2 He apäkiuenä, suqä quvqä kiyä mätqä du mäwqä ipu, suqä jänänäŋä dunä ipu, Goti Iqueä yäpä iqinyä itqätaŋgä eqämbiyä-qae, quuvqä heqäpŋqe.
2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.

5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Kukŋuä eeqänäŋä ii ätqa äpätŋqe, qäpuŋi tiiŋä ätätmä himqe. He qäyqä-qäquenä, äwqä naqä-hŋqunä änyäpu äpmapu, hita-hiŋguäkatä miŋqä-pa, i äminyäpu äpmapu, Goti Iqueqä ämaqä duŋqe qeqä hetqaŋguti, hŋgisa ipu yäŋi-yäŋi miquenä, qae haŋuä pmepŋqe.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.

10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Iqu suqä quvqä duŋi, hiŋuinä äqunätä, qänaknäŋi suqä jänänäŋä du iquätŋqe. Suqä haŋä-iqä maeqä, äŋguänäŋä pmeqä duŋqä itä, ga iqu suqä iu ändämiqa uwquätŋqe.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;

12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 He hiqä eŋqä du, he suqä jänänäŋä dinä imäkpŋqä enyäŋqe, ga heŋi suqä quvqä etquetä, quiŋi, tqu emäkätŋqe? Aaŋqe.
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Iŋäqe he suqä jänänäŋä dunä imäkäpiyiŋqä tmi-tmiqä-tqä ämeqäpi, he, “Neŋi, Goti Hanjuwä Iqu äŋguä inemäkätqänä” kŋuä heyätŋqe.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Mä he hiqä qeqä-quuvqä imŋi, Kraisi Ique itmepu, Naqe, Iquenyä imäkpŋqe. Nätmatqä kŋuä yäŋänäqŋqä ämapu äpmeŋuwiŋqä yatŋqä heyqaŋgpqäŋga, tupŋqä diŋqe, näwinyä imäkmbu pmetpŋqe.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 He kimaŋi, qae haŋuä ätuäpu, hŋgisa mitqueqä ipŋqe. He ämaqä jänänäŋä pmepŋqe, hiqä yäpä imŋi, haŋä-iqä hui maeqä, äŋguänäŋä hetŋqä. Iŋi ämaqe, he Kraisi Ique qänaknä äväpu, suqä jänänäŋä imäkqaŋguwiŋqä, kukŋuä quvqä etapqä-qua, iiŋqä womba winyätŋqänänji.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Iŋäqe Goti Iqu neqä suqä duŋqä tmi-tmiqä-tqe, qäyä metuŋquä wiŋgaŋgutqe, tmi-tmiqä iiŋi, suqä äŋguä duŋqä meqe, quvqä iuŋi ämäwqätäunä.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Kraisi Iqu, Ämaqä Jänänäŋä-qu eäqä-qe, Iqu ämaqä jänänäŋä maeqä quvqä iuqä aŋi ämetä, ga suqä quvqe huätä ämamäutä, i äpäkoŋgqe. Iqu iiŋi, hui mapäkoŋqä yäniqe, Kiqä Iqunäŋi i qe äpäkoŋgqäqe. Iqueŋi pizqe, Iqueä huiwi äpäsquwä-qe, Iqu dŋä-qu aŋgumä häŋä eätä, heŋi, Goti Hanjuwä Iquenyqä etma wätŋqä eqäqe.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

Yimba yäŋgisaŋi, ämaqe atäŋqäpu, 8 iqua äpekuwi. Iwä, Goti Iqu quŋi häŋi, eqeta iqumuatkqe.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.

21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
