1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 A -gblee, -bho ꞌꞌyu ꞌwlʋ -lreeka, ɔ-ɔ ꞌbɔ-ɔ ti ɔ ꞌke ꞌnya ꞌle ɔ-ɔ ꞌnyaꞌo, ɔ-ɔ ꞌbhʋaꞌo. -Ka -lue ꞌmnɔ, a-bʋ ꞌyeꞌa ɛ-bɛ tinɩɛzɛgɛ ꞌmnɛ, a ꞌbɔ ti a ꞌke -Lagɔwlu ꞌmʋtiꞌcrɛ, ꞌle a ꞌke ɛ ꞌmʋtiꞌcrɛ zɔꞌꞌo zɔ ꞌle ɛ ꞌke amʋ ꞌkpɩ ꞌmʋ po ꞌle a ꞌke ɛ-bɛ tinɩɛlre ꞌmnɛ ꞌli ti-de -ka -zɛgɛka, ꞌle, -nɔɔ -ke ti a-a ꞌyeꞌa ꞌbho -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌtroli -nɩ mʋ ꞌle yaku ꞌli, ɛ ꞌke ɛ ꞌꞌkpi bhla!
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 ꞌƐ dɩ ɩ ꞌcnɩ-ɛꞌɛ -kaa ꞌle -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌbɔgʋ ꞌli: Aꞌba ꞌꞌbhi yibo-oꞌo -ka -aꞌba -Kɔyiꞌa ꞌlimʋ -nmɔꞌɔ wɔn.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 ꞌKa-a ɩ -nɩꞌe ꞌmʋꞌa dɩ, a ꞌꞌsrii -aꞌba -Kɔyi *Zezii! ꞌƆ nyɔtu kɔɔꞌɔ-ɔ sʋkpʋ ꞌle ɔ-ɔ ꞌꞌnyɩꞌe nyʋ ꞌꞌkɔgwlɛtinɩɛzɛgɛ. Ɛ -nɩꞌa -kaa ꞌmʋ a, nyunyuꞌa -dadudu -see ɔ ꞌybha. Ɛ -nɩꞌa -kaa ꞌmʋ -lrɛɛ, -Lagɔ -cɛ ꞌnɔ-ɔ kpɔ ꞌɔ lbhʋꞌa dɩ, ꞌle, sʋkpʋ-ʋ ꞌbhleꞌa ꞌpɛlʋ, ɔ -nɩꞌe ꞌɛ ka.

5 A -gblee, ɛ-bɛ ꞌꞌkɔgwlɛtinɩɛzɛgɛ ꞌmnɛ, a ꞌye -ɛꞌo -lrɛɛ. ꞌƐ dɩ, a ꞌꞌsrii nɔ ꞌle a -ke ɔ ꞌke ꞌꞌyiꞌꞌsisri ꞌle a-bee -mnʋʋ ꞌke ꞌꞌyiꞌꞌsisri -lrɛɛ ꞌle a ꞌke aꞌba ꞌꞌbhi -aꞌba -Kɔyi -Lagɔ -jeyi ꞌꞌnyɩ ꞌwee ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌɔ bʋbɔmʋ ꞌꞌdu, ꞌle, Zezii *Kliisɩ ꞌmɛꞌɛ -aꞌba ꞌꞌnyinynidɩꞌa dɩ, ꞌɔ kamʋ aꞌba bʋbɔɛ ꞌmnɛ ꞌke -Lagɔ ꞌmnɔ ꞌtʋ nʋ!
