Bag-o nga Kasugtanan (ROL) vs VC
1 Tungod natawo na kamo liwat, bayai na nindo ang tanan nga klasi ng kalainan. Ayaw kamo magpangluko o magpakunukuno. Indì kamo magkasina o maghambay ning malain kontra sa indo isigkatawo.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Pareho ng lapsag nga nagakahinangyan ning gatas ng iya nanay, handuma da nindo ang purong espiritwal nga gatas agud magbahoy kamo hasta mabaton nindo ang kabilugan ng indo kaluwasan.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Kay naagihan na nindo ang kaayo ng Ginoo.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Siya ang buhì nga bato nga gingsikway ng mga tawo pero gingpilì ng Dios kag importante gid sa iya panirò. Kag mintras nagapalapit kamo sa iya,

5 kamo nga pareho da ng buhì nga mga bato hay ginapatindog ng Dios para maging espiritwal nga bayay. Kag bilang mga parì nga ginglain para sa Dios, nagahalad kamo sa iya ning espiritwal nga mga halad* nga makatao kalipay sa iya, kay ginahuman nindo ini paagi kay Hesu-Kristo.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Parti kay Hesu-Kristo, nagahambay ang Dios sa Kasulatan,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Nganì kamo nga nagatuo hay padunggan ng Dios. Pero sa mga tawo nga wayà nagatuo, natuman ang ginahambay ng Kasulatan,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Kag nagahambay pa gid ang Kasulatan,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Pero kamo hay gingpilì ng Dios, mga parì nga nagaserbisyo sa Harì, isa ka nasyon ng mga balaan nga tawo ng Dios kag naging iya na kamo agud ipasayod ang iya makatitingaya nga mga hinimuan. Gingtawag niya kamo halin sa kaduyom pakadto sa iya makatitingaya nga kahayag.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Nang una, bukon kamo mga tawo ng Dios, pero niyan, kamo hay mga tawo na ng Dios. Nang una, wayà kamo gingkaluy-i ng Dios, pero niyan, ginakaluy-an na niya kamo.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Mga pinalanggà, ang kalibutan hay bukon permanenti nga istaran nindo kag mga istranghero lang kamo diri. Nganì nagapangabay ako sa indo, likawi na ang malain nga mga handom ng lawas nga nagakontra gid sa indo espiritu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ipakità nindo sa mga tawo nga wayà relasyon sa Dios ang indo maayo nga pagkabuhì. Aber ginapabintangan ninda kamo niyan nga nagahuman ning malain, makikità ninda nga maayo galì ang indo ginahuman. Sa ulihi dayawon ninda ang Dios sa adlaw ng iya pag-abot.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Tungod sa Ginoo, magpasakop kamo sa tanan nga tawo nga nagadumaya: maging sa harì nga imaw ang may pinakamataas nga otoridad,

14 o sa mga gobernador nga imaw ang gingtaw-an ning gahom ng harì nga magparusa sa mga nagahuman ning malain kag maghimayà sa mga nagahuman ning maayo.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kay imaw ini ang kabubut-on ng Dios, agud kung maghuman kamo ning maayo, wayà ning mahahambay kontra sa indo ang mga tawo nga nagapinaluko nga wayà pa makaintindi ng kamatuuran.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Hilway na kamo pero bukon ini gusto hambayon nga hilway da kamo para maghuman ning malain; kundì magkabuhì kamo bilang mga ulipon ng Dios.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Tahura nindo ang tanan nga tawo kag higugmaa ang indo mga kauturan kay Kristo. Magkabuhì kamo nga may kahadlok sa Dios kag tahura ang harì.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Kamo nga mga ulipon, tumana nindo ang indo mga amo nga may kahadlok sa Dios, bukon lang ang mabuot kundì patì da ang mga mapintas.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Kay pakamaayuhon gid kamo ng Dios kung ginatiis nindo ang mga kahugaan aber wayà kamo ning salà nga nahuman kay gusto nindo tumanon ang kabubut-on ng Dios.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Pero kung sakiton kamo tungod sa indo ginahuman nga malain, dayawon ba kamo ng Dios bisan ginatiis nindo ang parusa nga inà? Syempre indì! Pero kung ginasakit kamo aber maayo ang indo ginahuman kag kung ginaagwanta nindo ini, kaluy-an gid kamo ng Dios.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ang pag-antos ni Kristo ng mga kahugaan para sa aton hay imaw ang ihimplo nga dapat naton patuyaran. Kag imaw ini ang kabangdanan kung basì gingtawag kita, agud masunod ta ang pagkabuhì ni Kristo.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Wayà gid siya nakasalà kag wayà gid nagpinusong.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ging-insulto siya pero wayà gid nagbayos ning insulto. Gingsakit siya pero wayà gid nagpamahog. Nagsalig siya sa Dios nga imaw ang nagahusga ning tamà.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Si Kristo mismo ang nag-akò ng aton mga salà nang siya hay ginglangsang sa krus, agud indì na kita magpakasalà kundì magkabuhì kita ning matarong. Tungod sa iya mga pilas nga ging-antos, nag-ayo kita.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Nang una, pareho kita sa mga karnero nga nagtayang, pero niyan nakabalik na kita sa Ginoo nga Pastor* kag Miyugbantay ng aton kabuhì.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
