Isaías 14
Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NTLH
1 For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will again make choice of Israel, and replace them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined unto them, and they shall attach themselves to the house of Jacob.
1 Mais uma vez, o Senhor Deus terá compaixão de Israel e o escolherá para ser o seu próprio povo. Fará com que os israelitas voltem para a sua própria terra, e estrangeiros irão morar ali com eles.
2 And nations shall take them, and bring them to their own place; but the house of Israel shall obtain possession of them in the land of the Lord for menservants and for maidservants; and they shall take captive their captors, and they shall rule over their oppressors.
2 Pessoas de várias nações irão com os israelitas para a sua terra, a terra do Senhor , e ali se tornarão escravos e escravas do povo de Israel. Os israelitas terão como escravos aqueles que antigamente eram seus donos e dominarão aqueles que antes os dominavam.
3 And it shall come to pass on the day when the Lord will give thee rest from thy trouble, and from thy vexation, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
3 Povo de Israel, chegará o dia em que o Senhor Deus vai livrá-los da escravidão, e assim vocês ficarão livres dos sofrimentos e dos trabalhos pesados que são forçados a fazer.
4 That thou wilt take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath ceased the oppressor! ceased the exactress of gold!
4 Quando esse dia chegar, zombem do rei da Babilônia, recitando esta poesia: Vejam como desapareceu o rei cruel! Vejam como acabou a sua violência!
5 Broken hath the Lord the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of rulers;
5 O Senhor tirou o poder dos maus; ele quebrou o bastão dos governadores cruéis,
6 He who smote people in wrath, blows without intermission, he that ruled in anger nations, persecuting without restraint.
6 que na sua ira maltratavam os povos e na sua fúria perseguiam as nações que haviam conquistado.
7 At rest, quiet is all the earth; men break forth into loud song.
7 Agora o mundo inteiro está calmo e em paz, e todos cantam de alegria.
8 Also, the firtrees rejoice at thee, the cedars of Lebanon, "Since thou wast laid low, no feller is come up against us."
8 Até os ciprestes e os cedros do Líbano estão contentes com a queda do rei da Babilônia e dizem: “Desde o dia em que ele caiu, não apareceu ninguém para nos derrubar.”
9 The nether world from below is in motion concerning thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the departed for thee, all the chief ones of the earth; it hath caused to rise up from their thrones all the kings of nations.
9 Lá embaixo, no mundo dos mortos , os seus moradores se preparam para receber o rei da Babilônia. As sombras daqueles que eram poderosos na terra acordam, os que foram reis se levantam dos seus tronos.
10 They all will commence and say unto thee, "Thouthou also art become weak like us; similar unto us art thou become!"
10 Todos eles dirão ao rei: “Você também perdeu as forças! Agora você é igual a nós!
11 Into the nether world is brought down thy pride, the clatter of thy psalteries: beneath thee is spread the worm, and thy cover is the moth.
11 Aonde foi parar a sua vaidade? Onde está agora a música das suas Elas estão aqui no mundo dos mortos, onde você vai se deitar em cima de vermes e vai se cobrir com bichos.”
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O morningstar, son of the dawn! how art thou hewn down to the ground, crusher of nations!
12 Rei da Babilônia, brilhante estrela da manhã, você caiu lá do céu! Você, que dominava as nações, foi derrubado no chão!
13 And thouthou hadst said in thy heart, "Into heaven will I ascend, above the stars of God will I exalt my throne; and I will sit also upon the mount of the assembly, in the farthest end of the north;
13 Antigamente você pensava assim: “Subirei até o céu e me sentarei no meu trono, acima das estrelas de Deus. Reinarei lá longe, no Norte, no monte onde os deuses se reúnem.
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be equal to the Most High."
14 Subirei acima das nuvens mais altas e serei como o Deus Altíssimo.”
15 But into the nether world shalt thou be brought down, into the lowest depth.
15 Mas você foi jogado no mundo dos mortos, no
16 They that see thee will gaze at thee, will regard thee well, saying, "Is this the man that caused the earth to tremble, that made kingdoms quake?
16 Os mortos vão olhar espantados para você e vão perguntar: “Será este o homem que fazia os reinos tremerem, que fazia o mundo inteiro tremer de medo?