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 A ꞌye li-ɔ, ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu-a, ɩ ꞌcnɩ-ɛꞌɛ-ɛ ꞌle -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌbɔgʋ ꞌli ꞌɔ damʋ na:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 A ꞌye li-ɔ, a-bʋ de ꞌɔ ꞌꞌgwli, ɔ-ɔ ꞌmo-o aꞌba damʋ nyɔklagba. ꞌBho nyʋ -yʋ -see ꞌɔ ꞌꞌgwlideꞌa damʋ, ɔ-ɔ ꞌmo-o:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Le ɛ-bɛ -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌbɔgʋ -lue ꞌmnɛ ꞌli, wludie ꞌcnɩ-ɛꞌɛ ꞌle -lrɛɛ ꞌɔ damʋ, ɛ na:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ɛ -nɩꞌa -kaa ꞌmʋ a, a-bee -mnʋʋ ꞌmo-o nyʋ -aꞌba -Kɔyi -Lagɔ -cɛꞌɛ kpɔ ɔ ꞌke -kɔ, ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌɔ bʋbɔmʋ ꞌꞌdu. Ɔ -zaꞌa-a amʋ ꞌle ꞌꞌnyinynidɩꞌa -kuyre ꞌmʋ ꞌle ɔ ꞌye zɔ -ya ꞌle aꞌba -pɔlʋ ꞌzɔ ꞌle a ꞌye ꞌɔ ꞌꞌdɩzɩgɩ ꞌwɔɔn, ɔ ꞌye amʋ tinɩɛlre ꞌꞌnyɩ, ꞌle, lɩklɩgbɩ ɔ-ɔ nʋꞌa, a ꞌke ɩ nyʋ -bodɩ ꞌmʋ-za.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 -Bɛnyɩ a, a -se ꞌkɩ-ɩ ꞌɔ nyʋ -ko. ꞌTraamʋ a ꞌꞌduꞌo ꞌɔ nyʋ. -Bɛnyɩ a, -ka -Lagɔ ꞌyeꞌa aꞌba ngaze, a se ɩ ꞌkɩ yibo. ꞌTraamʋ ꞌtɔ ɔ, ꞌɛ lɛtu -tɔ-ɛꞌɛ-ɛ amʋ ꞌꞌyi ꞌle a ꞌye ɩ yibo.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 ꞌAn dɩkmalotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu-a, a popo ꞌgwlʋti na, a-a ꞌmo-o ꞌlɩkpamʋ ꞌnɔɔ ꞌkmʋ ꞌmʋ! A -see ꞌnɔɔ -gwlenamʋ yi. ꞌƐ ꞌꞌlru ꞌꞌyi ꞌɩn-ɩ ꞌtmʋʋꞌo amʋ, lɩ aꞌba ꞌꞌnyinyninaagɩ-ɩ ꞌꞌtuuꞌa amʋ ꞌmʋ ꞌle a ꞌbɔꞌɔ ti a ꞌke ɩ nʋ, a ꞌꞌdu aꞌba ꞌꞌbhi ꞌꞌyrili ꞌya damʋ! Ɩ-bɩ lɩ ꞌmnɩ, ɩ-ɩ ꞌꞌdu-o amʋ -zicɛ ꞌmʋ, ꞌle, kpli-i nʋꞌa -Lagɔ ꞌtʋ, a -kɩɩ ɩ nʋ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Nyʋ-ʋ se ꞌɔ yibo, ꞌnɔɔ a -nɩꞌa ꞌle ꞌwa ꞌꞌklumʋ, a nʋ ꞌle kplizɩgɩ! Ʋ-bʋ nyʋ ꞌmnʋ, -bho ʋn -ka amʋ dɩ ꞌꞌyi-ikpa, a nʋ ꞌꞌyrilinmɔkpli ꞌꞌkɔmʋ, ʋn ꞌke ɩ ꞌꞌyrili-gwɛ, ꞌle, -da *Zezii-i ꞌyeꞌa ꞌnɔɔ ꞌkmʋ ꞌmʋ le -yi -nɩ mʋ, ɔ ꞌke ʋ -zigle -tu, ꞌle ʋn ꞌke ꞌɔ ꞌnynɩ ꞌꞌyiꞌbhɛɛ!
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 ꞌAn ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu-a, ꞌbhlɩkpɩ -ke ꞌꞌkpi a -nɩꞌa a, nyɔꞌꞌo nyɔ-ɔ ꞌma-a ꞌleꞌa nyʋꞌa -jolʋgbopoyi, -aꞌba -Kɔyi Zezii *Kliisɩꞌa nyʋ a ꞌꞌduꞌa kamʋ, a ꞌꞌdu ɔ ꞌbho! ꞌBhlʋkpayowliklagba-a -kɔꞌɔ nyʋ ꞌwee, a ꞌꞌdu ɔ ꞌbho!

