Ndagano mp'ya kwa wanth'u wose (NGP) vs VC
1 Lekeni wiihi wose, naho kusekunda na lulimi na utondwe, finju hamwenga na mbuli zikuihiya.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Enga viya wana wakembe wakuungisa mele, nyuwe nanywe muungise mele yedi ye kimuye vileke mkule na kuyokolwa kwa ludole lwakwe.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Kwaviya iwandikwa kugamba, “Uneva mluma kugamba Zumbe ni ywedi.”
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Iteni kwakwe, yehe niye iwe dina ugima dilemelwe ni want'hu, mna kwa Mnungu disagulwe naho tana ditendese.

5 Iteni kwakwe enga maiwe yano ugima, mkazengeke nokunda nyumba ye kimuye mdamanye ndima ya ulava nt'hambiko ukukile, mkalava nt'hambiko ya kimuye yakumwelela Mnungu kwa sila ya Yesu Kilisito.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kwaviya Mawandiko yakukile yagamba,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Kwenyu nyuwe mkuhuwila, iwe idyo ni tana vitendese, mna kwa wadya hewekuhuwila, enga ivo Mawandiko Yakukile yakulonga
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Iviya iviya yagamba,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Mna nyuwe ni lukolo lusagulwe, mnda ni ulava nt'hambiko wa kiseuta na fyo dya want'hu wa Mnungu mwenye, vileke mbilikize udamanyi mkulu wa Mnungu awetangeni kulawa kwo lwiza, niyo awegalani kwo ung'azi wakwe wakwehela.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Uko kale nyuwe mwandaga hiyo want'hu wa Mnungu, mna haluse mwi want'hu wakwe, aho nk'hongo hamwenk'hagwa mbazi za Mnungu, mna haluse mhokela mbazi zakwe.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Wambwiya zangu, nalonga na nyuwe enga wageni naho watafi aha he isi, lekeni kumunk'wamunk'wa ne zimbuli ziihile ze kiunt'hu zikuhigana na miuye yenyu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Mnde na lugendo lwedi mgati mwa want'hu hewemmanyize Mnungu, vileke wakawazigani kugamba mwadamanya mbuli ziihile, mna wakakaula udamanyi wenyu wedi wamtunye Mnungu mwe dizuwa akeza kuwasengela want'hu.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Elo, zumileni kulongozwa ni wata udahi kwa mbuli ya Zumbe akanda ni seuta mkulu mta udahi mkulu,

14 hegu wakanda ni wakulu wakutumwa na yehe kuwalihiza wose wakudamanya yaihile no kuwatunya wadya wakudamanya ayedi.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kwaviya Mnungu aunga mdamanye udamanyi wedi vileke mfupe milomo ya want'hu wahezi hewemanyize kiya wakulonga.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ikaleni enga want'hu walekelwa, mna msekuuguha ulekelwa uwo enga kint'hu cha kuziga wiihi, mna mwikale enga wandima wa Mnungu.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Weveni want'hu wose, naho waungeni wandugu zenyu wose wahuwila, iviya iviya mwogoheni Mnungu na kumwiva seuta.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Nyuwe wandima wa mwe nyumba, weveni wakulu wenyu wose, hiyo wadya awedi na wajalamu du, mna ni hamwenga na wadya wata lung'wangu.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Kwaviya Mnungu elelwa na mnt'hu akufinyiliza makunt'ho hewagilwe, akamanya kugamba mazuwa yose amfanyanya Mnungu.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Elo nompatei mnafinyiliza kutoigwa kwa kudamanya wavu? Mna uneva mwafinyiliza masulumizo hamwenga na kugamba mwadamanya ayedi, Mnungu neelelwe na nyuwe.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ayo nayo mwitangilwe, kwaviya Kilisito mwenye nakasulumila kwa ajili yenyu, niyo awalekela mliganyizo vileke mdamanye enga viya yehe adamanye.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Yehe hadamanye wavu, naho hana zuwa alongile lulimi lwolwose.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Aho eze ahomolwe, yehe hahitule, aho asulumizagwa yehe hawatisile want'hu. Mna nakakeika mwe mikono ya yudya akusengela mwe kindedi.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Yehe mwenye nakaguha wavu wetu mwo umwili wakwe halanga he msalaba, vileke kileke kudamanya wavu no kwikala kwa kudamanya ayedi hameso ha Mnungu, kwa kulumizwa kwakwe nyuwe mhona.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Nyuwe nomnda enga ngoto zagile, mna ivi haluse muuya kwo mdimi no mkimalizi ywo ugima wenyu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
