Isaías 14
Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NAA
1 For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will again make choice of Israel, and replace them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined unto them, and they shall attach themselves to the house of Jacob.
1 Porque o Senhor se compadecerá de Jacó e voltará a escolher Israel, estabelecendo-os na sua própria terra. A eles se juntarão os estrangeiros, e estes farão parte da casa de Jacó.
2 And nations shall take them, and bring them to their own place; but the house of Israel shall obtain possession of them in the land of the Lord for menservants and for maidservants; and they shall take captive their captors, and they shall rule over their oppressors.
2 Os povos os pegarão e os levarão aos lugares deles, e a casa de Israel terá esses povos por servos e servas, na terra do Senhor . Os israelitas terão como prisioneiros aqueles que os tinham aprisionado e dominarão os seus opressores.
3 And it shall come to pass on the day when the Lord will give thee rest from thy trouble, and from thy vexation, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
3 Povo de Israel, no dia em que Deus vier a dar-lhe descanso do sofrimento, das angústias e da dura servidão que lhe foi imposta,
4 That thou wilt take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath ceased the oppressor! ceased the exactress of gold!
4 você proferirá esta sátira contra o rei da Babilônia: Como cessou o opressor! Como acabou a tirania!
5 Broken hath the Lord the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of rulers;
5 O Senhor quebrou o bastão dos ímpios e o cetro dos dominadores,
6 He who smote people in wrath, blows without intermission, he that ruled in anger nations, persecuting without restraint.
6 que feriam os povos com furor, com golpes incessantes, e com ira dominavam as nações, com perseguição irreprimível.
7 At rest, quiet is all the earth; men break forth into loud song.
7 Agora toda a terra descansa e está sossegada. Todos dão gritos de alegria.
8 Also, the firtrees rejoice at thee, the cedars of Lebanon, "Since thou wast laid low, no feller is come up against us."
8 Até os ciprestes se alegram por causa de você, e os cedros do Líbano exclamam: “Desde que você caiu, ninguém mais vem para nos cortar.”
9 The nether world from below is in motion concerning thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the departed for thee, all the chief ones of the earth; it hath caused to rise up from their thrones all the kings of nations.
9 Lá embaixo, o mundo dos mortos se agita por causa de você, para sair ao seu encontro quando você chegar. Por sua causa, ele desperta as sombras e todos os príncipes da terra, e faz levantar dos seus tronos todos os reis das nações.
10 They all will commence and say unto thee, "Thouthou also art become weak like us; similar unto us art thou become!"
10 Todos estes começam a falar e se dirigem a você, dizendo: “Então também você enfraqueceu como nós? E você se tornou como um de nós?
11 Into the nether world is brought down thy pride, the clatter of thy psalteries: beneath thee is spread the worm, and thy cover is the moth.
11 A sua soberba foi jogada no abismo, junto com o som das suas harpas. A sua cama é de larvas e os vermes são a sua coberta.”
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O morningstar, son of the dawn! how art thou hewn down to the ground, crusher of nations!
12 Veja como você caiu do céu, ó estrela da manhã, filho da alva! Veja como você foi lançado por terra, você que debilitava as nações!
13 And thouthou hadst said in thy heart, "Into heaven will I ascend, above the stars of God will I exalt my throne; and I will sit also upon the mount of the assembly, in the farthest end of the north;
13 Você pensava assim: “Subirei ao céu, exaltarei o meu trono acima das estrelas e me assentarei no monte da congregação, nas extremidades do Norte.
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be equal to the Most High."
14 Subirei acima das mais altas nuvens e serei semelhante ao Altíssimo.”
15 But into the nether world shalt thou be brought down, into the lowest depth.
15 Mas você descerá ao mundo dos mortos, no mais profundo do abismo.
16 They that see thee will gaze at thee, will regard thee well, saying, "Is this the man that caused the earth to tremble, that made kingdoms quake?
16 Os que virem você olharão atentamente e perguntarão: “É este o homem que fazia a terra tremer e que abalava os reinos?
