1 And it came to pass after the plague, That the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Elazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
1 Depois que a praga cessou, o S enhor disse a Moisés e a Eleazar, filho do sacerdote Arão:
2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by the descent from their fathers, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel.
2 “Realizem um censo de toda a comunidade de Israel, de acordo com suas famílias. Façam uma lista de todos os homens de 20 anos para cima, aptos para irem à guerra”.
3 And Moses with Elazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,
3 Portanto, ali nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao rio Jordão e do lado oposto de Jericó, Moisés e o sacerdote Eleazar deram as seguintes instruções aos líderes de Israel:
4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt.
4 “Façam uma lista de todos os homens de Israel de 20 anos para cima, conforme o S enhor ordenou a Moisés”. Este é o registro dos israelitas que saíram do Egito.
5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben, of Chanoch, the family of the Chanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
5 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Rúben, o filho mais velho de Jacó: O clã enoquita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Enoque. O clã paluíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Palu.
6 Of Chezron, the family of the Chezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
6 O clã hezronita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Hezrom. O clã carmita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Carmi.
7 These are the families of the Reubenites; and those that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
7 Esses foram os clãs de Rúben, que totalizaram 43.730 homens registrados.
8 And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.
8 Palu foi antepassado de Eliabe,
9 And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are Dathan and Abiram, men called to the assembly, who quarreled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korach, at the time they quarreled against the Lord;
9 e Eliabe foi o pai de Nemuel, Datã e Abirão. Datã e Abirão foram os mesmos líderes da comunidade que conspiraram contra Moisés e Arão e, com os seguidores de Corá, se rebelaram contra o S enhor .
10 When the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korach, while that company died, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign.
10 Contudo, a terra abriu sua boca e os engoliu juntamente com Corá, e o fogo devorou 250 de seus seguidores. Isso serviu de advertência a todo o povo.
11 But the sons of Korach did not die.
11 A descendência de Corá, porém, não desapareceu por completo.
12 The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Yamin, the family of the Yaminites; of Yachin, the family of the Yachinites;
12 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Simeão: O clã jemuelita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jemuel. O clã jaminita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jamim. O clã jaquinita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jaquim.
13 Of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.

14 These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.
14 Esses foram os clãs de Simeão, que totalizaram 22.200 homens registrados.
15 The children of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Chaggi, the family of the Chaggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
15 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Gade: O clã zefonita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Zefom. O clã hagita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Hagi. O clã sunita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Suni.
16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;
16 O clã oznita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Ozni. O clã erita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Eri.
17 Of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites;

18 These are the families of the children of Gad according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.
18 Esses foram os clãs de Gade, que totalizaram 40.500 homens registrados.
19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan; and Er with Onan died in the land of Canaan.
19 Judá teve dois filhos, Er e Onã, que morreram na terra de Canaã.
20 And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Parzites; of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites.
20 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos sobreviventes de Judá: O clã selanita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Selá. O clã perezita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Perez. O clã zeraíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Zerá.
21 And the sons of Perez were: of Chezron, the family of the Chezronites; of Chamul, the family of the Chamulites.
21 Estas foram as subdivisões dos descendentes dos perezitas: O clã hezronita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Hezrom. O clã hamulita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Hamul.
22 These are the families of Judah, according to those that were numbered of them, seventy and six thousand and five hundred.
22 Esses foram os clãs de Judá, que totalizaram 76.500 homens registrados.
23 The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puva, the family of the Punites;
23 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Issacar: O clã tolaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Tolá. O clã puíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Puá.
24 Of Yashub, the family of the Yashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
24 O clã jasubita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jasube. O clã sinromita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Sinrom.
25 These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, sixty and four thousand and three hundred.
25 Esses foram os clãs de Issacar, que totalizaram 64.300 homens registrados.
26 The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Yachleel, the family of the Yachleelites.
26 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Zebulom: O clã seredita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Serede. O clã elonita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Elom. O clã jaleelita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jaleel.
27 These are the families of the Zebulonites according to those that were numbered of them, sixty thousand and five hundred.
27 Esses foram os clãs de Zebulom, que totalizaram 60.500 homens registrados.
28 The sons of Joseph after their families are Menasseh and Ephraim.
28 Os clãs de José descenderam de seus dois filhos, Manassés e Efraim.
29 The sons of Menasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gilad; of Gilad, the family of the Giladites.
29 Estes foram os clãs descendentes de Manassés: O clã maquirita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Maquir. O clã gileadita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Gileade, filho de Maquir.
30 These are the sons of Gilad: of Iezer, the family of the Iezerites; of Chelek, the family of the Chelkites;
30 Estas foram as subdivisões de descendentes dos gileaditas: O clã jezerita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jezer. O clã helequita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Heleque.
31 And of Assriel, the family of the Assrielites; and of Shechem, the family of the Shichmites;
31 O clã asrielita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Asriel. O clã siquemita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Siquém.
32 And of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and of Chepher, the family of the Chephrites.
32 O clã semidaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Semida. O clã heferita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Héfer.
33 And Zelophehad the son of Chepher had no sons, but only daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Machlah, and Noah, Choglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
33 (Zelofeade, um dos descendentes de Héfer, não teve filhos, mas suas filhas se chamavam Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza.)
