King James 2000 (KJ2000) vs ARA
1 Woe to the land with whirring wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
1 Ai da terra onde há o roçar de muitas asas de insetos, que está além dos rios da Etiópia;
2 That sends ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, you swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth of skin, to a people feared from their beginning until now; a nation powerful and treading down, whose land the rivers divide!
2 que envia embaixadores por mar em navios de papiro sobre as águas, dizendo: Ide, mensageiros velozes, a uma nação de homens altos e de pele brunida, a um povo terrível, de perto e de longe; a uma nação poderosa e esmagadora, cuja terra os rios dividem.
3 All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see, when he lifts up a banner on the mountains; and when he blows a trumpet, hear.
3 Vós, todos os habitantes do mundo, e vós, os moradores da terra, quando se arvorar a bandeira nos montes, olhai; e, quando se tocar a trombeta, escutai.
4 For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will watch from my dwelling place like a clear heat in sunshine, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
4 Porque assim me disse o Senhor : Olhando da minha morada, estarei calmo como o ardor quieto do sol resplandecente, como a nuvem do orvalho no calor da sega.
5 For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
5 Porque antes da vindima, caída já a flor, e quando as uvas amadurecem, então, podará os sarmentos com a foice e cortará os ramos que se estendem.
6 They shall be left together for the fowls of the mountains, and for the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
6 Serão deixados juntos às aves dos montes e aos animais da terra; sobre eles veranearão as aves de rapina, e todos os animais da terra passarão o inverno sobre eles.
7 In that time shall a present be brought unto the LORD of hosts from a people tall and smooth of skin, and from a people feared from their beginning until now; a nation powerful and treading under foot, whose land the rivers divide, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, to mount Zion.
7 Naquele tempo, será levado um presente ao Senhor dos Exércitos por um povo de homens altos e de pele brunida, povo terrível, de perto e de longe; por uma nação poderosa e esmagadora, cuja terra os rios dividem, ao lugar do nome do Senhor dos Exércitos, ao monte Sião.
