¹ The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.

¹ Reina o Senhor . Regozije-se a terra, alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.

² Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

² Nuvens e escuridão o rodeiam, justiça e juízo são a base do seu trono.

³ Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.

³ Adiante dele vai um fogo que lhe consome os inimigos em redor.

⁴ His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.

⁴ Os seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra os vê e estremece.

⁵ The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.

⁵ Derretem-se como cera os montes, na presença do Senhor , na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.

⁶ The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory.

⁶ Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos veem a sua glória.

⁷ All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols — worship him, all you gods!

⁷ Sejam confundidos todos os que servem a imagens de escultura, os que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrem-se diante dele todos os deuses.

⁸ Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments, LORD.

⁸ Sião ouve e se alegra, as filhas de Judá se regozijam, por causa da tua justiça, ó

⁹ For you, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.

⁹ Pois tu, Senhor , és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és sobremodo elevado acima de todos os deuses.

¹⁰ Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

¹⁰ Vós que amais o Senhor , detestai o mal; ele guarda a alma dos seus santos, livra-os da mão dos ímpios.

¹¹ Light shines "on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.

¹¹ A luz difunde-se para o justo, e a alegria, para os retos de coração.

¹² Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.

¹² Alegrai-vos no Senhor , ó justos, e dai louvores ao seu santo nome.
