1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
1 Disse o Senhor a Moisés:
2 Hallow to me every firstborn, that which any female first beareth among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts,mine! it is.
2 Consagra-me todo primogênito; todo que abre a madre de sua mãe entre os filhos de Israel, tanto de homens como de animais, é meu.
3 And Moses said unto the people to remember this day, on which ye came forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves, that with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring you forth from hence,there shall not, therefore be eaten anything leavened.
3 Disse Moisés ao povo: Lembrai-vos deste mesmo dia, em que saístes do Egito, da casa da servidão; pois com mão forte o Senhor vos tirou de lá; portanto, não comereis pão levedado.
4 To-day, are, ye, coming forth,in the month Abib.
4 Hoje, mês de abibe, estais saindo.
5 And it shall be, when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite, and the Hivite and the Jebusite, which he sware to thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, then shalt thou serve with this service, in this month.
5 Quando o Senhor te houver introduzido na terra dos cananeus, e dos heteus, e dos amorreus, e dos heveus, e dos jebuseus, a qual jurou a teus pais te dar, terra que mana leite e mel, guardarás este rito neste mês.
6 Seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes,and on the seventh day, a festival to Yahweh.
6 Sete dias comerás pães asmos; e, ao sétimo dia, haverá solenidade ao Senhor .
7 Unleavened cakes, shall be eaten for the seven days,neither shall there be seen with thee anything leavened, nor shall there be seen with thee leaven, within any of thy bounds,
7 Sete dias se comerão pães asmos, e o levedado não se encontrará contigo, nem ainda fermento será encontrado em todo o teu território.
8 And thou shalt toll thy son, on that day, saying, because, of that which Yahweh did for me, when he brought me forth out of Egypt.
8 Naquele mesmo dia, contarás a teu filho, dizendo: É isto pelo que o Senhor me fez, quando saí do Egito.
9 And it shall be to thee for a sign upon thy hand and for a memorial between thine eyes, in order that the law of Yahweh may be in thy mouth,for with a strong hand, did Yahweh bring thee forth out of Egypt.
9 E será como sinal na tua mão e por memorial entre teus olhos; para que a lei do Senhor esteja na tua boca; pois com mão forte o Senhor te tirou do Egito.
10 So shalt thou observe this statute in its appointed time,from year to year.
10 Portanto, guardarás esta ordenança no determinado tempo, de ano em ano.
11 And it shall be when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite, as he sware to thee and to thy fathers,and shalt give it thee,
11 Quando o Senhor te houver introduzido na terra dos cananeus, como te jurou a ti e a teus pais, quando ta houver dado,
12 that thou shalt set apart whatsoever is born first, to Yahweh; and, of all firstlings of beasts which thou shalt have, the males, shall pertain to Yahweh.
12 apartarás para o Senhor todo que abrir a madre e todo primogênito dos animais que tiveres; os machos serão do Senhor .
13 But every firstling of an ass, shalt thou redeem with a lamb or if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break its neck,but every firstborn of men among thy sons, shalt thou redeem.
13 Porém todo primogênito da jumenta resgatarás com cordeiro; se o não resgatares, será desnucado; mas todo primogênito do homem entre teus filhos resgatarás.
14 And it shall be when thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, What is this? Then shalt thou say unto him: With strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves.
14 Quando teu filho amanhã te perguntar: Que é isso? Responder-lhe-ás: O Senhor com mão forte nos tirou da casa da servidão.
15 And it came to pass when Pharaoh had shown himself too hardened to let us go, then did Yahweh slay every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of men even unto the firstborn of beasts. For this cause, am, I, sacrificing to Yahweh whatsoever is born first, of the males, and every firstborn of my sons, must I redeem.
15 Pois sucedeu que, endurecendo-se Faraó para não nos deixar sair, o Senhor matou todos os primogênitos na terra do Egito, desde o primogênito do homem até ao primogênito dos animais; por isso, eu sacrifico ao Senhor todos os machos que abrem a madre; porém a todo primogênito de meus filhos eu resgato.
16 And it shall be for a sign upon thy hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes,that, with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt.
16 E isto será como sinal na tua mão e por frontais entre os teus olhos; porque o Senhor com mão forte nos tirou do Egito.
17 And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead by the land-way of the Philistines, although it was near,for God saidLest the people be dismayed when they see war and turn back to Egypt.
17 Tendo Faraó deixado ir o povo, Deus não o levou pelo caminho da terra dos filisteus, posto que mais perto, pois disse: Para que, porventura, o povo não se arrependa, vendo a guerra, e torne ao Egito.
18 So God took the people round the desert-way of the Red Sea,and the sons of Israel went up armed, out of the land of Egypt.
18 Porém Deus fez o povo rodear pelo caminho do deserto perto do mar Vermelho; e, arregimentados, subiram os filhos de Israel do Egito.
19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph, with him,for he had, taken an oath, of the sons of Israel saying, God will, surely visit, you, so then ye shall carry up my bones from hence with you.
19 Também levou Moisés consigo os ossos de José, pois havia este feito os filhos de Israel jurarem solenemente, dizendo: Certamente, Deus vos visitará; daqui, pois, levai convosco os meus ossos.
20 And they brake up from Succoth,and encamped in Etham, at the edge of the desert.
20 Tendo, pois, partido de Sucote, acamparam-se em Etã, à entrada do deserto.
21 Now, Yahweh, was going before themby day, in a pillar of cloud to lead them the way, and by night, in a pillar of fire to give them light,that they might journey day and night:
21 O Senhor ia adiante deles, durante o dia, numa coluna de nuvem, para os guiar pelo caminho; durante a noite, numa coluna de fogo, para os alumiar, a fim de que caminhassem de dia e de noite.
22 the pillar of cloud by day ceased not, nor the pillar of fire by night,from before the people.
22 Nunca se apartou do povo a coluna de nuvem durante o dia, nem a coluna de fogo durante a noite.
