1 Lee wuu na, yi kakuuyo yi bɛɛri yaha, yi naŋmahara ti bɛɛri yaha, yi shuun shuun juuro ti bɛɛri yaha, ni ɲɛpɛɛnguunɔ, ni mɛkyɛɛgɛŋɛ keree ki bɛɛri.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Ba pubinŋɛɛ wa jire la pyi wɛ, yi bɛ pʼa Kilɛ wo Kafila wu la pyi mu, kɔnhɔ yʼi sii fanha ta lee funŋɔ ni, yʼi ɲuwuuro ta.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Bani yʼa li cɛ na «Kafɔɔ ya ɲɔ.»
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Faakagereŋɛ kemu ki ɲɛ ɲìi na ge, kee ki ɲɛ Kafɔɔ Yesu. Sipyii ya she wu ni, ga Kilɛ ya wu ɲaha bulo, wu kaa dʼa waha bɛ wu mu. Yi gbara wu na,

5 yi bɛ di bye ba faakageeye ɲìi woyo ɲɛ wɛ, yʼi daga Fɛfɛɛrɛ Munaa puga yereŋɛ. Yi na ba bye saraya ɲaha shɔɔnrivɔɔ fɛfɛɛrɛ wuu, na saraya fɛfɛɛrɛ woyo wo na gaan Kilɛ mu, yemu kaa na ba daan wu ni, wu Ja Yesu Kirisa baraga ni ge.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Bani lʼa ka Kilɛ Kafila wu ni na:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Yee pii pʼa dà kee faaga ke na ge, ki kaɲɔɔ lʼa pɛlɛ yee mu fo xuuni. Ga piimu ya dà ki na wɛ:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 «Faakagereŋɛ ki ɲɛ kii,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ga yee ya pye shi, wemu ɲaha kʼa bulo ge; na bye Saan wu wo saraya ɲaha shɔɔnrivɛɛ, na bye fɛfɛɛrɛ shi. Kilɛ ya kagbɔhɔɔ nizaaŋaa kiimu pye ge, wʼa yee ɲaha bulo kɔnhɔ yi da kee yu. Wʼa yi yiri na foro nibiige ni, na ba ni yi ni wu fundanga kagbɔɔ li kpɛɛngɛ ki na.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Taashiinɛ ni, yee bi sanha bye Kilɛ wo sipyii wɛ, ga nimɛ, yee ya pye wu sipyii. Taashiinɛ ni, Kilɛ bi ɲuŋɔ ɲaari yee na wɛ, ga nimɛ, wʼa ɲuŋɔ ɲaari yi na.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Na taanɲiinɛɛ, nabɔrɔ na yee wa ke ɲiŋɛ ke na, yi nidorowuu pu wa. Lee wuu na nʼa li shaa yi mu, lakuuŋɔ ke kʼa yogo kɔɔn yi na ge, yi ganha bu daha kee fɛni wɛ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Piimu ɲɛ Kiricɛɛn wɛ ge, yʼa doroo torogazaana na pee niŋɛ ni. Wee tuun wu ni, pu ɲɛhɛ ba yi mɛkuuŋɔ yu na kakuubyii yi ɲɛ, pu na ba yi kapyegee nizaaŋaa ɲa, lee funŋɔ ni Kilɛ ga ba foro pu na caŋa kemu, pu na wu sɔ kee caŋa.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Yʼa gbɔɔrɔ tɛri fanha na Kafɔɔ wuu na. Yʼa gbɔɔrɔ tɛri saan wu na! Bani wu ɲɛ sipyii pu bɛɛri ɲuŋɔfɔɔ.

14 Yi da gbɔɔrɔ tɛri wu gbafɛnɛɛrɛɛ pu bɛ na! Bani saan wu wʼa pu tunni na pʼa kakuubyii pu ɲaha wɛrɛŋɛ, piimu pʼa kasaaŋaa pyi ge, pu da pee sɔni.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Lemu li ɲɛ Kilɛ ɲidaan ge, lee li wa mɛ. Yi nahanahanaa ni fungɔnyɔ baa fɛɛ ɲɔyɔ tɔ ni yi kapyegee nizaaŋaa ni!
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Yi pye yiyɛ mu ba sipyii ɲɛ wɛ, piimu ya faha ge. Ga pee tifahama pe ganha da bye yi mu fatɔŋɔ di yi kapyegee niguuŋɔɔ ɲɔ tɔ wɛ. Yʼa yaa na doroo ba Kilɛ wo buloo ɲɛ wɛ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Yʼa gbɔɔrɔ tɛri sipyii pu bɛɛri na, ceborogo ki kaa di da dan yi ni, yʼa fyagi Kilɛ na, yi da gbɔɔrɔ tɛri saan wu na!
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Kapyebyii, yi kuu yi ɲuŋɔfɛɛ mu ni gbɔɔrɔ ni. Ɲuŋɔfɛɛ piimu wo zɔlɔɔ pʼa ɲɔ, ni piimu ɲuŋɔ ya peŋi, ni piimu wo keree kʼa waha ge, yʼa gbɔɔrɔ tɛri pu bɛɛri na.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Bani yi na ba kanhama xu yiyɛ ni kanhama pemu ya yaa ni yi ni wɛ, na li kaɲuŋɔ pye yi funŋɔ ɲɛ yi Kilɛ ɲɔmɛɛ co; kasaana li ɲɛ lere.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ayiwa, pu ba yee kpɔɔn yi kapyeguuŋɔɔ wuu na, a yʼi lee xu yiyɛ ni, kuduun wekɛ yʼi da da lee ni wɛ? Ga kanhama ba nɔni yi na yʼi kasaaŋaa pyi, a yʼi pee xu yiyɛ ni, kasaana li ɲɛ lere Kilɛ ɲaha tàan.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Lee wuu na Kilɛ ya yi yiri, bani Kirisa bɛ ya kanhama ɲa yee wuu na, koo wʼa le yi tàan, kɔnhɔ yi da se wu fɛlɛ ni.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 «Wu ya jurumu wa shishiin pye wɛ,
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Pu bi wu shɛhɛlɛ tuun wemu ni ge, wu ya ta shɛhɛɛ tɛrɛŋɛ wa na wɛ. Pu bi wu kana tuun wemu ni ge, wu ya ta wa fuguri wɛ. Ga wʼa wu keree bɛɛri yaha Kilɛ kacɛ na, wee wemu wʼa kiiri kɔɔn ni tiimɛ ni ge.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Wuyɛ pyaa kʼa wèe wo jurumu wu lɔ wu ceepuuro ti ni korikoritige ki na, kɔnhɔ wù bye xuu jurumu kabaŋa na, wù bye ɲiifɛɛrɛ ni, tiimɛ kaa na. «Wu kpɔɔnrɔ nɔɔyɔ funŋɔ ni yee ya sicuumɔ ta.»
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Bani yee bi bye ba dubyapiinyɛ ɲɛ wɛ, ga nimɛ yee ya kuri pa yi munahaa ki nahavɔɔ, ni ki maravɔɔ wu mu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
