1 Jehovah of Hosts proclaims: »The day is coming when all arrogant and evil people will burn like stubble. On that day they will burn up and there will be nothing left of them, either root or bough.
1 "Pois certamente vem o dia, ardente como uma fornalha. Todos os arrogantes e todos os malfeitores serão como palha, e aquele dia, que está chegando, ateará fogo neles", diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. "Nem raiz nem galho algum sobrará.
2 »The sun of righteousness with its healing will shine on you who respect my name and obey me. You will be free and paw the ground like fat calves.«
2 Mas para vocês que reverenciam o meu nome, o sol da justiça se levantará trazendo cura em suas asas. E vocês sairão e saltarão como bezerros soltos do curral.
3 »When I act you will tread down the wicked. They will be like dust under your feet,« Jehovah of Hosts said.
3 Depois esmagarão os ímpios, que serão como pó sob as solas dos seus pés no dia em que eu agir", diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
4 »You should remember the Law of Moses my servant. I commanded the statutes and ordinances regulations and judgments to him at Horeb for all Israel.
4 "Lembrem-se da lei do meu servo Moisés, dos decretos e das ordenanças que lhe dei em Horebe para todo o povo de Israel.
5 »Behold! I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible Day of Jehovah comes.
5 "Vejam, eu enviarei a vocês o profeta Elias antes do grande e terrível dia do Senhor.
6 »He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers and bring them together again before I come and strike the earth with destruction a curse.«
6 Ele fará com que os corações dos pais se voltem para seus filhos, e os corações dos filhos para seus pais; do contrário eu virei e castigarei a terra com maldição. "
