1 "Come, and let us return unto the Lord; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind up our wounds.
1 "Venham, voltemos para o Senhor. Ele nos despedaçou, mas nos trará cura; ele nos feriu, mas sarará nossas feridas.
2 He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his presence.
2 Depois de dois dias ele nos dará vida novamente; ao terceiro dia nos restaurará, para que vivamos em sua presença.
3 And let us feel it, that we may strive to know the Lord; bright as the morningdawn is his rising; and he will come as the rain unto us, as the latter rain that maketh fruitful the earth."
3 Conheçamos o Senhor; esforcemo-nos por conhecê-lo. Tão certo como nasce o sol, ele aparecerá; virá para nós como as chuvas de inverno, como as chuvas de primavera que regam a terra. "
4 What shall I do unto thee, O Ephraim? what shall I do unto thee, O Judah? for your piety is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away.
4 "Que posso fazer com você, Efraim? Que posso fazer com você, Judá? Seu amor é como a neblina da manhã, como o primeiro orvalho que logo evapora.
5 Therefore did I hew them down by means of the prophets; I slew them by the words of my mouth: and thy punishments go forth like the light.
5 Por isso eu os despedacei por meio dos meus profetas, eu os matei com as palavras da minha boca; os meus juízos reluziram como relâmpagos sobre vocês.
6 For piety I desired, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God, more than burntofferings.
6 Pois desejo misericórdia, não sacrifícios, e conhecimento de Deus em vez de holocaustos.
7 But they, like an ordinary man, have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
7 Na cidade de Adão, eles quebraram a aliança, e me foram infiéis.
8 Gilad is become a city of workers of wickedness, is full of traces of blood.
8 Gileade é uma cidade de ímpios, maculada de sangue.
9 And as troops that lie in wait for a man, so is the band of priests, they murder on the way in unison; for they commit scandalous deeds.
9 Assim como os assaltantes ficam de emboscada à espera de um homem, assim fazem também os bandos de sacerdotes; eles assassinam na estrada de Siquém e cometem outros crimes vergonhosos.
10 On the house of Israel have I seen a horrible thing: there is lewdness in Ephraim, Israel is become defiled.
10 Vi uma coisa terrível na terra de Israel. Ali Efraim se prostitui, e Israel está contaminado".
11 Also for thee, O Judah, will a harvest be prepared, when I bring back the captivity of my people.
11 "Também para você, Judá, foi determinada uma colheita para quando eu trouxer de volta o meu povo.
