1 The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
1 Os filhos de Judá foram: Perez, Hezrom, Carmi, Hur e Sobal.
2 And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These
2 Reaías, filho de Sobal, gerou Jaate; Jaate gerou Aumai e Laade; estas são as famílias dos zoratitas.
3 And these

9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
9 Jabez foi mais ilustre do que seus irmãos; a sua mãe deu-lhe o nome de Jabez, dizendo: “Porque com dores o dei à luz.”
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep
10 Jabez invocou o Deus de Israel, dizendo: Oh! Quem dera me abençoasses e expandisses o meu território! Que a tua mão esteja comigo! Preserva-me do mal, para que não me sobrevenha aflição! E Deus lhe concedeu o que ele tinha pedido.
11 And Chelub the brother of Shuah begat Mehir, which
11 Quelube, irmão de Suá, gerou Meir; este é o pai de Estom.
12 And Eshton begat Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These
12 Estom gerou Bete-Rafa, Paseia e Teína, pai de Ir-Naás; estes foram os homens de Reca.
13 And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.

14 And Meonothai begat Ophrah: and Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were craftsmen.

15 And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and the sons of Elah, even Kenaz.

16 And the sons of Jehaleleel; Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
16 Os filhos de Jealelel foram: Zife, Zifa, Tiria e Asareel.
17 And the sons of Ezra
17 Os filhos de Ezra foram: Jéter, Merede, Éfer e Jalom. Os filhos de Bitia, filha de Faraó, que Merede tomou por mulher, foram: Miriã, Samai e Isbá, pai de Estemoa.
18 And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these
18 E sua mulher, judia, deu à luz Jerede, pai de Gedor, Héber, pai de Socó, e Jecutiel, pai de Zanoa.
19 And the sons of
19 Os filhos da mulher de Hodias, irmã de Naã, foram: Abiqueila, o garmita, e Estemoa, o maacatita.
20 And the sons of Shimon
20 Os filhos de Simão foram: Amnom, Rina, Ben-Hanã e Tilom; e os filhos de Isi foram: Zoete e Ben-Zoete.
21 The sons of Shelah the son of Judah
21 Os filhos de Selá, filho de Judá, foram: Er, pai de Leca, e Lada, pai de Maressa. Selá foi também pai das famílias da casa dos que trabalhavam com linho, em Bete-Asbeia,
22 And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And
22 bem como de Joquim, dos homens de Cozeba, de Joás, de Sarafe, os quais dominavam sobre Moabe, e de Jasubi-Leém. Estes registros são antigos.
23 These

24 The sons of Simeon

26 And the sons of Mishma; Hamuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

27 And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.
27 Simei teve dezesseis filhos e seis filhas; mas seus irmãos não tiveram muitos filhos, nem se multiplicaram todas as suas famílias como os filhos de Judá.
28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual,
28 Habitavam em Berseba, em Molada, em Hazar-Sual,
29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,

30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,

31 And at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim. These

39 And they went to the entrance of Gedor,

40 And they found fat pasture and good, and the land

41 And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms: because
41 Estes, que estão registrados por seus nomes, foram nos dias de Ezequias, rei de Judá, e derrubaram as tendas, e atacaram os meunitas que se encontravam ali, e os destruíram totalmente até o dia de hoje, e ficaram morando no lugar deles, porque ali havia pasto para os seus rebanhos.
42 And
42 Também deles, dos filhos de Simeão, quinhentos homens foram ao monte Seir, tendo por capitães Pelatias, Nearias, Refaías e Uziel, filhos de Isi.
43 And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
43 Mataram o restante dos que escaparam dos amalequitas e estão morando ali até o dia de hoje.