14 Ɔ-bɔ ꞌbhlʋkpayowliklagba ꞌmnɔ, ꞌbhlʋkpayowli ɔbɔ ꞌꞌduꞌa ꞌbho -lrɛɛ, a ꞌꞌdu ɔ ꞌbho -lrɛɛ! Ɔ ꞌꞌdu -ʋ ꞌbho, ꞌle, nyʋ-ʋ nʋꞌa ꞌꞌnyinynidɩ, ɔ ꞌke ʋ ꞌkleyeɛɛ ꞌꞌkpi -ya, ꞌle, -yʋ nʋꞌa -zɛgɛ, ɔ ꞌke ꞌwa ꞌꞌyrilinmɔdɩ -za.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 A -gblee, Zeziiꞌa ꞌꞌdɩzɩgɩ a-a zaꞌa ꞌmʋ, nyʋ-ʋꞌa ꞌwɩn ꞌɩ ꞌmʋti, -ʋ ꞌꞌdu ꞌɛ dɩ -ʋ cɛꞌɛ amʋ, -Lagɔ ꞌbɔ-ɔ ti a ꞌke kplizɩgɩ nʋ ꞌꞌkɔmʋ, -bho ʋn -gbʋ nɩ ya ꞌle ʋn ꞌke wɔn ꞌꞌmu.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 A-bʋ ꞌma-a ꞌꞌyiflɔmʋ, -ʋ zetie-ɛꞌɛ ꞌle ꞌꞌnyinynidɩ ꞌmʋ, kpli a ꞌka nʋ a, a nʋ ɩ! ꞌBho ꞌɛ lemʋ, aꞌba ꞌꞌyiflɔɛ ꞌmnɛ, aꞌba ꞌnɛ ɛ ꞌꞌyi, aꞌba nʋ ꞌꞌnyinynidɩ -le! A-bʋ ꞌma-a -Lagɔꞌɔ lbhʋnʋmʋ, kpli a ꞌka ꞌbhle a, a ꞌbhle ɩ ꞌle a ꞌke ɔ ꞌbho ꞌꞌdu!
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 ꞌAn ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu-a, a ꞌꞌdu ꞌbho nyʋ ꞌwee! A -kma a -Bozeziiꞌa nyʋꞌa dɩ! A ꞌꞌdu ꞌbho -Lagɔ! A ꞌꞌdu ꞌbho ꞌbhlʋkpayowliklagba -lrɛɛ!
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 A-bʋ ꞌma-a nyʋꞌa lbhʋnʋmʋ, ꞌɩn-ɩ ꞌtmʋʋꞌo amʋ-ɛ, aꞌba -klɩgbɩ -ke lbhʋ a-a nʋꞌa a, a ꞌꞌdu ʋ ꞌbho! ꞌWa -yʋ -nmɔꞌɔ amʋ kwa ꞌmʋti, aꞌba ꞌꞌdu ꞌbho ꞌwa ꞌꞌsɛ -le! -Yʋ -nyniꞌa amʋ kwa ꞌmʋti, a ꞌꞌdu ʋ ꞌbho -lrɛɛ!
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 A -gblee, nyɔ-ɔ -seeꞌa ꞌꞌnyinynilɛ nʋ, -bho ʋn -kɔ ɔ ꞌkleyeɛɛ ꞌꞌkpi-i ya, -bho ɔ popo -Lagɔ ꞌgwlʋti ꞌle ɔ ꞌke ꞌꞌgwli-ku, ɔ ꞌke ɩ wɔn ꞌmʋ cɛ, ꞌɛ lɛtu nʋꞌo -Lagɔ ꞌtʋ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 ꞌBho ꞌɛ lemʋ, -bho aꞌba kpli se ꞌꞌyrili-nmɔ, -bho ʋn ꞌꞌdu ꞌɛ dɩ, -bho ʋn -ka amʋ-ʋ sɩa nɩ, ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌꞌgwli-ku, a ꞌke ɩ wɔn ꞌmʋ cɛ, leedɩ a-a fuo ꞌnɔ wɔn aꞌba -zɛgɛꞌɛ dɩꞌa? Ɛ -nɩꞌa -kaa ꞌmʋ a, -bho a -ka kplizɩgɩ-ɩ nʋ, -bho ʋn ꞌꞌdu ꞌɛ dɩ, -bho ʋn -ka amʋ ꞌkleyeɛɛ ꞌꞌkpi-i ya, ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌꞌgwli-ku, a ꞌke ɩ wɔn ꞌmʋ cɛ, ꞌɛ lɛtu nʋ ꞌɔ ꞌtʋ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 A ꞌye li-ɔ, a ꞌke ꞌkle ꞌye ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌꞌgwli-ku, a ꞌke ɩ wɔn ꞌmʋ cɛ, ꞌɩnnɛ ɔ ꞌybhaꞌo a ꞌke ꞌmʋ-zi -nɩ ꞌle lɩ -lrɩɩ ꞌmʋ, -ɛkedɩmaa, *ꞌɔ ꞌBhozayi -ɔ ꞌpʋʋnꞌa nyʋ, ꞌka-a ɔ ꞌyeꞌe ꞌkle aꞌba dɩ, ꞌle ɔ ꞌye amʋ ꞌɛ yagbʋlɛ lisie ꞌle aꞌba kpli ꞌke ꞌɔ nɩ ꞌꞌsɛlɩ-za.