¹ Jehovah reigns! Let the earth rejoice and let the multitude of islands be glad.

¹ O Senhor reina. Regozije-se a terra, alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.

² Clouds, gloom and darkness are all around Him. Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.

² Nuvens e obscuridade estão ao redor dele; justiça e juízo são a base do seu trono.

³ A fire goes before him and burns up his enemies round about.

³ Adiante dele vai um fogo que abrasa os seus inimigos em redor.

⁴ His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees and trembles.

⁴ Os seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra viu e tremeu.

⁵ The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of Jehovah of the whole earth.

⁶ The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

⁷ All those who serve graven images are put to shame. Those who boast themselves in idols and all God-like ones bow down before Him.

⁷ Confundidos sejam todos os que servem a imagens de escultura, que se gloriam de ídolos inúteis; prostrai-vos diante dele todos os deuses.

⁸ Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgments, O Jehovah.

⁸ Sião ouviu e se alegrou; e os filhos de Judá se alegraram por causa da tua justiça, ó Senhor .

⁹ For You, Jehovah, are high above all the earth. You are lifted on high far above all God-like ones.

⁹ Pois tu, Senhor , és o Altíssimo em toda a terra; muito mais elevado que todos os deuses.

¹⁰ You who love Jehovah hate evil! He preserves his anointed ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

¹⁰ Vós que amais ao Senhor , aborrecei o mal; ele guarda a alma dos seus santos, ele os livra das mãos dos ímpios.

¹¹ Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

¹¹ A luz semeia-se para o justo, e a alegria, para os retos de coração.

¹² Rejoice in Jehovah, you righteous ones; and give thanks at the memory of his holy name.

¹² Alegrai-vos, ó justos, no Senhor , e dai louvores em memória da sua santidade.
