1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: from the deceitful and unjust man do thou deliver me.
1 Ó Deus, declara que eu estou inocente e defende a minha causa contra essa gente que não te adora! Livra-me das pessoas traiçoeiras e perversas.
2 For thou art the God of my fortress: why hast thou abandoned me? why must I walk about grieved, under the oppression of the enemy?
2 Tu, ó Deus, és o meu protetor; por que me abandonaste? Por que tenho de viver sofrendo, perseguido pelos meus inimigos?
3 Send thou thy light and thy truth, these shall guide me; they shall bring me unto thy holy mountain, and to thy dwellings:
3 Manda a tua luz e a tua verdade para que elas me ensinem o caminho e me levem de volta a o teu monte santo, e ao teu Templo, onde vives.
4 That I may go unto the altar of God, unto God the joy of my gladness; and that I may thank thee upon the harp, O God, my God.
4 Então eu irei até o teu altar, ó Deus, pois tu és a fonte da minha felicidade. Tocarei a minha e cantarei louvores a ti, ó Deus, meu Deus!
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet thank him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
5 Por que estou tão triste? Por que estou tão aflito? Eu porei a minha esperança em Deus e ainda o louvarei. Ele é o meu Salvador e o meu Deus.
