2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Hár ngötsꞌi di xiꞌahu̱ gi beñhu̱ nꞌadar mfeni, di ko ri mu̱ihu̱ gi mhöhu̱ ngu ya tsi ku, gi pe̱ꞌsu̱ ar nhwëki ne gi ntsixkwihu̱ gatho.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Ngetho ngu enga har Tꞌofo:
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Dá hye̱ ar tsꞌoki ne da ꞌyo̱tꞌa nöꞌö xiñho.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Ngetho ar tsi Hmu handa xiñho nuꞌu̱ pe̱ꞌsa nꞌar mꞌu̱i xintꞌaxi,
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Ha nuꞌmu̱ gi o̱thu̱ nöꞌö xiñho, togo tsa̱ te da jaꞌahu̱ ꞌmu̱.
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Ne nuꞌmu̱ ja te da njaꞌahu̱ ngetho gi o̱thu̱ xiñho, nza̱thoꞌö. Yo gi jafu̱masu ne da piꞌahu̱, ne hingi tu ri mu̱ihu̱.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Nöꞌö gi pe̱hu̱, nsundahu̱ Jö ar tsi Hmu ha ri mu̱ihu̱. Ne hyaxꞌmu̱ gi ꞌbu̱hu̱ xka ñhoju̱ gi thöthu̱, hingi ñꞌexu̱ ne di ꞌbe̱nga ntꞌekꞌei nuꞌu̱ togo a̱ñꞌahu̱ teme di bo̱nga ri ndo̱ꞌmihu̱ gi pe̱ꞌsu̱.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Xiñhoꞌö nuꞌmu̱ gi thohu̱ ya thogi ngetho gi o̱thu̱ nöꞌö xiñho, nuꞌmu̱ njapꞌu̱ ne ar tsi Hmu, hinge gi thohu̱ ya thogi ngetho gi o̱thu̱ ya tsꞌoki.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Nunar tsi Hmu Hesukristo bi tho nꞌagitho ar ndöte, njapꞌu̱ bi hñöga ma tsꞌokihu̱. Ar hogajöꞌi bi unga ár te bi po̱kagihu̱ nuju̱ xta o̱thu̱ ya tsꞌoki, ne da zixkagihu̱ ma ga ꞌbu̱hwihu̱ Jö. Majöni bi du ár ndoꞌyo, ha nu ár hñö himbi du, po̱ntho bi mengi bi nte núꞌmu̱ mi nanga manꞌagi ár ndoꞌyo.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Nunar dehenu̱ bi ñuꞌsa ar ximha̱i, ñhe̱hwi ar xixthe nuya payu̱. Nunar xixthenu̱, hinge di nehu̱ ga xu̱ju̱ ma ndoꞌyohu̱. Gehnu̱ nꞌar ntꞌudi di uñhu̱ hár nthandi Jö hinte tsu̱ka ma mfenihu̱, ne xta mpo̱hu̱. Gathonu̱ xta höñhu̱ ngetho bi mengi bi nte ar tsi Hmu Hesukristo.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Gehnu̱ mi wadi bi bo̱xa mhetsꞌi, bi hñuxa hár ñꞌe̱i Jö. Ne gatho ya e̱nxe̱, ya ndö ne ya tsꞌu̱tꞌwi o̱ta nöꞌö möñꞌö.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
