9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.

10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.

11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;

13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?

14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Luki limoti, mubibisoni Kilisito ka mambɛngɨ kunu, ɨyɨ abɛ Mombukwono-dosu. Wikogoni ɓongbinga ɓasɨ ɓakɨtʉlya kausikisyo nɨɓɔ ɓiko kamumuuso isi ya mʉtamanagɨ nɨmɔ ma na imu.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Kika kanɨ Kunzi oponi ɓɛ wigyogyiso kanɨ wakagya ɓʉnza, a ɓɨnza, kanɨ kɛgʉ ko pisi yɨgya ɓʉnyɛ.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