17 That rendered the world as a wilderness, and pulled down its cities: never opened the prisonhouse of his prisoners?"
17 Será este o homem que fez o mundo virar um deserto, que arrasava cidades e não deixava os seus prisioneiros voltarem para casa?”
18 All the kings of nations, all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own eternal house.
18 Todos os reis do mundo foram sepultados com homenagens, cada um na sua própria sepultura,
19 But thouthou art cast out of thy grave like a discarded offshoot, as a garment of those that are slain, pierced by the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit, as a carcass trodden under foot.
19 mas você não foi sepultado. Como se fosse um aborto nojento, o seu corpo foi jogado fora e pisado. Está coberto de corpos de soldados mortos na batalha, daqueles que desceram até a cova cheia de pedras.
20 Thou shalt not be united with them in burial; because thy land hast thou destroyed, thy people hast thou slain: to eternity shall not be called the seed of evildoers.
20 Você não foi sepultado como os outros reis, pois arrasou o seu próprio país e matou o seu próprio povo. Que morram todos os descendentes desse rei maldito!
21 Prepare for his children the slaughter, for the iniquity of their fathers: that they may not rise, and possess the land, and fill the face of the world with enemies of mankind.
21 Por causa da maldade dos seus antepassados, matem logo os seus filhos a fim de que eles nunca venham a governar a terra, nem encham o mundo de cidades.
22 And I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts; and I will cut off from Babylon name, and remnant, and son, and grandson, saith the Lord.
22 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso diz: — Vou atacar e arrasar a cidade de Babilônia. Vou acabar com todos: pais e filhos, avós e netos. Sou eu, o
23 I will also make it a possession for the hedgehog, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.
23 Farei com que a Babilônia vire um lamaçal, um lugar onde viverão as corujas. Vou varrê-la com a minha vassoura, e ela desaparecerá. Eu, o Senhor Todo-Poderoso, falei.
24 Sworn hath the Lord of hosts, saying, Surely as I have purposed, so doth it come to pass; and as I have resolved, so shall it occur:
24 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso jurou: “Vou fazer o que resolvi; vou realizar o meu plano.
25 To break Asshur in my own land, and upon my mountains will I tread him under foot; then shall his yoke be removed from off them, and his burden from off their shoulders.
25 Vou acabar com os assírios que estão na minha terra de Israel, vou pisá-los nas minhas montanhas. Livrarei o meu povo da escravidão, quebrarei as correntes com que os assírios o prenderam e tirarei das suas costas as suas cargas pesadas.
26 This is the resolve that is resolved over all the earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.
26 É este o plano que tenho para o mundo inteiro; a minha mão está levantada para castigar as nações.”
27 For the Lord of hosts hath resolved, and who shall frustrate it? and it is his hand which is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
27 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso resolveu fazer isso; haverá alguém que o faça parar? Ele levantou a mão para castigar; haverá quem a faça abaixar?
28 In the year king Achaz died was this prophecy given.
28 No ano em que o rei Acaz morreu, veio de Deus esta mensagem:
29 Rejoice not, thou entire Palestine, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken; for out of the serpents root shall come forth an adder, and its fruit shall be a flying dragon.
29 “Povo da Filisteia, não fique alegre por estar quebrada a Assíria, o bastão que os castigava. Pois, quando uma cobra desaparece, vem outra pior, e do ovo de uma cobra sai um dragão voador.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall rest in safety: and I will kill with famine thy root, and men shall slay thy remnant.
30 Como um pastor cuida das ovelhas, assim eu cuidarei dos pobres do meu povo e farei com que vivam em segurança. Porém farei com que vocês, filisteus, morram de fome; não deixarei nenhum vivo.
31 Wail, O gate; cry out, O city; thou art dissolved, O thou entire Palestine; for from the north a smoke is coming, and there is no one solitary among those that are bidden to come.
31 Chorem e gritem de dor, cidades dos filisteus! Fiquem todas apavoradas! Pois do Norte vem uma nuvem de pó: é um exército que não tem nenhum covarde nas suas fileiras.”
32 And what will each one of the messengers of the nation answer? That the Lord hath founded Zion; and that therein shall find protection the poor of his people.
32 Que resposta será dada aos mensageiros que vieram da Filisteia? A resposta será esta: “O e ali os pobres do seu povo encontram abrigo.”
