1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
1 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
2 Hallow to me every firstborn, that which any female first beareth among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts,mine! it is.
2 Santificai-me todos os primogênitos, todo o que abriu a madre entre os filhos de Israel, tanto do homem quanto do animal; este é meu.
3 And Moses said unto the people to remember this day, on which ye came forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves, that with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring you forth from hence,there shall not, therefore be eaten anything leavened.
3 E Moisés disse ao povo: Lembrai-vos deste dia, no qual saístes do Egito, da casa da servidão, pois com mão poderosa o SENHOR vos tirou desse lugar. Não se comerá pão levedado.
4 To-day, are, ye, coming forth,in the month Abib.
4 Neste dia, no mês de abibe, vós saístes.
5 And it shall be, when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite, and the Hivite and the Jebusite, which he sware to thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, then shalt thou serve with this service, in this month.
5 E será que, quando o SENHOR te houver introduzido na terra dos cananeus, e dos heteus, e dos amorreus, e dos heveus, e dos jebuseus, que ele jurou a teus pais que te daria, uma terra em que mana leite e mel, que guardarás este culto neste mês.
6 Seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes,and on the seventh day, a festival to Yahweh.
6 Sete dias comerás pão ázimo, e no sétimo dia será uma festa ao SENHOR.
7 Unleavened cakes, shall be eaten for the seven days,neither shall there be seen with thee anything leavened, nor shall there be seen with thee leaven, within any of thy bounds,
7 Comer-se-á pão ázimo durante sete dias, e não se verá pão levedado contigo, nem ainda se verá fermento contigo em todos os teus alojamentos.
8 And thou shalt toll thy son, on that day, saying, because, of that which Yahweh did for me, when he brought me forth out of Egypt.
8 E naquele dia mostrarás a teu filho, dizendo: Isso se faz por causa do que o SENHOR me fez, quando eu saí do Egito.
9 And it shall be to thee for a sign upon thy hand and for a memorial between thine eyes, in order that the law of Yahweh may be in thy mouth,for with a strong hand, did Yahweh bring thee forth out of Egypt.
9 E te será por sinal sobre tua mão, e por memorial entre teus olhos, para que a lei do SENHOR esteja na tua boca, porque com uma mão forte o SENHOR te tirou do Egito.
10 So shalt thou observe this statute in its appointed time,from year to year.
10 Por isso guardarás esta ordenança a seu tempo, ano após ano.
11 And it shall be when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite, as he sware to thee and to thy fathers,and shalt give it thee,
11 E acontecerá que, quando o SENHOR te houver introduzido na terra dos cananeus, como jurou a ti e a teus pais, e te der,
12 that thou shalt set apart whatsoever is born first, to Yahweh; and, of all firstlings of beasts which thou shalt have, the males, shall pertain to Yahweh.
12 que tu separarás para o SENHOR tudo o que abrir a madre, e todo primogênito que vier do animal que tiveres, o macho será do SENHOR.
13 But every firstling of an ass, shalt thou redeem with a lamb or if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break its neck,but every firstborn of men among thy sons, shalt thou redeem.
13 E todo o primogênito da jumenta resgatarás com um cordeiro; e se não o resgatares, quebrarás o seu pescoço. E todo o primogênito do homem entre teus filhos resgatarás.
14 And it shall be when thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, What is this? Then shalt thou say unto him: With strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves.
14 E acontecerá que, quando teu filho te perguntar no futuro, dizendo: O que é isto? Tu lhe dirás: Por força da mão o SENHOR nos tirou do Egito, da casa de servidão.
15 And it came to pass when Pharaoh had shown himself too hardened to let us go, then did Yahweh slay every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of men even unto the firstborn of beasts. For this cause, am, I, sacrificing to Yahweh whatsoever is born first, of the males, and every firstborn of my sons, must I redeem.
15 E aconteceu que, quando Faraó não queria nos deixar sair, o SENHOR matou todos os primogênitos da terra do Egito, tanto o primogênito do homem quanto o primogênito do animal. Por isso, eu sacrifico ao SENHOR tudo que abre a madre, sendo macho, mas resgato todos os primogênitos de meus filhos.
16 And it shall be for a sign upon thy hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes,that, with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt.
16 E será por sinal sobre tua mão, e por frontais entre teus olhos, porque com mão forte, o SENHOR nos tirou do Egito.
17 And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead by the land-way of the Philistines, although it was near,for God saidLest the people be dismayed when they see war and turn back to Egypt.
17 E aconteceu que, quando Faraó havia deixado o povo ir, Deus não o conduziu pelo caminho da terra dos filisteus, embora esse fosse perto; porque Deus disse: Para que porventura o povo não se arrependa, vendo a guerra, e volte para o Egito.
18 So God took the people round the desert-way of the Red Sea,and the sons of Israel went up armed, out of the land of Egypt.
18 Mas Deus fez o povo rodear, pelo caminho do deserto do mar Vermelho, e os filhos de Israel subiram armados da terra do Egito.
19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph, with him,for he had, taken an oath, of the sons of Israel saying, God will, surely visit, you, so then ye shall carry up my bones from hence with you.
19 E Moisés tomou consigo os ossos de José, porque havia jurado solenemente aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Deus certamente vos visitará, e daqui levareis meus ossos convosco.
20 And they brake up from Succoth,and encamped in Etham, at the edge of the desert.
20 E começaram sua jornada de Sucote, e acamparam em Etã, na borda do deserto.
21 Now, Yahweh, was going before themby day, in a pillar of cloud to lead them the way, and by night, in a pillar of fire to give them light,that they might journey day and night:
21 E o SENHOR ia adiante deles de dia numa coluna de nuvem, para conduzi-los pelo caminho, e à noite numa coluna de fogo, para lhes dar luz, para que fossem de dia e de noite.
22 the pillar of cloud by day ceased not, nor the pillar of fire by night,from before the people.
22 Ele não tirou a coluna de nuvem de dia, nem a coluna de fogo à noite, de diante do povo.