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Lɛ-ɛ ꞌma-a ꞌꞌnyinynilɛ ꞌbho -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌyigbeyi, ɔ -see ꞌɛ -lue ꞌtɩn nʋ, ꞌle, lɛ-ɛ ꞌma-a sɩn, ɛ -see ꞌle ꞌɔ wɔn ꞌmʋ ꞌwlʋ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ɔ -nɩꞌa ꞌnɔɔ ꞌkmʋ ꞌmʋ, nyʋꞌa -dadudu ꞌꞌjree nɔ-oꞌo. Ɛ -nɩꞌa -kaa ꞌmʋ a, ɔ -see ꞌwa nyɔ -lue ꞌtɩn ꞌꞌjree. Ʋn -yɔ ꞌɔ-ɔ ꞌkleyeɛɛ ꞌꞌkpi -lrɛɛ. Ɛ -nɩꞌa -kaa ꞌmʋ a, ɔ -see ꞌꞌyitiꞌꞌbhiti ꞌle ɔ ꞌke ʋ -kaa ꞌꞌyi-iꞌlɛ na, ɔ-ɔ ꞌye -ʋ ꞌkleyeɛɛ ꞌꞌkpi -ya -mʋ, nʋ. -Lagɔ -ke -zigle ꞌsrɛɛꞌɛ ꞌꞌyi, ꞌle ꞌɔ kwa ꞌmʋ ɔ-ɔ de ꞌɩ ti.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Ɔ-bɔ -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌBhozayi ꞌmnɔ, -aꞌba ꞌꞌnyinynidɩꞌa ꞌꞌlru ꞌꞌyi ʋn ꞌlbha -nɩ ꞌnɔ ꞌbho nyʋyrilbhaatu ꞌꞌyri, ꞌle ꞌɔ ꞌmɛmɛɛ ꞌmnɛꞌɛ dɩ ɔ ꞌye -amʋ zetie ꞌle ɩ ꞌmʋ, ꞌle, ꞌya -belu ꞌka -amʋ bhla, ɩ ꞌye ɔ ꞌꞌkpi tiꞌga. ꞌKa-a ɔ ꞌmɛꞌo -aꞌba dɩ ꞌle ꞌꞌnyinynidɩ -kaa ꞌtɔ -amʋ ꞌꞌlru ꞌmʋ -kɔ ꞌle -a ꞌke ꞌya nʋnʋdɩ ꞌbhɔ, ꞌle, kpli-i ꞌsrɛɛꞌɛ ꞌꞌyi ꞌbho -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌyigbeyi, -a ꞌke ɩ ꞌli ti-de ꞌle -aꞌba tinɩɛ ꞌmʋ. Kɩn, ꞌan ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu-a, ɛ-bɛ ꞌkle ɔ ꞌyeꞌa dɩ, a ꞌpʋnꞌo.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 A -gblee, -bɛnyɩ a, -da a se ꞌɔ -bhla yibo ke, lɛ a ꞌybhaꞌa, ꞌɩnnɛ a-a nʋꞌo ꞌle a-a bhluꞌo ꞌꞌmamajolʋ -ka *ꞌbhlabhlɩ-ɩ seꞌa *ꞌꞌyriliduyi ꞌbhle, ꞌle ɩ-ɩ naꞌa ti badiibadii. ꞌTraamʋ ꞌtɔ ɔ, -ka, -bho ɩ ꞌyeꞌa -jolʋ ꞌle ɩ-ɩ muꞌa ꞌya ꞌꞌyriliduyi gbo, ɔ-bɔ *Zezii *Kliisɩ ꞌꞌduꞌa amʋ ꞌꞌyrili, -ɔ poꞌa amʋ -jolʋzɛgɛ gbo, ꞌka-a a ꞌꞌbhiti ꞌnɔ gbo ꞌle ɔ ꞌke amʋ -kɔ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