17 That rendered the world as a wilderness, and pulled down its cities: never opened the prisonhouse of his prisoners?"
17 Que transformava o mundo num deserto e arrasava as suas cidades? Que não deixava os seus prisioneiros voltarem para casa?”
18 All the kings of nations, all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own eternal house.
18 Todos os reis das nações, sim, todos jazem com honra, cada um em seu túmulo.
19 But thouthou art cast out of thy grave like a discarded offshoot, as a garment of those that are slain, pierced by the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit, as a carcass trodden under foot.
19 Mas você é lançado fora da sua sepultura, como um renovo abominável, coberto de mortos traspassados à espada e que descem à cova de pedras, como um cadáver pisoteado.
20 Thou shalt not be united with them in burial; because thy land hast thou destroyed, thy people hast thou slain: to eternity shall not be called the seed of evildoers.
20 Você não se reunirá com eles na sepultura, porque você destruiu a sua própria terra e matou o seu próprio povo. A descendência dos malfeitores jamais será nomeada.
21 Prepare for his children the slaughter, for the iniquity of their fathers: that they may not rise, and possess the land, and fill the face of the world with enemies of mankind.
21 Preparem a matança dos filhos dele por causa da maldade de seus pais, para que esses não se levantem, tomem posse da terra, e encham o mundo de cidades.
22 And I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts; and I will cut off from Babylon name, and remnant, and son, and grandson, saith the Lord.
22 — Eu me levantarei contra eles, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. Acabarei com o nome e os sobreviventes da Babilônia, com os seus descendentes e a sua posteridade, diz o Senhor .
23 I will also make it a possession for the hedgehog, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.
23 Farei dela a habitação de ouriços e um lugar de pântanos. Vou varrê-la com a vassoura da destruição, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
24 Sworn hath the Lord of hosts, saying, Surely as I have purposed, so doth it come to pass; and as I have resolved, so shall it occur:
24 O Senhor dos Exércitos jurou, dizendo: “Como pensei, assim será, e, como determinei, assim acontecerá.
25 To break Asshur in my own land, and upon my mountains will I tread him under foot; then shall his yoke be removed from off them, and his burden from off their shoulders.
25 Esmagarei a Assíria na minha terra e nas minhas montanhas a pisarei, para que o seu jugo se afaste de Israel, e a sua carga se desvie dos ombros dele.
26 This is the resolve that is resolved over all the earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.
26 Este é o plano que foi elaborado para toda a terra; e esta é a mão que está estendida sobre todas as nações.”
27 For the Lord of hosts hath resolved, and who shall frustrate it? and it is his hand which is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
27 Pois, se o Senhor dos Exércitos o determinou, quem poderá invalidá-lo? Se a mão dele está estendida, quem a fará voltar atrás?
28 In the year king Achaz died was this prophecy given.
28 No ano em que o rei Acaz morreu, foi pronunciada esta sentença:
29 Rejoice not, thou entire Palestine, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken; for out of the serpents root shall come forth an adder, and its fruit shall be a flying dragon.
29 “Não se alegrem, todos vocês da Filístia, por estar quebrada a vara que os feria. Porque da raiz da cobra sairá uma víbora, e o seu fruto será uma serpente voadora.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall rest in safety: and I will kill with famine thy root, and men shall slay thy remnant.
30 Os primogênitos dos pobres serão apascentados, e os necessitados se deitarão em segurança. Porém farei morrer de fome a sua raiz, ó Filístia, e os seus sobreviventes serão mortos.
31 Wail, O gate; cry out, O city; thou art dissolved, O thou entire Palestine; for from the north a smoke is coming, and there is no one solitary among those that are bidden to come.
31 Uive, ó portão! Grite, ó cidade! Todos vocês da Filístia, tremam de medo! Porque do Norte vem fumaça, e ninguém há que se afaste das suas fileiras.”
32 And what will each one of the messengers of the nation answer? That the Lord hath founded Zion; and that therein shall find protection the poor of his people.
32 Que resposta se dará, então, aos mensageiros daquele povo? “O e nela os aflitos do seu povo encontram refúgio.”
