1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Mɔna debaŋ kamasɛ na ɛ yela Wurubuarɛ nombia ŋan ŋaageŋ ke gyɔ ŋon loo, ŋgba mena keŋ dide loŋ ne gyɔ biikyaa loo nɛ. Akpaa ɛ yɛɛ mena na gyae ke yela ɛ ka bee ɛ kelɛɛdi keŋ man nideli, na ɛ ke nyiŋ nyeedoŋ kekpaa keŋ.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Ɛ yela ɛ loo ke gyakaa mena nombia kɛŋa dɔɔ debaŋ kamasɛ, nawolo nyi ɛmɛɛ gbagba te naa nyi de Gbeŋgyoo Yesu Kristo dana wɔe nideli.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mena dɔɔ ɛ tuu benaa de Gbeŋgyoo Yesu Kristo, nawolo nyi ŋon yɛna nyeedoŋ pou nyee. Ɔ yɛɛ ŋgba boe keŋ deni maara ne kɛɛ ke nyi kɔɔ taŋ tɔnɔɔ ya nɛ. Mɔna Wurubuarɛ ŋon ɔ ba lese e nɛ siaman na, ɔ dana tɔnɔɔ nideli.

5 Ɛmɛɛ mɔ te nyiŋ nyeedoŋ. Ɛ yɛɛ yaa ŋgba boya ŋan Wurubuarɛ ba mo ɔ ne ma ɔ deni dinaa keŋ nɛ, te ɛ bese ɔ saese na ɛ ke ta Yesu Kristo dɔɔ fa e kedi keŋ na gyoo ɔ sia.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Nawolo nyi Wurubuarɛ nombia aŋmaraseŋ see ŋan yakowɔ yenaŋ daale nyiaa,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ɛmɛɛ baŋ ɛ ne lɛɛ e di nɛ dɔɔ ɔ dana tɔnɔɔ fa ŋon, mɔna balaŋ baŋ bɔɔ bɛɛ e nɛ dɔɔ ba te yeli Wurubuarɛ nombia ŋan ɔ be ŋmarase see nɛ te kaa yɛɛ ampaŋ. Nombia ŋenaŋ yɛna nyi,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Wurubuarɛ nombia aŋmaraseŋ see ŋan besewɔ yako yenaŋ daale bela nyiaa,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Mɔna ɛmɛɛ dɔɔ, ɛmɛɛ yɛna balaŋ baŋ Wurubuarɛ ba lese nɛ. Ɛmɛɛ yɛna ɔ saese na ɔ gyoorobia. Ɛmɛɛ yɛna balaŋ baŋ Wurubuarɛ ba lese te ɔ be desina wɔ see fa ɔ wose. Ɛmɛɛ yɛna Wurubuarɛ balaŋ gbagba baŋ. Ŋon lesena ŋon na ɛ ke nyiŋ kolosi ɔ nombia dinaana ŋan ŋɔɔ taŋ keyako ya nɛ fa balaŋ. Ŋon lesena ŋon lee ditiŋtɛɛ man kɔŋ ɔ keŋmaŋee dinaa keŋ man.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Gyaŋgba keŋ na nafɔ ɛ te yɛɛ Wurubuarɛ balaŋwɔ ya, mɔna nɛnɛɛ dɔɔ ɛ te kaa bese ɔ balaŋ gbagba. Gyaŋgba keŋ na Wurubuarɛ te wii ɛ waraŋase ya, mɔna nɛnɛɛ dɔɔ ɔ te kaa wii ɛ waraŋase.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Me tebia kpaakpaa, ɛ tɔɔse nyi ɛ yɛɛ ŋɔɔlawɔ te ɛ be gyae ɛ ke kyaa tɛɛle kei dɔɔ kekpaakekpaa ya. Mena dɔɔ mɛɛ waase ŋon bo nyiaa, ɛ lese ɛ wose lee ɛ wosenaane lookum keŋ ne wɔŋee ŋon wee na wee nɛ man. Nawolo nyi mena abɔɔ ŋenaŋ be gyae ke yela ɛ ke tale yɛɛ Wurubuarɛ kegyaebii ya.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Keŋ ɛ kyaa bom na balaŋ baŋ ba te yɛɛ Kristotenawɔ ya nɛ dɔɔ, ɛ yela ɛ kekyaabii ke yɛɛ loo. Nyi akpaa be yako gba nyi “Kristotena kɛwɔ yɛɛ nombiakumɛɛyɛɛrawɔ” na, ɛ yela baa naa abɔɔ kpaakpaa ŋan ɛ ne yɛɛ nɛ na debaŋ keŋ Wurubuarɛ waa bese kɔŋ kaa di balaŋ nombia na, baa nyiŋ lese ɔ yele.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Ɛ yɛɛ balaŋ baŋ ɛ silana de Gbeŋgyoo Yesu Kristo, mena dɔɔ ɛ yɔkɔse ɛ wose fa balaŋ baŋ pou bee di doŋ tɛɛle kei dɔɔ nɛ. Ɛ mo obuo fa gyoo dinaa ŋon ɔ ne di doŋ walaŋ kamasɛ dɔɔ nɛ.

