1 Je̱ꞌe̱ ka̱jx tseꞌe, maso̱kka̱jxtini nu̱jom juuꞌ jatyeꞌe ka ó̱yap, kaꞌa tseꞌe pa̱n xꞌukvinꞌa̱a̱ꞌndinit, kaꞌa tseꞌe mꞌuktaayidinit, kaꞌa tseꞌe mꞌukꞌijttinit me̱jtsꞌaaj me̱jtsjo̱o̱t, kaꞌa tseꞌe mꞌukꞌe̱jkjidinit ku veꞌe juuꞌ mkaꞌo̱ꞌyixjada ax joꞌn je̱ viijnk jáyuda, kaꞌa tseꞌe pa̱n xꞌukpako̱jtstinit, kaꞌa tseꞌe pa̱n xꞌukvinko̱jtspe̱jttinit.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Veꞌem ax joꞌn je̱ piꞌk maax ónu̱k o̱o̱y du̱tuntsa̱k je̱ tsiꞌtsk na̱a̱j, veꞌem tseꞌe du̱tsa̱k je̱tseꞌe xtso̱jktuvat juuꞌ veꞌe ta̱m myakꞌijtjidinup je̱ Nteꞌyam ma̱a̱t.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Tonda tseꞌe veꞌem, ku̱x ta̱ xa veꞌe xnu̱jávada vintso̱ veꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam je̱ maaꞌyu̱n je̱ jayu du̱tuujnja.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mutá̱madats je̱ Ma̱ja̱ Vintsá̱n, juuꞌ veꞌe joojntykip je̱tseꞌe je̱ joojntykin du̱yaky. Je̱ Espíritu Santo tseꞌe mvinmaꞌyu̱nmo̱o̱jyju̱dup je̱tseꞌe veꞌem xtonda.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Veꞌem xa ya̱ꞌa̱ veꞌe ax joꞌn je̱ Kunuuꞌkx Jatyán vyaꞌañ:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Mjaanchjaꞌvidup xa miitseꞌe je̱ Ma̱ja̱ Vintsá̱n je̱tseꞌe xnu̱jaꞌvidini je̱ts o̱o̱y je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe tyunꞌo̱ya. Ax je̱ꞌe̱ juuꞌ veꞌe kajaanchjaꞌvijidup, veꞌemts je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe du̱ko̱ꞌo̱yjávada je̱ Ma̱ja̱ Vintsá̱n ax joꞌn je̱ Kunuuꞌkx Jatyán vyaꞌañ:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Vaampap tseꞌe jidu̱ꞌu̱m:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ax miitsta, teeꞌta̱jk tseꞌe mꞌitta, mmutoondup mmupa̱jktupeꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam, je̱ꞌe̱ je̱ jyáyuts miitseꞌeda, je̱ꞌe̱ tseꞌe mvinko̱o̱jnju̱du je̱ts je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe xyakmá̱jidinit xyakjaanchidinit. Je̱ꞌe̱ tseꞌe myaaxu̱xju̱du je̱tseꞌe mpítsumdinit je̱ja ako̱o̱ꞌts it ja̱a̱t je̱tseꞌe mꞌijttinit je̱ꞌe̱ ma̱a̱t je̱ja ajajtk it ja̱a̱t joma veꞌe yꞌit je̱ ma̱jin ma̱a̱t.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Kaꞌa miitseꞌe mꞌijtti je̱ Nteꞌyam je̱ jyayu; ax u̱xyam, je̱ Nteꞌyam je̱ jyáyuvandats miitseꞌeda. Kaꞌa tseꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam mtukmo̱ꞌtjidi; ax u̱xyam, mtukmo̱ꞌtju̱dupts miits je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Miitsta, juuꞌ a̱tseꞌe o̱o̱y ntuntso̱jktup, mꞌijttup xa veꞌe yaja naxviijn ax joꞌn je̱ jékumit jayu je̱ts je̱ jayu juuꞌ veꞌe je̱ it du̱kajaye̱jptup joma veꞌe cha̱a̱nadat. Nmunooꞌkxtktupts a̱ts miitseꞌe je̱tseꞌe xkayaktóndat je̱ mꞌavintso̱ vinmaꞌyu̱nda. Ku̱x ku xa veꞌe xyaktonda je̱ mꞌavintso̱ vinmaꞌyu̱nda, je̱ꞌe̱ tseꞌe mtoondup je̱tseꞌe mkaꞌíttat je̱ Nteꞌyam ma̱a̱t.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Je̱ jayu juuꞌ veꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam du̱kaꞌíxada, ó̱yameꞌe vyaꞌanda je̱ts ka ó̱yap je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe juuꞌ veꞌe mtoondup, joojntykada ax joꞌn je̱ Nteꞌyam du̱tsa̱k, veꞌemts je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe du̱ꞌíxtat je̱ yꞌo̱y je̱ꞌe̱ juuꞌ veꞌe mtoondup je̱tseꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam du̱yakmá̱jadat du̱yakjaanchadat je̱ xa̱a̱j ku veꞌe je̱ jayu yakto̱kimpayo̱ꞌydinit.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Je̱ Ma̱ja̱ Vintsá̱n ka̱jx tseꞌe mnapyá̱mjadat je̱p nu̱jom kutojku̱n paꞌtkup juuꞌ veꞌe je̱ jayu jyaye̱jptup, pa̱n je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe jye̱ꞌe̱ pa̱neꞌe je̱ ma̱ja̱ kutojku̱n du̱ka̱ꞌmip

