Isaías 52

1 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, thou holy city; for no more shall enter into thee henceforth the uncircumcised and the unclean.
1 Acorde, ó Jerusalém, acorde já e renove as suas forças. Cidade santa, vista os seus vestidos mais caros, pois os pagãos, aquela gente nunca mais morarão com você.
2 Shake thyself free from the dust, arise, sit down, O Jerusalem: loosen thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive, daughter of Zion.
2 Ó Sião , bela cidade, prisioneira e sentada no chão, livre-se das suas correntes; levante-se, sacuda o pó das suas roupas e sente-se no seu trono.
3 For thus hath said the Lord, For naught were you sold, and without silver shall ye be redeemed.
3 O Senhor diz ao seu povo: — Quando vocês foram levados como escravos para outro país, ninguém pagou nada por vocês; assim também eu não pagarei nada para livrá-los da escravidão.
4 For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Into Egypt went my people down aforetimes, to sojourn there, and Asshur hath oppressed it without cause.
4 O Senhor Deus diz: — Primeiro, o meu povo foi para o Egito a fim de morar lá; e eles foram porque quiseram. Mais tarde, a Assíria os levou como escravos e não pagou nada por eles.
5 And now what have I here, saith the Lord, since my people hath been taken away for naught? its rulers vaunt aloud, saith the Lord, and continually, all the day, is my name blasphemed.
5 E o que é que estou vendo agora? A Babilônia fez a mesma coisa: levou o meu povo como escravo sem pagar nada por ele. Aqueles que o estão dominando dão gritos de vitória e me ofendem sem parar.
6 Therefore shall my people know my name, therefore on that day, that I am he that speaketh it: here am I.
6 Mas virá o dia em que o meu povo conhecerá o meu nome e saberá que sou eu, o , quem diz: “Eu estou aqui!”
7 How beautiful are upon the mountains the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that publisheth peace, that announceth tidings of happiness, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth.
7 Como é bonito ver um mensageiro correndo pelas montanhas, trazendo notícias de paz, boas notícias de salvação! Ele diz a Sião: “O seu Deus é Rei!”
8 The voice of thy watchmen,they raise their voice, together shall they shout; for eye to eye shall they see, when the Lord returneth unto Zion.
8 Escutem os gritos dos vigias! Eles gritam de alegria, todos juntos, pois veem com os seus próprios olhos a volta do
9 Break forth in song, shout together, ye ruins of Jerusalem; the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
9 Jerusalém arrasada, cante de alegria, pois o e vai salvar Jerusalém.
10 The Lord hath made bare his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
10 Na presença de todas as nações, o O mundo inteiro verá que foi o nosso Deus quem nos salvou.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go ye out from the midst of it; cleanse yourselves, ye bearers of the vessels of the Lord.
11 Meu povo, saia da Babilônia! Saiam todos e não toquem em nada que seja Que se
12 Not in haste shall ye go out, and not in flight shall ye go; for before you goeth the Lord, and your rereward is the God of Israel.
12 Desta vez, vocês não sairão com pressa, não precisarão fugir, pois o O Deus de Israel os protegerá por todos os lados.
13 Behold, my servant shall be prosperous, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be placed very high.
13 O Senhor Deus diz: “Tudo o que o meu ele será louvado e receberá muitas homenagens.
14 Just as many were astonished at thee, so greatly was his countenance marred more than any other mans, and his form more than that of the sons of men,
14 Muitos ficaram horrorizados quando o viram, pois ele estava tão desfigurado, que nem parecia um ser humano.
15 Thus will he cause many nations to jump up in astonishment; at him will kings shut their mouth; for what had not been told unto them shall they see, and what they had never heard shall they understand.
15 Mas agora muitos povos ficarão admirados quando o virem, e muitos reis não saberão o que dizer. Pois verão coisas de que ninguém havia falado, entenderão aquilo que nunca tinham ouvido.”