34 These are the families of Menasseh; and those that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
34 Esses foram os clãs de Manassés, que totalizaram 52.700 homens registrados.
35 These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelach, the family of the Shuthalchites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tachan, the family of the Tachanites.
35 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Efraim: O clã sutelaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Sutela. O clã bequerita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Bequer. O clã taanita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Taã.
36 And these are the sons of Shuthelach: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.
36 Esta foi a subdivisão de descendentes dos sutelaítas: O clã eranita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Erã.
37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred: these are the sons of Joseph after their families.
37 Esses foram os clãs de Efraim, que totalizaram 32.500 homens registrados. Esses foram os descendentes de José, segundo seus clãs.
38 The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Balites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Achiram, the family of the Achiramites;
38 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Benjamim: O clã belaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Belá. O clã asbelita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Asbel. O clã airamita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Airã.
39 Of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Chupham, the family of the Chuphamites.
39 O clã sufamita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Sufã. O clã hufamita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Hufã.
40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
40 Estas foram as subdivisões de descendentes dos belaítas: O clã ardita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Arde. O clã naamanita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Naamã.
41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.
41 Esses foram os clãs de Benjamim, que totalizaram 45.600 homens registrados.
42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shucham, the family of the Shuchamites; these are the families of Dan after their families.
42 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Dã: O clã suamita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Suã.
43 All the families of the Shuchamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were sixty and four thousand and four hundred.
43 Esses foram os clãs suamitas de Dã, que totalizaram 64.400 homens registrados.
44 The children of Asher after their families: of Yimnah, the family of the Yimnites; of Yishvi, the family of the Yishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.
44 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Aser: O clã imnaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Imna. O clã isvita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Isvi. O clã beriaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Berias.
45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Cheber, the family of the Chebrites; of Malkiel, the family of the Makielites.
45 Estas foram as subdivisões de descendentes dos beriaítas: O clã heberita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Héber. O clã malquielita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Malquiel.
46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serach.
46 Aser teve uma filha chamada Sera.
47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them, fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
47 Esses foram os clãs de Aser, que totalizaram 53.400 homens registrados.
48 The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Yachzeel, the family of the Yachzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;
48 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Naftali: O clã jazeelita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jazeel. O clã gunita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Guni.
49 Of Yezer, the family of the Yizrites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
49 O clã jezerita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jezer. O clã silemita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Silém.
50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
50 Esses foram os clãs de Naftali, que totalizaram 45.400 homens registrados.
51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand, and one thousand, seven hundred and thirty.
51 Os homens registrados em Israel totalizaram 601.730.
52 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
52 Então o S enhor disse a Moisés:
53 Unto these shall the land be divided for an inheritance according to the number of the names.
53 “Divida a terra entre as tribos e distribua as porções de terra de acordo com o número de nomes registrados na lista.
54 To the large tribe shalt thou give the more inheritance, and to the small shalt thou give the less inheritance: to each according to those that were numbered thereof shall its inheritance be given.
54 Dê mais terras às tribos maiores e menos terras às tribos menores, para que cada grupo receba uma herança proporcional ao tamanho de sua população.
55 Nevertheless, through the lot shall the land be divided: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers shall they obtain their inheritance.
55 Distribua a terra por sorteio e dê a cada tribo de seus antepassados a sua porção de acordo com o número de nomes registrados na lista.
56 By the decision of the lot shall the inheritance of each be divided, according as they are many or few.
56 Cada porção de terra será distribuída por sorteio entre as famílias tribais maiores e menores”.
57 And these are those that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershunites: of Kehath, the family of the Kehathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
57 Este é o registro dos levitas que foram contados de acordo com seus clãs: O clã gersonita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Gérson. O clã coatita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Coate. O clã merarita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Merari.
58 These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Machlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korchites; and Kehath begat Amran.
58 Os clãs libnita, hebronita, malita, musita e coraíta eram subdivisões de descendentes dos levitas. Coate foi antepassado de Anrão,
59 And the name of Amrams wife was Yochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bore to Levi in Egypt; and she bore unto Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
59 e a esposa de Anrão se chamava Joquebede. Ela também era descendente de Levi, nascida entre os levitas na terra do Egito. Anrão e Joquebede eram pais de Arão, Moisés e sua irmã Miriã.
60 And there were born unto Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Elazar, and Ithamar.
60 Os filhos de Arão foram Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered a strange fire before the Lord.
61 Nadabe e Abiú morreram quando trouxeram fogo estranho diante do S enhor .
62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all the males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was not given unto them any inheritance among the children of Israel.
62 Os homens dos clãs levitas de um mês de idade ou mais totalizaram 23.000. Os levitas, porém, não foram incluídos no registro do restante dos israelitas, pois não receberam propriedades quando a terra foi dividida.
63 These are those that were numbered by Moses and Elazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, opposite Jericho.
63 Esses foram os resultados do censo dos israelitas realizado por Moisés e pelo sacerdote Eleazar nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao rio Jordão, do lado oposto de Jericó.
64 And among these there was not one man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest had numbered, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
64 Ninguém dessa lista estava registrado no censo anterior dos israelitas feito por Moisés e Arão no deserto do Sinai,
65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness: and there was not left of them one man, save Caleb the son of Yephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
65 pois o S enhor tinha dito a respeito deles: “Todos morrerão no deserto”. Nenhum deles sobreviveu, com exceção de Calebe, filho de Jefoné, e de Josué, filho de Num.
