1 The earth and all it contains the world and those who dwell in it belong to Jehovah.
1 Do Senhor é a terra e tudo o que nela existe, o mundo e os que nele vivem;
2 For He has ordained it upon the seas and decreed it upon the rivers.
2 pois foi ele quem fundou-a sobre os mares e firmou-a sobre as águas.
3 Who will go up to the mountain of Jehovah? Who may stand in His holy place?
3 Quem poderá subir o monte do Senhor? Quem poderá entrar no seu Santo Lugar?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up turned to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully.
4 Aquele que tem as mãos limpas e o coração puro, que não recorre aos ídolos nem jura por deuses falsos.
5 He will obtain blessing from Jehovah and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
5 Ele receberá bênçãos do Senhor, e Deus, o seu Salvador lhe fará justiça.
6 This is the person who seeks him, who searches for the face of the God of Jacob.
6 São assim aqueles que o buscam, que buscam a tua face, ó Deus de Jacó. Pausa
7 Lift your heads, you gates. Be lifted up, you ancient doors, so that the king of glory will come in.
7 Abram-se, ó portais; abram-se, ó portas antigas, para que o Rei da glória entre.
8 Who is this king of glory? Jehovah, strong and mighty! Jehovah, powerful in battle!
8 Quem é o Rei da glória? O Senhor forte e valente, o Senhor valente nas guerras.
9 Lift your heads, you gates. Be lifted, you ancient doors, so that the king of glory may come in.
9 Abram-se, ó portais; abram-se, ó portas antigas, para que o Rei da glória entre.
10 Who, then, is this king of glory? Jehovah of Hosts is the king of glory!
10 Quem é esse Rei da glória? O Senhor dos Exércitos; ele é o Rei da glória! Pausa