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Veꞌem tseꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam du̱tsa̱k je̱tseꞌe je̱ yꞌo̱y je̱ꞌe̱ juuꞌ veꞌe mtoondup, je̱ꞌe̱ tseꞌe mtukyakꞌamo̱ꞌo̱ttap je̱ jayu juuꞌ veꞌe du̱kapayo̱ꞌydup vintso̱ veꞌe juuꞌ du̱ko̱tsta.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Je̱ Nteꞌyam tseꞌe myaktaajnju̱du je̱tseꞌe mko̱o̱ꞌkꞌijttinit je̱p to̱kin ja̱a̱tp. Ni pa̱na tseꞌe kyato̱kintónu̱t je̱tseꞌe vyaꞌanu̱t je̱ts yakjajtypeꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam je̱tseꞌe veꞌem du̱tónu̱t; je̱ Nteꞌyam je̱ myutoompa je̱ myupa̱jkpa xa miitseꞌeda, joojntykada veꞌem.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Vintsa̱ꞌa̱gada je̱ jayu anañu̱joma. Tso̱kta je̱ jaanchjaꞌvivata̱jk. Vintsa̱ꞌa̱gada je̱ Nteꞌyam je̱ts je̱ yakkutojkpa juuꞌ veꞌe je̱ ma̱ja̱ kutojku̱n du̱ka̱ꞌmip.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Mutoompa jáyuda, napyá̱mjada je̱p je̱ mvintsá̱n kya̱ꞌp pyaꞌtkupta je̱tseꞌe xvintsa̱ꞌa̱gadat. Ka je̱ꞌe̱jyap tseꞌe veꞌem mtoojnjadap pa̱n pa̱n jatyeꞌe o̱y jayu napya̱a̱jmju̱dup miits ma̱a̱t je̱tseꞌe je̱ tukmo̱ꞌtu̱n du̱jaye̱pta, nay veꞌempa veꞌe je̱ꞌe̱da pa̱n pa̱n jatyeꞌe mkatukmo̱ꞌtju̱dup.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Pa̱n je̱ jayu xa veꞌe du̱muténip je̱ tsaachpaatu̱n ku veꞌe je̱ yꞌo̱y je̱ꞌe̱ du̱tún ku̱xeꞌe ñayjávaja je̱ja je̱ Nteꞌyam vyinkujk, yꞌo̱yjaꞌvipts je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ku̱x ¿ti o̱y je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe mtoondup pa̱n mmuténidupeꞌe je̱ tsaachpaatu̱n ku veꞌe myaktukkuve̱tta juuꞌ veꞌe ka ó̱yap mtoondup? Ax pa̱n mmuténidup tseꞌe je̱ tsaachpaatu̱n ku̱xeꞌe xtonda je̱ yꞌo̱y je̱ꞌe̱, yꞌo̱yjaꞌvipts je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Je̱ Nteꞌyam tseꞌe myaaxu̱xju̱du je̱tseꞌe mjoojntykadat ax joꞌn a̱tseꞌe tu̱nvaꞌañ. Viinm xa veꞌe je̱ Cristo xkutsaachpaadimdi je̱tseꞌe xyaktaajnjimdi je̱ nu̱ꞌixvaatsu̱n, veꞌem tseꞌe ntoꞌnumdat ax joꞌn je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe du̱tuujn.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Kaꞌats je̱ꞌe̱ veꞌe tyo̱kintuujn, kaꞌa tseꞌe tyaayi;
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 ku tseꞌe je̱ jayu vyinko̱jtspe̱jtji, kaꞌa tseꞌe du̱muko̱jtsu̱mpijt nay veꞌempa; ku veꞌe chaachpaaty, kaꞌa tseꞌe je̱ jayu du̱yakꞌanooꞌkxi; je̱m tseꞌe je̱ Nteꞌyam yꞌam kya̱ꞌm ñapya̱a̱jmji, je̱ꞌe̱ pa̱neꞌe du̱to̱kimpayo̱ꞌyp ax joꞌn du̱paaꞌty du̱ꞌake̱e̱ga.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Viinm tseꞌe je̱ Cristo du̱kuvejt je̱ ntó̱kinamda je̱m cruz ka̱jxm, veꞌem tseꞌe nꞌijtumdinit ax joꞌn a̱a̱ꞌk ku̱nꞌijtumdi je̱ja je̱ to̱kin vyinkujk je̱tseꞌe njoojntykimdinit ax joꞌn du̱paaꞌty du̱ꞌake̱e̱ga. Je̱ꞌe̱ tseꞌe xkuꞌo̱o̱ꞌkimdu je̱tseꞌe o̱y nꞌijtumdinit je̱ Nteꞌyam ma̱a̱t.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Mꞌijttu xa veꞌe ax joꞌn je̱ carnero juuꞌ veꞌe yo̱ꞌtyó̱kidu, ax mvimpijttinuva tseꞌe je̱tseꞌe je̱ Cristo xpayo̱ꞌo̱yda, je̱ꞌe̱ tseꞌe mvinténijidup je̱tseꞌe mꞌíxjada mjayé̱pjada.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
