¹ ထိုနည်းတူစွာဇနီးတို့၊ သင်တို့ခင်ပွန်းများ ၏အုပ်စိုးခြင်းကိုဝန်ခံကြလော့။ ဤနည်းအား ဖြင့်သင်တို့တွင်ဘုရားသခင်၏နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် ကိုမယုံကြည်သူခင်ပွန်းများရှိပါမူ သင်တို့ ၏အကျင့်အကြံအပြုအမူကသူတို့အား ယုံကြည်လာစေလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့နှုတ်ဖြင့်ပြော ရန်ပင်မလိုပေ။-

² အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်သင်တို့အဘယ်မျှ စိတ်ထားဖြူစင်သည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ ဘုရား တရားရိုသေကိုင်းရှိုင်းသည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း သူတို့တွေ့မြင်မည်ဖြစ်သောကြောင့်တည်း။-

² having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

³ သင်တို့၏ရုပ်ရည်လှပမှုသည်အပြင်အပ လက္ခဏာများဖြစ်သောဖီးလိမ်းဝတ်စားမှု၊ ကျောက်မျက်ရတနာဆင်ယင်မှုတို့အပေါ် တွင်မတည်စေဘဲ၊-

³ whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;

⁴ မိမိတို့အတွင်းစိတ်နှလုံးနှင့်ဆိုင်သော နူးညံ့သိမ်မွေ့သည့်သဘောတည်းဟူသော ထာဝစဉ်လှပမှုပေါ်တွင်တည်စေကြလော့။ ယင်းလှပမှုသည်ဘုရားသခင်ရှေ့တော် မှောက်၌၊ အလွန်အဖိုးထိုက်ပေသည်။-

⁴ but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.

⁵ ရှေးအခါကဘုရားတရားကြည်ညို၍ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုမျှော်လင့်ကိုးစားသော အမျိုးသမီးတို့သည် မိမိတို့ခင်ပွန်းများ ၏စကားကိုနားထောင်ခြင်းအားဖြင့်လှပ အောင်တန်ဆာဆင်ကြ၏။-

⁵ For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

⁶ ဥပမာပြောရသော်စာရာသည်အာဗြဟံ ၏စကားကိုနားထောင်၏။ အာဗြဟံကိုသခင် ဟုခေါ်၏။ သင်တို့သည်မည်သည်ကိုမျှကြောက်ရွံ့ ခြင်းမရှိဘဲ ကောင်းမြတ်သည့်အကျင့်ကိုပြု ကျင့်ပါလျှင်စာရာ၏သမီးများဖြစ်ကြ၏။

⁶ as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.

⁷ ထိုနည်းတူစွာခင်ပွန်းတို့၊ သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့ ဇနီးများအားနွဲ့သူများဖြစ်သည်ကိုထောက်၍ သူတို့နှင့်ပေါင်းသင်းနေထိုင်ရကြမည်။ သူတို့ သည်သက်ဆိုင်ရာဆုကျေးဇူးကိုသင်တို့နှင့် အတူခံစားရကြမည့်သူများဖြစ်သဖြင့် သင်တို့သည်သူတို့ကိုလေးစားစွာဆက်ဆံ ရကြမည်။ သို့မှသာသင်တို့၏ပတ္ထနာများ ကိုအဆီးအတားရှိမည်မဟုတ်။

⁷ {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

⁸ နောက်ဆုံးဖော်ပြလိုသည်မှာ သင်တို့သည် တစ်စိတ်တစ်ဝမ်းတည်းရှိကြလော့။ စာနာ ထောက်ထား၍တစ်ယောက်ကိုတစ်ယောက် ညီ ရင်းအစ်ကိုကဲ့သို့ချစ်ကြလော့။ ကြင်နာ သနားတတ်သောသဘော၊ နှိမ့်ချတတ်သော သဘောရှိကြလော့။-

⁸ — ausente —

⁹ အဆိုးကိုအဆိုးအားဖြင့်လည်းကောင်း၊ ကျိန် ဆဲခြင်းကိုကျိန်ဆဲခြင်းအားဖြင့်လည်းကောင်း တုံ့ပြန်ခြင်းမပြုကြနှင့်။ ယင်းသို့ပြုမည့် အစားကောင်းချီးပေးကြလော့။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဆိုသော် ဘုရားသခင်ကတိထားတော်မူသည့် ကောင်းချီးမင်္ဂလာကိုခံစားစေရန် သင်တို့ အားကိုယ်တော်ခေါ်ယူရွေးကောက်တော်မူခဲ့ သောကြောင့်တည်း။-

⁹ not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.

¹⁰ အောက်ပါကျမ်းစာတော်အရဖော်ပြသည် နှင့်အညီဖြစ်သည်။

¹⁰ For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.

¹¹ သူသည်ဒုစရိုက်ကိုရှောင်ရှားလျက် သုစရိုက်ကိုပြုရမည်။

¹¹ And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;

¹² အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်ထာဝရဘုရားသည်

¹² because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.