14 Mena mɔ te ɛ mo obuo fa balaŋ baŋ gyoo dinaa ŋon ba lese wɔ nyi baa wɔŋ nombiakumɛɛyɛɛra deŋele, na baa kɛlɛɛ balaŋ baŋ bɛɛ yɛɛ nombia kpaakpaa nɛ.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Nawolo nyi Wurubuarɛ kegyaebii yɛna nyi yaa yɛɛ nombia kpaakpaa lee ɛ kekyaabii man. Akpaa ɛ yɛɛ mena na balaŋ baŋ bɔɔ gyeŋ kolo ya te bɛɛ wɔlɛɛ ɛ yele nɛ, be gyae baa nyiŋ nombiikum daale kolosi lee ɛ wose man ya.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ɛ kyaa ŋgba balaŋ baŋ be kyaa ba wose dɔɔ nɛ. Mɔna ɛ na yeli ɛ wose dɔɔ kekyaa kenaŋ ke fa ŋon gbɛɛ na ɛ ke yɛɛ nombiakumɛɛ ya. Ɛ kyaa ŋgba balaŋ baŋ bɛɛ som Wurubuarɛ nɛ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Ɛ mo obuo fa walaŋ kamasɛ, na ɛ ke gyae ɛ tebia Kristotena baŋ mɔ. Ɛ yela Wurubuarɛ keyee ke doo ɛ man debaŋ kamasɛ, na ɛ ka mo obuo fa ɛ gyoo dinaa ŋon.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ɛmɛɛ baŋ ɛ kyaa balaŋ gyaŋ nɛ, ɛ yɔkɔse ɛ wose fa ɛ gbeŋgyoona na ɛ ka mo obuo fa wɔ nideli. Na ɛ gbeŋgyoona baŋ be dei te ba woɛ nɛ baageŋ te ɛ ke yɔkɔse ɛ wose fa ya, mɔna kaboena nyi yaa yɔkɔse ɛ wose fa ɛ gbeŋgyoona baŋ be dana akpanyaŋnyaŋ mɔ nɛ.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Nyi akpaa walaŋ ŋon ɔ loo gyakaa nyi waa yɛɛ Wurubuarɛ kegyaebii de naa diyem keŋ nafɔ tekaboena nyi waa naa ya te ɔ tale seŋ ke man keŋkeŋ kelii ɔto na, Wurubuarɛ waa hiraa e.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Akpaa nyi ɛ man ŋolo de yɛɛ kolo kum te bee tuku e te ɔ nyiŋ konɔɔ seŋ lɛɛ ɔ ketuku kenaŋ pou na, woŋ dɔɔ te kaboena nyi baa kɛlɛɛ e? Mɔna akpaa n nombia kpaakpaa keyɛɛ dɔɔ te n ne naa diyem te n nyiŋ konɔɔ seŋ ke man keŋkeŋ kelii ɔto na, kenaŋ na Wurubuarɛ waa hiraa neŋ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Mena nombia kɛŋa dɔɔ te Wurubuarɛ baake ŋon nyi ɛ kaa bese ɔ balaŋ, nawolo nyi Kristo gbagba mɔ naa diyem ɛ dɔɔ. Ɔ yɛe mena see ŋon na ɛ ke nyiŋ kasee e na ɛ ke sila ɔ nawɔɔ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Ŋon Kristo te yɛɛ dukum daale ya,
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Debaŋ keŋ bɔɔ tee e nɛ, ɔ ta tee ŋolo tɔ kom ya. Ɔ naa diyem mɔna ɔ te falaa ŋolo ya. Ɔ moo ɔ sia bo gyakaa Wurubuarɛ ŋon ɔ ne di nombia na ke gbɛɛ nɛ dɔɔ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Ŋon Yesu Kristo gbagba lɛɛ na de nombiakumɛɛ pou seele debaŋ keŋ bɔɔ gyɔ e mataa ɔpaŋdaŋ dɔɔ nɛ. Na ke yela dee nyiŋ da wose lee de nombiakumɛɛ pou man, na dɛɛ kyaa Wurubuarɛ kegyaebii man. Kristo gyamɛɛ ŋan ɔ be nyim nɛ dɔɔ te de nyiŋa kawee kekyɔ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Gyaŋgba keŋ na nafɔ ɛ yɛɛ ŋgba namense baŋ bɔɔ yoo nɛ. Mɔna nɛnɛɛ dɔɔ ɛ ta bese kɔŋ ɛ silana ɛ Gbeŋgyoo ŋon ɔ ne kɛɛ ɛ dɔɔ ŋgba namensekɛɛlere nɛ, na kolo kum kamasɛ be yɛɛ ŋon ya.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
