1 And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from the Jordan by Jericho, unto the waters of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho by the mount Beth–el,
1 O território que, por sorteio, caiu aos filhos de José ia desde o Jordão, na altura de Jericó e no lado leste das águas de Jericó, até o deserto que sobe de Jericó pela região montanhosa até Betel.
2 And the boundary went out from Beth–el to Luz, and passed along unto the boundary of the Arkites to ‘Ataroth,
2 De Betel ia até Luz, passava ao limite dos arquitas até Atarote
3 And went down westward to the boundary of the Yaphleti, unto the border of Beth–choron the lower, and to Gezer; and its terminations were toward the sea.
3 e descia, na direção do oeste, para a divisa de Jaflete, até a região de Bete-Horom-de-Baixo e até Gezer, terminando no mar.
4 This did the children of Joseph, Menasseh and Ephraim, take as their inheritance.
4 Assim, Manassés e Efraim, filhos de José, receberam a sua herança.
5 And this was the boundary of the children of Ephraim according to their families; and the boundary of their inheritance on the east side was ‘Atroth–addar, up to Beth–choron the upper;
5 O limite da herança dos filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias, era, no leste, Atarote-Adar até Bete-Horom-de-Cima;
6 And the boundary went out toward the sea to Michmethath on the north; and the boundary fetched a compass eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Yanochah;
6 e vai o limite para o mar com Micmetate, ao norte, de onde volta para o leste até Taanate-Siló, e passa por ela a leste de Janoa;
7 And it went down from Yanochah to ‘Ataroth, and to Na’arath, and touched on Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
7 desce desde Janoa a Atarote e a Naarate, toca em Jericó, terminando no Jordão.
8 From Tappuach westward the border went out unto the brook Kanah; and its terminations were toward the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim after their families;
8 De Tapua o limite vai, para o oeste, ao ribeiro de Caná, terminando no mar. Esta é a herança da tribo dos filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias,
9 And in addition to this the cities which were separated for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Menasseh, all the cities with their villages.
9 mais as cidades que foram separadas para os filhos de Efraim, que estavam no meio da herança dos filhos de Manassés; todas aquelas cidades com as suas aldeias.
10 And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt among the Ephraimites until this day, and became tributary servants.
10 Não expulsaram os cananeus que viviam em Gezer. Assim, eles moram no meio dos efraimitas até o dia de hoje, mas estão sujeitos a trabalhos forçados.
