1 KOMAIL ari muei sang song en sued karos o widing karos, o malaun, o peirin, o karaun mal karos.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 A komail en dueta seri pwelel, me apton ipwidier, ap inong iong pil en didi mau o melel, pwe komail en kakairi kida i,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Ma komail diaradar, me Kaun o me kalangan.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Komail waroki ong i me rasong takai maur, me aramas akan kaselar, ap lipilipiler o kasampwal ren Kot.
4 — ausente —
5 O pein komail en kakauda duen takai memaur, wiala im ngenin o pwin en samero saraui, pwen kida mairong, me pwili sang Ngen o, me Kot kotin kupura ki Iesus Kristus.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 I me intingidier nan puk saraui: Kilang, I kidi ong nan Sion takai en pukakaim, me lipilipil o kasampwal, o me poson i, sota pan namenokala.
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Komail ari, me liki i, pan ale pai kasampwal o; a ren me soposon akan, a rasong takai eu, me men kau im akan kaselar; ari so, a wialar takai en pukakaim,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 O takai en kapupedi, o paip en kamakar, irail kin dipikelekel, aki re sota peik iong masan o, i me pil kileledi ong irail.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 A komail sau lipilipil eu, samero isou kan, pokon saraui, aramas me netier, pwen kapara sili manaman akan en me kotin molipedo komail sang nan rotorot ong a marain kapuriamui.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Mas komail sota wei eu, a met komail wein Kot; o mas komail sota konekonela, a met, komail konekonelar.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Kompok kan, i panaui komail pwe komail men kairu o men wai, komail muei sang inong sued en uduk, me kin palian ngen.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Omail wiawia kan nan pung en men liki kan en pung, pwe ni ar kine likam ong komail, dene komail me sued kai, ir lao kilang omail wiawia me mau, ren kapinga Kot ni ran en kasansal.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Komail ari duki ong kaun pan aramas akan karos pweki Kaun: Ma nanmarki, pwe i ta kaun lapalap.
13 — ausente —
14 A ma saumas akan, me pakadarado sang re a, pwen depuk ong me sapung kan, ap kapinga me kin wiawia mau.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Pwe iet eten duen kupur en Kot: Komail en kadukie kidi omail wiawia mau dodok en aramas pweipwei kan.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Duen me saladokalar, ap sota wia kin arail saladok, men pwaindi dip arail, a duen ladun Kot.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Kakaki amen amen, pok ong saulang kan, lan Kot, wauneki nanmarki!
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Komail papa kan, upai ong omail kaun akan ni masak, kaidin ong me mau o kalangan eta, a pil ong me kin kowei kodo.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Pwe mak eta, amen en kamekameki a pung ren Kot, o kanongama pan me sued.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Pwe da kadepa, ma komail pan pukoki pein dip omail? A ni omail wiawia me mau, ap kamekam ki o kanongama, nan i me mak ren Kot.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Pwe i me komail paeker kido, pwe pil Kristus kamekam kin komail, wiala kilel pa ’mail, pwe komail en idauen wei lip a.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Me sota wia dip, pil sota widing diarok nin silang i.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Kasuedi, a so suedeki, kaankamekam, ap sota akdepuk, a a meuid ong i, me kin kadiekada pung.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Pein i tomki dip atail nan war a nin tuka o, pwe kitail en mela sang dip atail akan, ap pan maur iong me pung, me moun lip a komail kelail kidar.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Pwe komail rasong sip, me salongalar, a met komail sapale dong silepa ’mail o Kaun pan ngen omail.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
