1 Thou shalt not sacrifice unto Yahweh thy God a bullock or a sheep wherein is a blemish, any unseemly thing: for an abomination unto Yahweh thy God, it would be.
1 Ao Senhor teu Deus não sacrificarás boi ou ovelha em que haja defeito ou qualquer deformidade; pois isso é abominação ao senhor teu Deus.
2 When there shall be found in thy midst, within any of thy gates, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, man or woman who doeth the thing which is wicked in the eyes of Yahweh thy God by transgressing his covenant;
2 Se no meio de ti, em alguma das tuas cidades que te dá o Senhor teu Deus, for encontrado algum homem ou mulher que tenha feito o que é mau aos olhos do Senhor teu Deus, transgredindo o seu pacto,
3 yea hath gone, and served other gods, and bowed down unto them,whether unto the sun or unto the moon or unto any of the host of the heavens which I have not commanded;
3 que tenha ido e servido a outros deuses, adorando-os, a eles, ou ao sol, ou à lua, ou a qualquer astro do exército do céu {o que não ordenei},
4 and it shall be told thee and thou shalt hear,and shalt enquire diligently, and lo! truecertain, is the report, this abominable thing hath been done in Israel,
4 e isso te for denunciado, e o ouvires, então o inquirirás bem; e eis que, sendo realmente verdade que se fez tal abominação em Israel,
5 then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman who hath done this wicked thing, within thy gatesthe man, or the woman,and shalt stone them with stones that they die.
5 então levarás às tuas portas o homem, ou a mulher, que tiver cometido esta maldade, e apedrejarás o tal homem, ou mulher, até que morra.
6 At the mouth of two witnesses or three witnesses, shall he that is to die be put to death,he shall not be put to death at the mouth of one witness.
6 Pela boca de duas ou de três testemunhas, será morto o que houver de morrer; pela boca duma só testemunha não morrerá.
7 The hand of the witnesses, shall be upon him first to put him to death, and the hand of all the people, afterwards,so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
7 A mão das testemunhas será a primeira contra ele, para matá-lo, e depois a mão de todo o povo; assim exterminarás o mal do meio de ti.
8 When any matter of judgment, shall be too difficult for theebetween blood and blood between plea and plea or between stroke and stroke, matters of contention within thy gates, then shalt thou arise and go up unto the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose;
8 Se alguma causa te for difícil demais em juízo, entre sangue e sangue, entre demanda e demanda, entre ferida e ferida, tornando-se motivo de controvérsia nas tuas portas, então te levantarás e subirás ao lugar que o Senhor teu Deus escolher;
9 and shalt come in unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge who shall be in those days,and shalt enquire and they shall declare unto thee, the sentence of judgment;
9 virás aos levitas sacerdotes, e ao juiz que houver nesses dias, e inquirirás; e eles te anunciarão a sentença da juízo.
10 and thou shalt do according to the sentence which they shall declare unto thee, out of that place, which Yahweh, shall choose,yea thou shalt observe to do according to all which they shall direct thee:
10 Depois cumprirás fielmente a sentença que te anunciarem no lugar que o Senhor escolher; e terás cuidado de fazer conforme tudo o que te ensinarem.
11 according to the direction wherewith they direct thee and after the judgment which they shall announce to thee, shalt thou do,thou shalt not turn aside from the sentence which they shall declare unto thee to the right hand or to the left.
11 Conforme o teor da lei que te ensinarem, e conforme o juízo que pronunciarem, farás da palavra que te disserem não te desviarás, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda.
12 And, the man who shall do presumptuously by not hearkening unto the priest that standeth to minister there to Yahweh thy God, or unto the judge, that man shall die, and so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of Israel.
12 O homem que se houver soberbamente, não dando ouvidos ao sacerdote, que está ali para servir ao Senhor teu Deus, nem ao juiz, esse homem morrerá; assumirá de Israel o mal.
13 And, all the people, shall hear and fear,and shall not act presumptuously any more.
13 E todo o povo, ouvindo isso, temerá e nunca mais se ensoberbecerá.
14 When thou shalt enter into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, and shalt possess it and dwell therein,and shalt sayI will set over me a king, like all the nations that are round about me,
14 Quando entrares na terra que o Senhor teu Deus te dá, e a possuíres e, nela habitando, disseres: Porei sobre mim um rei, como o fazem todas as nações que estão em redor de mim;
15 thou shalt, set, over thee as king, him whom Yahweh thy God shall choose,out of the midst of thy brethren, shalt thou set over thee a king, thou mayest not appoint over thee a man that is a foreigner, who is not thy brother.
15 porás certamente sobre ti como rei aquele que o Senhor teu Deus escolher. Porás um dentre teus irmãos como rei sobre ti; não poderás pôr sobre ti um estrangeiro, homem que não seja de teus irmãos.
16 Moreover he shall not multiply to himself horses, neither shall he cause the people to return to Egypt that he may multiply horses,when, Yahweh, hath said unto you, Ye shall not again return this way any more.
16 Ele, porém, não multiplicará para si cavalos, nem fará voltar o povo ao Egito, para multiplicar cavalos; pois o Senhor vos tem dito: Nunca mais voltareis por este caminho.
17 Neither shall he multiply to himself wives, that his heart turn not aside,nor silver and gold, shall he multiply to himself greatly.
17 Tampouco multiplicará para si mulheres, para que o seu coração não se desvie; nem multiplicará muito para si a prata e o ouro.
18 But it shall be when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, then shall he write for himself a copy of this law upon a scroll, out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
18 Será também que, quando se assentar sobre o trono do seu reino, escreverá para si, num livro, uma cópia desta lei, do exemplar que está diante dos levitas sacerdotes.
19 so shall it be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life,that he may learn to revere Yahweh his God, to observe all the words of this law and these statutes to do them:
19 E o terá consigo, e nele lerá todos os dias da sua vida, para que aprenda a temer ao Senhor seu Deus, e a guardar todas as palavras desta lei, e estes estatutos, a fim de os cumprir;
20 that his heart may not be lifted up above his brethren, and he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left,that he may prolong his days over his kingdomhe and his sons, in the midst of Israel.
20 para que seu coração não se exalte sobre seus irmãos, e não se aparte do mandamento, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda; a fim de que prolongue os seus dias no seu reino, ele e seus filhos, no meio de Israel.
