¹ Hallelujah. Happy is the man that feareth the Lord, that greatly delighteth in his commandments.

¹ Aleluia. Feliz o homem que teme o Senhor, e põe o seu prazer em observar os seus mandamentos.

² His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

² Será poderosa sua descendência na terra, e bendita a raça dos homens retos.

³ Plenty and riches shall be in his house, and his righteousness shall endure for ever.

³ Suntuosa riqueza haverá em sua casa, e para sempre durará sua abundância.

⁴ There ariseth in the darkness a light to the upright: he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

⁴ Como luz, se eleva, nas trevas, para os retos, o homem benfazejo, misericordioso e justo.

⁵ Well will it be with the man who is kind, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with justice.

⁵ Feliz o homem que se compadece e empresta, que regula suas ações pela justiça.

⁶ Surely unto eternity shall he not be moved: in everlasting remembrance shall the righteous be held.

⁶ Nada jamais o há de abalar: eterna será a memória do justo.

⁷ Of an evil report shall he not be afraid: his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.

⁷ Não temerá notícias funestas, porque seu coração está firme e confiante no Senhor.

⁸ Well supported is his heart, he shall not be afraid, until he looketh on the punishment of his assailants.

⁸ Inabalável é seu coração, livre de medo, até que possa ver confundidos os seus adversários.

⁹ He distributeth, he giveth to the needy: his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted in honor.

⁹ Com largueza distribuiu, deu aos pobres; sua liberalidade permanecerá para sempre. Pode levantar a cabeça com altivez.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he will gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the longing of the wicked shall perish.
