Isaías 52

1 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, thou holy city; for no more shall enter into thee henceforth the uncircumcised and the unclean.
1 Desperta, desperta, reveste-te da tua fortaleza, ó Sião; veste-te das tuas roupagens formosas, ó Jerusalém, cidade santa; porque não mais entrará em ti nem incircunciso nem imundo.
2 Shake thyself free from the dust, arise, sit down, O Jerusalem: loosen thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive, daughter of Zion.
2 Sacode-te do pó, levanta-te e toma assento, ó Jerusalém; solta-te das cadeias de teu pescoço, ó cativa filha de Sião.
3 For thus hath said the Lord, For naught were you sold, and without silver shall ye be redeemed.
3 Porque assim diz o Senhor : Por nada fostes vendidos; e sem dinheiro sereis resgatados.
4 For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Into Egypt went my people down aforetimes, to sojourn there, and Asshur hath oppressed it without cause.
4 Porque assim diz o Senhor Deus: O meu povo no princípio desceu ao Egito, para nele habitar, e a Assíria sem razão o oprimiu.
5 And now what have I here, saith the Lord, since my people hath been taken away for naught? its rulers vaunt aloud, saith the Lord, and continually, all the day, is my name blasphemed.
5 Agora, que farei eu aqui, diz o Senhor , visto ter sido o meu povo levado sem preço? Os seus tiranos sobre ele dão uivos, diz o Senhor ; e o meu nome é blasfemado incessantemente todo o dia.
6 Therefore shall my people know my name, therefore on that day, that I am he that speaketh it: here am I.
6 Por isso, o meu povo saberá o meu nome; portanto, naquele dia, saberá que sou eu quem fala: Eis-me aqui.
7 How beautiful are upon the mountains the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that publisheth peace, that announceth tidings of happiness, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth.
7 Que formosos são sobre os montes os pés do que anuncia as boas-novas, que faz ouvir a paz, que anuncia coisas boas, que faz ouvir a salvação, que diz a Sião: O teu Deus reina!
8 The voice of thy watchmen,they raise their voice, together shall they shout; for eye to eye shall they see, when the Lord returneth unto Zion.
8 Eis o grito dos teus atalaias! Eles erguem a voz, juntamente exultam; porque com seus próprios olhos distintamente veem o retorno do Senhor a Sião.
9 Break forth in song, shout together, ye ruins of Jerusalem; the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
9 Rompei em júbilo, exultai à uma, ó ruínas de Jerusalém; porque o Senhor consolou o seu povo, remiu a Jerusalém.
10 The Lord hath made bare his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
10 O Senhor desnudou o seu santo braço à vista de todas as nações; e todos os confins da terra verão a salvação do nosso Deus.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go ye out from the midst of it; cleanse yourselves, ye bearers of the vessels of the Lord.
11 Retirai-vos, retirai-vos, saí de lá, não toqueis coisa imunda; saí do meio dela, purificai-vos, vós que levais os utensílios do Senhor .
12 Not in haste shall ye go out, and not in flight shall ye go; for before you goeth the Lord, and your rereward is the God of Israel.
12 Porquanto não saireis apressadamente, nem vos ireis fugindo; porque o Senhor irá adiante de vós, e o Deus de Israel será a vossa retaguarda.
13 Behold, my servant shall be prosperous, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be placed very high.
13 Eis que o meu Servo procederá com prudência; será exaltado e elevado e será mui sublime.
14 Just as many were astonished at thee, so greatly was his countenance marred more than any other mans, and his form more than that of the sons of men,
14 Como pasmaram muitos à vista dele (pois o seu aspecto estava mui desfigurado, mais do que o de outro qualquer, e a sua aparência, mais do que a dos outros filhos dos homens),
15 Thus will he cause many nations to jump up in astonishment; at him will kings shut their mouth; for what had not been told unto them shall they see, and what they had never heard shall they understand.
15 assim causará admiração às nações, e os reis fecharão a sua boca por causa dele; porque aquilo que não lhes foi anunciado verão, e aquilo que não ouviram entenderão.
