1 And it came to pass after the plague, That the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Elazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
1 Depois da epidemia, o Senhor disse a Moisés e a Eleazar, filho do sacerdote Arão, o seguinte:
2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by the descent from their fathers, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel.
2 — Façam a contagem de todos os homens israelitas de vinte anos para cima, família por família, isto é, todos os que já têm idade para o serviço militar. São estes os israelitas que saíram do Egito:
3 And Moses with Elazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,

4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt.

5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben, of Chanoch, the family of the Chanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

8 And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.
8 Os descendentes de Palu eram Eliabe
9 And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are Dathan and Abiram, men called to the assembly, who quarreled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korach, at the time they quarreled against the Lord;
9 e os seus filhos Nemuel, Datã e Abirão (Datã e Abirão foram escolhidos pelo povo. Eles se revoltaram contra Moisés e Arão e se juntaram com os seguidores de Corá, na revolta contra Deus, o Senhor .
10 When the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korach, while that company died, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign.

15 The children of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Chaggi, the family of the Chaggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
15 A tribo de Gade: os grupos de famílias de Zefom, Hagui, Suni,
16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;
16 Ozni, Eri,
17 Of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites;
17 Arode e Areli.
18 These are the families of the children of Gad according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.

19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan; and Er with Onan died in the land of Canaan.

20 And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Parzites; of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites.

22 These are the families of Judah, according to those that were numbered of them, seventy and six thousand and five hundred.
22 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados setenta e seis mil e quinhentos homens.
23 The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puva, the family of the Punites;
23 A tribo de Issacar: os grupos de famílias de Tolá, Puva,
24 Of Yashub, the family of the Yashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
24 Jasube e Sinrom.
25 These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, sixty and four thousand and three hundred.
25 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados sessenta e quatro mil e trezentos homens.
26 The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Yachleel, the family of the Yachleelites.
26 A tribo de Zebulom: os grupos de famílias de Serede, Elom e Jaleel.
27 These are the families of the Zebulonites according to those that were numbered of them, sixty thousand and five hundred.
27 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados sessenta mil e quinhentos homens.
28 The sons of Joseph after their families are Menasseh and Ephraim.
28 As tribos de Manassés e Efraim, que eram filhos de José.
29 The sons of Menasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gilad; of Gilad, the family of the Giladites.
29 A tribo de Manassés: Maquir, filho de Manassés, era pai de Gileade, e os seguintes grupos de famílias são descendentes de Gileade:
30 These are the sons of Gilad: of Iezer, the family of the Iezerites; of Chelek, the family of the Chelkites;

31 And of Assriel, the family of the Assrielites; and of Shechem, the family of the Shichmites;
31 Asriel, Siquém,
32 And of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and of Chepher, the family of the Chephrites.

33 And Zelophehad the son of Chepher had no sons, but only daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Machlah, and Noah, Choglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
33 Zelofeade, filho de Héfer, não tinha filhos; somente filhas. Os nomes das filhas de Zelofeade eram: Macla, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza.
34 These are the families of Menasseh; and those that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
34 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados cinquenta e dois mil e setecentos homens.
35 These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelach, the family of the Shuthalchites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tachan, the family of the Tachanites.
35 A tribo de Efraim: os grupos de famílias de Sutela, Bequer e Taã.
36 And these are the sons of Shuthelach: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.
36 O grupo de famílias de Erã descendia de Sutela.
37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred: these are the sons of Joseph after their families.
37 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados trinta e dois mil e quinhentos homens. São esses os grupos de famílias descendentes de José.
38 The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Balites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Achiram, the family of the Achiramites;
38 A tribo de Benjamim: os grupos de famílias de Belá, Asbel, Airão,
39 Of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Chupham, the family of the Chuphamites.
39 Sufã e Hufã.
40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.

42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shucham, the family of the Shuchamites; these are the families of Dan after their families.
42 A tribo de Dã: o grupo de famílias de Suão,
43 All the families of the Shuchamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were sixty and four thousand and four hundred.
43 que tinha sessenta e quatro mil e quatrocentos homens.
44 The children of Asher after their families: of Yimnah, the family of the Yimnites; of Yishvi, the family of the Yishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.
44 A tribo de Aser: os grupos de famílias de Imna, Isvi e Berias.
45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Cheber, the family of the Chebrites; of Malkiel, the family of the Makielites.
45 Os grupos de famílias de Héber e Malquiel são descendentes de Berias.
46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serach.
46 A filha de Aser se chamava Sera.
47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them, fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
47 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados cinquenta e três mil e quatrocentos homens.
48 The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Yachzeel, the family of the Yachzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;
48 A tribo de Naftali: os grupos de famílias de Jazeel, Guni,
49 Of Yezer, the family of the Yizrites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
49 Jezer e Silém.
50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
50 Desses grupos de famílias foram contados quarenta e cinco mil e quatrocentos homens.
51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand, and one thousand, seven hundred and thirty.
51 O número total dos homens israelitas era de seiscentos e um mil setecentos e trinta homens.
52 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
52 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:
53 Unto these shall the land be divided for an inheritance according to the number of the names.
53 — Divida a terra entre as tribos, conforme o tamanho delas. Divida por sorteio e dê as partes maiores para as tribos maiores; e as partes menores, para as tribos menores.
54 To the large tribe shalt thou give the more inheritance, and to the small shalt thou give the less inheritance: to each according to those that were numbered thereof shall its inheritance be given.

55 Nevertheless, through the lot shall the land be divided: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers shall they obtain their inheritance.

56 By the decision of the lot shall the inheritance of each be divided, according as they are many or few.

57 And these are those that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershunites: of Kehath, the family of the Kehathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
57 A tribo de Levi era formada pelos grupos de famílias de Gérson, Coate e Merari.
58 These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Machlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korchites; and Kehath begat Amran.
58 Os grupos de famílias de Libni, Hebrom, Mali, Musi e Corá eram descendentes de Levi. Coate era o pai de Anrão.
59 And the name of Amrams wife was Yochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bore to Levi in Egypt; and she bore unto Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
59 A mulher de Anrão era Joquebede, filha de Levi; ela havia nascido no Egito. Joquebede deu a Anrão dois filhos: Arão e Moisés, e uma filha, chamada Míriam.
60 And there were born unto Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Elazar, and Ithamar.
60 Arão tinha quatro filhos: Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered a strange fire before the Lord.
61 Porém Nadabe e Abiú morreram quando ofereceram a Deus, o Senhor , fogo que não era sagrado.
62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all the males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was not given unto them any inheritance among the children of Israel.
62 Foram contados vinte e três mil levitas do sexo masculino, de um mês de idade para cima. Eles foram contados separadamente dos outros israelitas porque não receberam nenhuma propriedade em Israel.
63 These are those that were numbered by Moses and Elazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, opposite Jericho.
63 São esses os que foram contados por Moisés e pelo sacerdote Eleazar, que fizeram a contagem dos israelitas nas planícies de Moabe, na beira do rio Jordão, na altura de Jericó, que ficava no outro lado do rio.
64 And among these there was not one man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest had numbered, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
64 Entre esses da segunda contagem não havia nenhum dos que tinham sido contados por Moisés e pelo sacerdote Arão, quando fizeram a primeira contagem dos israelitas no deserto do Sinai.
65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness: and there was not left of them one man, save Caleb the son of Yephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
65 O Senhor Deus tinha dito que todos eles certamente morreriam no deserto; e todos morreram, menos Calebe, filho de Jefoné, e Josué, filho de Num.
