Ezequiel 20
New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs BKJ
1 Seven years after King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been led away as prisoners to Babylon, some of Israel's leaders came to me on the tenth day of the fifth month. They sat down and asked for a message from Jehovah.
1 E aconteceu no sétimo ano, no quinto mês, no décimo dia do mês, que alguns dos anciãos de Israel vieram para inquirir do SENHOR, e sentaram-se diante de mim.
2 Just then, Jehovah said:
2 Então, veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
3 »Son of man, these elders have come to find out what I want them to do. As surely as I live, I will not give them an answer of any kind.
3 Filho do homem, fala aos anciãos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Viestes para me inquirir? Como eu vivo, diz o Senhor DEUS, eu não serei inquirido por vós.
4 »Are you willing to warn them, Ezekiel? Then remind them of the disgusting sins of their ancestors.
4 Tu os julgarás, filho do homem, julgarás tu a eles? Faze-lhes conhecer as abominações de seus pais.
5 »Tell them what the Lord Jehovah said: When I chose Israel, I made them a promise. I revealed myself to them in Egypt and told them: I am Jehovah your God.
5 E dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: No dia quando eu escolhi a Israel, e levantei a minha mão para a semente da casa de Jacó, e me fiz conhecido àqueles na terra do Egito, quando eu levantei a minha mão para eles, dizendo: Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.
6 »It was then that I promised to take them out of Egypt and lead them to a land I had chosen for them, a rich and fertile land, the finest land of all.
6 No dia em que eu levantei a minha mão para eles, para trazê-los da terra do Egito, para uma terra que eu já tinha descoberto para eles, fluindo leite e mel, que é a glória de todas as terras.
7 »I told them to throw away the disgusting idols they loved and not to make themselves unclean with the false gods of Egypt. I am Jehovah their God.
7 Então, lhes disse: Lançai fora cada homem as abominações de seus olhos, e não vos corrompeis com os ídolos do Egito; eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.
8 »»They defied me and refused to listen. They did not throw away their disgusting idols or give up the Egyptian gods. I was ready to let them feel the full force of my anger there in Egypt.
8 Mas eles rebelaram-se contra mim, e não quiseram me ouvir; eles não lançaram, cada homem, as abominações de seus olhos, nem abandonaram os ídolos do Egito; então eu disse: Eu derramarei minha fúria sobre eles, para concluir minha ira contra eles no meio da terra do Egito.
9 »»But I did not, since that would have brought dishonor to my name. In the presence of the people among whom they were living I had announced to Israel that I was going to lead them out of Egypt.
9 Mas eu forjei por causa do meu nome, para que não fosse poluído diante dos pagãos, no meio dos quais estavam, a cuja vista eu me fiz conhecido por eles, trazendo-os para fora da terra do Egito.
10 »»So I led them out of Egypt into the desert.
10 Portanto, eu os fiz sair da terra do Egito, e os trouxe ao deserto.
11 »»I gave them my laws and made my rules known to them. If people obey them they will live.
11 E eu dei-lhes os meus estatutos, e lhes mostrei os meus juízos, os quais, se um homem cumprir, ele viverá neles.
12 »»I also gave them certain days to worship me as a sign between us so that they would know that I, Jehovah, made them holy.
12 Além disso, eu também lhes dei os meus shabats, para serem um sinal entre mim e eles; para que eles pudessem saber que eu sou o SENHOR que os santifica.
13 »»But the people of Israel rebelled against me in the desert. They did not live by my laws. They rejected my rules. If people obey them, they will live. They dishonored the days to worship me. So I was going to pour out my fury on them in the desert and completely wipe them out.
13 Mas a casa de Israel se rebelou contra mim no deserto; eles não andaram nos meus estatutos, e desprezaram os meus juízos, o que, se um homem o fizer, ele viverá neles; e os meus shabats poluíram grandemente; então, eu disse que derramaria minha fúria sobre eles no deserto, para os consumir.
14 »»I acted so that my name would not be dishonored among the nations who had watched me bring the Israelites out of Egypt.
14 Mas eu forjei por causa do meu nome, para que este não fosse poluído diante dos pagãos, a cuja vista eu os trouxe para fora.
15 »»I also swore an oath to them in the desert. I swore that I would not bring them into the land that I had promised to give them. This land is the most beautiful land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
15 Ainda assim, eu também levantei a minha mão para eles no deserto, para que eu não os trouxesse para a terra, que eu lhes tinha dado, fluindo leite e mel, que é a glória de todas as terras.
16 »»They rejected my rules. They did not live by my laws. They dishonored the days to worship me, because their hearts chased disgusting idols.
16 Porque eles desprezaram os meus juízos, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, mas poluíram os meus shabats; porque o seu coração ia após os seus ídolos.
17 »»But I had compassion on them. I did not destroy them or completely wipe them out in the desert.
