1 But, when the seventh month was come, and the sons of Israel were in cities, then did the people gather themselves together as one man, unto Jerusalem.
1 E quando o sétimo mês havia chegado, e os filhos de Israel estavam nas cidades, o povo se reuniu como um só homem em Jerusalém.
2 Then aroseJeshua son of Jozadak and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his brethren, and built the altar of the God of Israel,to offer thereon ascending-sacrifices, as it was written in the law of Moses, the man of God.
2 Então, puseram-se de pé Jesuá, o filho de Jozadaque, e os seus irmãos, os sacerdotes, e Zorobabel, o filho de Sealtiel, e os seus irmãos, e edificaram o altar do Deus de Israel, para oferecer sobre ele ofertas queimadas, como está escrito na lei de Moisés, o homem de Deus.
3 So they settled the altar upon its stands, for, dread, was upon them, because of the peoples of the countries,therefore caused they to go up thereon, ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, ascending-sacrifices for the morning and for the evening.
3 E eles puseram o altar sobre as suas bases; porquanto o temor estava sobre eles por causa dos povos daqueles países; e ofereceram sobre eles ofertas queimadas ao SENHOR, a saber, ofertas queimadas da manhã e do anoitecer.
4 And they kept the festival of booths, as it was written,and the ascending-offering of each day upon its own day, by number, according to regulation, the matter of a day upon its day;
4 Eles também celebraram a festa dos tabernáculos como está escrito, e ofereceram as ofertas queimadas diárias por número, de acordo com o costume, como exigia a obrigação de cada dia;
5 and, afterwards, the continual ascending-sacrifice, and, on the new moons, and on all the appointed seasons of Yahweh, the hallowed things,also for every one that volunteered a voluntary offering unto Yahweh.
5 e, posteriormente, ofereceram a oferta queimada contínua, tanto das luas novas, como de todas as festas marcadas do SENHOR que foram consagradas, e de cada um que oferecia deliberadamente uma oferta voluntária ao SENHOR.
6 From the first day of the seventh month, began they to offer up ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh,but, the temple of Yahweh, had not had its foundation laid.
6 A partir do primeiro dia do sétimo mês, eles começaram a oferecer ofertas queimadas ao SENHOR. Mas ainda não tinham lançado os fundamentos do templo do SENHOR.
7 And they gave silver, unto the masons and carpenters,and food and drink and oil, unto them of Zidon and unto them of Tyre, to bring in cedar-trees out of the Lebanon, unto the sea of Joppa, according to the grant of Cyrus king of Persia unto them.
7 Eles também deram dinheiro para os pedreiros, e para os carpinteiros; e carne, e bebida, e azeite, para os de Sidom, e para os de Tiro, para trazerem cedros do Líbano até o mar de Jope, de acordo com a concessão que eles obtiveram de Ciro, rei da Pérsia.
8 Now, in the second year of their coming in unto the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak and the rest of their brethrenthe priests and the Levites, and all that were come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, and stationed the Levites, of twenty years old and upwards, to preside over the work of the house of Yahweh.
8 Ora, no segundo ano da sua vinda à casa de Deus em Jerusalém, no segundo mês, começaram Zorobabel, o filho de Sealtiel, e Jesuá, o filho de Jozadaque, e o remanescente dos seus irmãos, os sacerdotes e os levitas, e todos aqueles que saíram do cativeiro para Jerusalém; e indicaram os levitas, de vinte anos de idade em diante, para fazer avançar o trabalho da casa do SENHOR.
9 So they took their stationeven Jeshua, his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah, as one man to preside over the doer of the work in the house of God, the sons of Henadad, their sons and their brethren, the Levites.
9 Então se levantou Jesuá, com os seus filhos, e seus irmãos, Cadmiel e os seus filhos, os filhos de Judá, como um só homem, para dirigirem os que faziam a obra na casa de Deus, bem como os filhos de Henadade, seus filhos e seus irmãos, os levitas.
10 And, when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Yahweh, then the priests, enrobed, took their stand with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to offer praise unto Yahweh, after the instructions of David king of Israel.
10 E quando os edificadores lançaram os fundamentos do templo do SENHOR, apresentaram-se os sacerdotes, trajando as suas vestes e com trombetas, e os levitas, os filhos de Asafe, com címbalos, para louvarem ao SENHOR, segundo a ordenança de Davi, rei de Israel.
11 And, when they made responses in offering praise and in giving thanks unto YahwehFor he is good, for, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness, upon Israel, then, all the people, shouted with a great shout, in offering praise unto Yahweh, over the laying of the foundation of the house of Yahweh.
11 E eles cantaram juntos por turma, no louvor e nas ações de graças ao SENHOR; porque ele é bom, porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre para com Israel. E todo o povo gritou com um grande brado quando eles louvaram o SENHOR, porque foram lançados os fundamentos da casa do SENHOR.
12 But, many of the priests and the Levites and the ancestral chiefs, who were old men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, were weeping with a loud voice,many, however, shouting and rejoicing, with voice raised on high;
12 Todavia, muitos dos sacerdotes e levitas e chefes dos pais, que eram anciãos, que haviam visto a primeira casa, quando o fundamento desta casa foi lançado diante dos seus olhos, choraram em altas vozes, e muitos gritaram alto de alegria;
13 so that the people could not distinguish the noise of the shout of joy, from the noise of the weeping of the people,for, the people, did shout with a great shout, and, the noise, was heard afar off.
13 de modo que o povo não conseguia discernir o barulho do grito de alegria do barulho do choro do povo; porque o povo gritava com um brado, e o barulho era ouvido ao longe.
