about, beholdeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following,who also reclined during the supper upon his breast, and saidLord, who is it that is delivering thee up?
20 Então, Pedro, voltando-se, viu que também o ia seguindo o discípulo a quem Jesus amava, o qual na ceia se reclinara sobre o peito de Jesus e perguntara: Senhor, quem é o traidor?
21 Peter, therefore, seeing, this one, saith unto JesusLord! and, this one, what?
21 Vendo-o, pois, Pedro perguntou a Jesus: E quanto a este?
22 Jesus saith unto himIf I will that, he, remain until I come, what is that to thee? Thou, be following me.
22 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Se eu quero que ele permaneça até que eu venha, que te importa? Quanto a ti, segue-me.
23 This word, therefore, went forth unto the brethren, that, that disciple, should not die. Howbeit, Jesus did not tell him, he should not die; but, If I will that, he, remain until I come, what is that to thee?
23 Então, se tornou corrente entre os irmãos o dito de que aquele discípulo não morreria. Ora, Jesus não dissera que tal discípulo não morreria, mas: Se eu quero que ele permaneça até que eu venha, que te importa?
24 This, is the disciple who beareth witness concerning these things, and who hath written these things; and we know that, true, is, his witness.
24 Este é o discípulo que dá testemunho a respeito destas coisas e que as escreveu; e sabemos que o seu testemunho é verdadeiro.
25 Now there are many other things also, which Jesus did, which, indeed, if they were to be written one by one, not even the world, itself, I suppose, would contain, the books which must be written.
25 Há, porém, ainda muitas outras coisas que Jesus fez. Se todas elas fossem relatadas uma por uma, creio eu que nem no mundo inteiro caberiam os livros que seriam escritos.