17 Todavia, o meu olho lhes poupou de destruí-los, nem fiz um fim deles no deserto.
18 »»I said to their children in the desert: Do not live by the laws of your ancestors. Do not obey their rules or dishonor yourselves with their disgusting idols.
18 Mas eu disse a seus filhos no deserto: Não andeis nos estatutos de vossos pais, nem observais os seus juízos, nem vos contamineis com os seus ídolos.
19 »»I am Jehovah your God! Walk in my statutes and obey my ordinances.
19 Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus; andai nos meus estatutos, e guardai os meus juízos, e executai-os.
20 »»Sanctify my Sabbaths. They shall be a sign between you, and me that you may know that I am Jehovah your God.
20 E santificai os meus shabats, e eles serão um sinal entre mim e vós, para que possais saber que eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.
21 »»But the children rebelled against me. They did not walk in my statutes. They were not careful to obey my ordinances. If a man obeys them, he will live. They profaned my Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
21 Porém, os filhos se rebelaram contra mim, e eles não andaram nos meus estatutos, nem guardaram os meus juízos para os executar, o que, se um homem o fizer, ele viverá neles; eles poluíram os meus shabats; então, eu disse que derramaria minha fúria sobre eles, para cumprir minha ira contra eles no deserto.
22 »»But I withdrew my hand assistance and acted for the sake of my name. That way it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.
22 Todavia, eu retirei a minha mão, e forjei por causa do meu nome, para que não fosse poluído à vista dos pagãos, a cuja vista eu os trouxe adiante.
23 »I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them among the lands.
23 Eu também levantei a minha mão para eles no deserto, para que eu os espalhasse entre os pagãos, e os dispersasse pelas nações.
24 »I did this because they had rejected my commands, broken my laws, profaned the Sabbath, and worshiped the same idols their ancestors had served.
24 Porque eles não haviam executado os meus juízos, mas desprezado os meus estatutos, e poluído os meus shabats, e os seus olhos estavam atrás dos ídolos de seus pais.
25 »Then I gave them laws that are not good and commandments that do not bring life.
25 Portanto, eu dei-lhes também estatutos que não eram bons, e juízos pelos quais não haviam de viver;
26 »I let them defile themselves with their own offerings, and I let them sacrifice their first-born sons. This was to punish them and show them that I am Jehovah.«
26 e eu os poluí em seus próprios dons, nos quais eles faziam passar pelo fogo tudo o que abre o útero; para que eu pudesse fazê-los desolados, para que, no fim, eles pudessem saber que eu sou o SENHOR.
27 »Now then, son of man, tell the Israelites what I, the Lord Jehovah, am saying to them. This is another way their ancestors insulted me by their unfaithfulness.
27 Portanto, filho do homem, fala à casa de Israel, e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Ainda assim nisto vossos pais me blasfemaram, e nisso eles cometeram transgressão contra mim.
28 »I brought them to the land I had promised to give them. When they saw the high hills and green trees, they offered sacrifices at all of them. They made me angry by the sacrifices they burned and by the wine they brought as offerings.
28 Pois quando eu os trouxe para a terra, pela qual eu levantei a minha mão, para dá-la a eles, então eles viram toda alta colina, e todas as árvores espessas, e eles ofereceram ali os seus sacrifícios e lá apresentaram a provocação das suas ofertas; ali também eles fizeram seu doce sabor, e ali derramaram as suas ofertas de bebidas.
29 »Then I asked them: What is this worship site you are going to? So it is still called a worship site today.«
29 Então, eu lhes disse: O que é o alto lugar para onde vós ides? E seu nome é chamado de Bamá até este dia.
30 »Tell the nation of Israel: This is what the Lord Jehovah says: »Will you dishonor yourselves the way your ancestors did? Will you chase their detestable idols like a prostitute?
30 Portanto, dize à casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Vós estais poluídos segundo a maneira de vossos pais? E cometestes prostituição segundo suas abominações?
31 »You offer your children as sacrifices by burning them alive. You dishonor yourselves with all your disgusting idols to this day. Should you be allowed to ask me for help, nation of Israel? As I am alive, declares the Lord Jehovah, you will not be allowed to ask me for help.«
31 Pois, quando ofereceis os vossos dons, e fazeis vossos filhos passarem pelo fogo, poluís a vós mesmos com todos os vossos ídolos, até este dia; e eu serei inquirido por vós, ó casa de Israel? Como eu vivo, diz o Senhor DEUS, eu não serei inquirido por vós.
32 »What you have in mind heart will never happen. You think that you want to be like other nations, like the different people in other countries. You want to serve wood and stone.«
32 E aquilo que vem à vossa mente de modo algum sucederá, isto que dizei: Nós seremos como os pagãos, como as outras famílias das nações, para servir à madeira e à pedra.
33 »As I am alive, declares the Lord Jehovah, I will rule you with a mighty hand and a powerful arm. I will pour out my fury.