¹³ သို့ဖြစ်၍သုစရိုက်တရားကိုသင်တို့ခုံမင် စွဲလမ်းကြပါမူအဘယ်သူသည်သင်တို့အား ဘေးသင့်စေနိုင်မည်နည်း။-

¹³ And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?

¹⁴ သို့ရာတွင်အကယ်၍သင်တို့သည်အမှန်တရား ကိုကျင့်သုံးမှုကြောင့်ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲခံရသော်မင်္ဂ လာရှိကြ၏။ မည်သူအားမျှမကြောက်ကြနှင့်။ မစိုးရိမ်ကြနှင့်။-

¹⁴ E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!

¹⁵ သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့စိတ်နှလုံးတွင်ခရစ်တော် ကိုရိုသေကိုင်းရှိုင်း၍အရှင်သခင်အဖြစ်ဖြင့် ခံယူကြလော့။ သင်တို့ခံယူရရှိသည့်မျှော် လင့်ချက်အကြောင်းကိုစစ်ဆေးမေးမြန်းလာ သူအားအချိန်မရွေးရှင်းလင်းဖော်ပြရန် အသင့်ရှိကြလော့။-

¹⁵ Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

¹⁶ သို့ရာတွင်သိမ်မွေ့ရိုသေစွာဖြေကြားကြလော့။ သင်တို့အားမတရားဝေဖန်၍စော်ကားပြောဆို သူတို့သည် ခရစ်တော်၏တပည့်များအနေဖြင့် သင်တို့ပြုမူပုံကောင်းမွန်သင့်မြတ်သည်ကိုမြင် ၍အရှက်ရကြစေရန် သင်တို့၏သြတ္တပ္ပစိတ် ကိုကြည်လင်စေကြလော့။-

¹⁶ Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.

¹⁷ သုစရိုက်ကိုပြုသဖြင့်ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခရောက်ခြင်း သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏အလိုတော်အရဖြစ်လျှင် ယင်းသည်ဒုစရိုက်ကိုပြုခြင်းထက်ပို၍ ကောင်း၏။-

¹⁷ Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.

¹⁸ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်ခရစ်တော်ကိုယ်တိုင် ပင်လျှင် ငါတို့၏အပြစ်များအတွက်အပြီး အပိုင်အသေခံတော်မူခဲ့သောကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်သူတော်စင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၍မသူ တော်တို့အတွက်အသေခံတော်မူလေပြီ။ ယင်း သို့ပြုတော်မူခြင်းမှာသင်တို့အားဘုရား သခင်ထံတော်သို့ပို့ဆောင်ပေးရန်ပင်ဖြစ်၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာအားဖြင့်အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရသော်လည်းဝိညာဉ်အား ဖြင့်အသက်ပြန်၍ရှင်တော်မူ၏။-

¹⁸ Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

¹⁹ ဝိညာဉ်အားဖြင့်ကိုယ်တော်သည်အကျဉ်းကျ လျက်နေသောဝိညာဉ်များထံသို့သွားရောက် ၍တရားဟောတော်မူ၏။-

¹⁹ É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,

²⁰ ထိုဝိညာဉ်တို့ကားသင်္ဘောကိုနောဧတည်ဆောက် လျက်နေစဉ်တွင် သည်းခံစောင့်ဆိုင်းလျက်နေတော် မူသောဘုရားသခင်၏စကားကိုနားမထောင် ခဲ့သူတို့၏ဝိညာဉ်များပင်ဖြစ်သတည်း။ သို့ ရာတွင်ရေအားဖြင့်ကယ်ဆယ်ခြင်းခံရသူ များမှာသင်္ဘောပေါ်တွင်အနည်းငယ်သာရှိ ၍အရေအတွက်အားဖြင့်ရှစ်ယောက်မျှသာ ဖြစ်၏။-

²⁰ quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.

²¹ ဤတွင်ရေဟုဆိုရာ၌သင်တို့ကိုယခုကယ် တင်သောဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာကိုပုံဆောင်ပေသည်။ ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာခံယူခြင်းသည်ကိုယ်ကာယ အညစ်အကြေးများကိုသန့်စင်ဆေးကြော ခြင်းမဟုတ်။ သြတ္တပ္ပစိတ်ကြည်လင်စွာဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင်၏ရှေ့တော်၌ကတိသစ္စာပြု ခြင်းဖြစ်ပေသည်။ သေခြင်းမှသခင်ယေရှု ခရစ်ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်တော်မူခြင်းကို အကြောင်းပြု၍ သင်တို့သည်ဗတ္တိဇံအား ဖြင့်ကယ်တင်ခြင်းကိုခံရကြ၏။-

²¹ Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

²² ထိုသခင်သည်ကောင်းကင်ဘုံသို့ဝင်တော်မူ ၍ ယခုအခါဘုရားသခင်လက်ယာတော် ဘက်တွင်ရှိတော်မူပြီးလျှင်ကောင်းကင်တမန် များ၊ ကောင်းကင်အာဏာပိုင်များနှင့်တန်ခိုး ရှင်များကိုအုပ်စိုး၍နေတော်မူ၏။

²² Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
