Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NAA
1 The word which Jeremiah the prophet spoke unto Baruch the son of Neriyah, when he wrote these words in a book out of the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah, saying,
1 Palavra que o profeta Jeremias falou a Baruque, filho de Nerias, quando este escrevia num livro as palavras ditadas por Jeremias, no quarto ano do reinado de Jeoaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá:
2 Thus hath said the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning thee, O Baruch:
2 — Assim diz o Senhor , Deus de Israel, a respeito de você, Baruque:
3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my pain; I am wearied in my sighing, and rest have I not found;
3 Você disse: “Ai de mim! Porque o Senhor acrescentou tristeza ao meu sofrimento. Estou cansado de gemer e não encontro descanso.”
4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus hath the Lord said, Behold, what I have built will I pull down, and what I have planted I will pluck up; and so it is with this whole land.
4 Diga-lhe o seguinte: Assim diz o Senhor : “Aquilo que construí eu vou demolir e aquilo que plantei eu vou arrancar, e isto em toda a terra.
5 And wouldst thou indeed seek great things for thyself? seek them not; for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord; but I will give thy life unto thee as a booty in all the places whither thou mayest go.
5 E você está buscando coisas grandes para si mesmo? Não faça isto! Porque eis que trarei mal sobre toda a humanidade, diz o Senhor , mas a você darei a sua vida como despojo, em qualquer lugar para onde você for.”