33 Como eu vivo, diz o Senhor DEUS, certamente que, com mão poderosa, e com braço estendido, e com a fúria derramada, eu governarei sobre vós.
34 »I will bring you out from the nations and gather you from the countries where I have scattered you with my mighty hand and powerful arm. I will pour out my fury.
34 E eu vos trarei para fora dos povos, e vos ajuntarei fora das terras nas quais estais espalhados, com mão poderosa, e com braço estendido, e com fúria derramada.
35 »I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations. There I will put you on trial face to face.
35 E eu vos trarei para dentro do deserto do povo; e ali, eu pleitearei convosco face a face.
36 I will now condemn you just as I condemned your ancestors in the Sinai Desert, says the Lord Jehovah.
36 Como eu pleiteei com vossos pais no deserto da terra do Egito, assim eu pleitearei convosco, diz o Senhor DEUS.
37 I will take firm control of you and make you obey my covenant.
37 E eu vos farei passar debaixo da vara, e eu vou trazê-los para o vínculo do pacto.
38 I will take away from among you those who are rebellious and sinful. I will take them out of the lands where they are living now, but I will not let them return to the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am Jehovah.
38 E eu purgarei dentre vós os rebeldes, e aqueles que transgridem contra mim; eu os trarei adiante para fora da nação onde eles permanecem temporariamente, e eles não entrarão na terra de Israel; e vós sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR.
39 »The Lord Jehovah says: The Lord Jehovah tells all you Israelites to suit yourselves! Go on and serve your idols! But I warn you that after this you will have to obey me and stop dishonoring my holy name by offering gifts to your idols.
39 Quanto a vós, ó casa de Israel, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Se a mim não me ouvirdes, de hoje em diante, ide cada um atrás de seus ídolos e sirva-os; mas não poluís mais o meu santo nome com vossos presentes e com vossos ídolos.
40 »There in the land, on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, all you people of Israel will worship me. I will be pleased with you and will expect you to bring me your sacrifices, your best offerings, and your holy gifts.
40 Porque no meu santo monte, no monte da altura de Israel, diz o Senhor DEUS, ali me servirá toda a casa de Israel, todos eles na terra; ali eu os aceitarei e requererei vossas ofertas, e as primícias das vossas oblações, com todas as vossas coisas santas.
41 After I bring you out of the countries where you have been scattered and gather you together, I will accept the sacrifices that you burn, and the nations will see that I am holy.
41 Eu vos aceitarei com vosso doce cheiro, quando eu vos trouxer para fora dos povos, e vos ajuntar fora das nações por onde estivestes espalhados; e eu serei santificado em vós diante dos pagãos.
42 »When I bring you back to Israel, the land that I promised I would give to your ancestors, you will know that I am Jehovah.
42 E vós sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR, quando eu vos trouxer para dentro da terra de Israel, na terra pela qual eu levantei a minha mão para dá-la a vossos pais.
43 »There you will remember the way you lived and everything you did to dishonor yourselves. You will be disgusted by every wrong thing that you did.
43 E ali vos lembrareis de vossos caminhos, e de todos os vossos feitos com que fostes contaminados, e detestareis a vós mesmos, à vossa própria vista por todos os males que cometestes.
44 »You will know that I am Jehovah, because I will deal with you for the sake of my name. I will not deal with you based on the evil and corrupt things that you have done, O nation of Israel, declares the Lord Jehovah!
44 E vós sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR, quando eu tiver forjado para convosco, por causa do meu nome; não de acordo com os vossos caminhos perversos, nem de acordo com as vossas ações corruptas, ó vós casa de Israel, diz o Senhor DEUS.
45 Jehovah spoke his word to me, He said:
45 Além disso, a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:
46 »Son of man, turn to the south, preach against the south, and prophesy against the forest in the Negev.
46 Filho do homem, coloca a tua face em direção ao sul, e derrama a tua palavra em direção ao sul, e profetiza contra a floresta do campo do sul.
47 »Tell the forest in the Negev: Listen to the word of Jehovah. This is what the Lord Jehovah says: »I am about to set fire to you to destroy all your green trees and all your dry trees. The blazing fire will not be put out. It will burn the whole land from the south to the north.
47 E dize à floresta do sul: Ouve a palavra do SENHOR: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que eu acenderei um fogo em ti, e ele devorará toda a árvore verde em ti, e toda a árvore seca; a chama flamejante não se apagará, e todas as faces do sul ao norte se queimarão lá.
48 »Then everyone will know that I, Jehovah, started the fire. It will never be put out.« «
48 E toda carne verá que eu, o SENHOR, o acendi; isto não se apagará.
49 Then I said: Oh no! Lord Jehovah, no! The people already say that I am only telling stories a figure of speech or a parable.
49 Então, disse eu: Ah! Senhor DEUS! Eles dizem de mim: Ele não fala parábolas?
