1 Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold a flying roll.
1 Levantei novamente os olhos, e vi diante de mim um pergaminho que voava.
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof [is] twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
2 O anjo me perguntou: "O que você está vendo? " Respondi: "Vejo um pergaminho voando, com nove metros de comprimento por quatro e meio de largura".
3 Then said he unto me, This [is] the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth; for every one that steals (as it [is written] on one side of the [roll]) shall be destroyed; and every one that swears (as it [is written] on the other side of the [roll]) shall be destroyed.
3 Então ele me disse: "Nele está escrita a maldição que está sendo derramada sobre toda a terra: porque tanto o ladrão como o que jura falsamente serão expulsos, conforme essa maldição.
4 I brought it forth, said the LORD of the hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name; and it shall remain in the midst of his house and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
4 Assim declara o Senhor dos Exércitos: ‘Eu lancei essa maldição para que ela entre na casa do ladrão e na casa do que jura falsamente pelo meu nome. Ela ficará em sua casa e destruirá tanto as vigas como os tijolos! ’ "
5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes and see what [is] this that goes forth.
5 Em seguida o anjo que falava comigo se adiantou e me disse: "Olhe e veja o que vem surgindo".
6 And I said, What [is] it? And he said, This is an ephah [to measure wheat] that goes forth. He said moreover, This [is] their resemblance in all the earth.
6 Perguntei o que era aquilo, e ele me respondeu: "É um cesto". E disse mais: "Aí está o pecado de todo o povo desta terra".
7 And, behold, they lifted up a talent of lead, and a woman was sitting in the midst of that ephah.
7 Então a tampa de chumbo foi retirada, e ali dentro do cesto estava uma mulher sentada!
8 And he said, This [is] wickedness. And he cast her into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
8 Ele disse: "Esta é a Perversidade", e a empurrou para dentro do cesto e o tapou de novo com a tampa de chumbo.
9 Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind [was] in their wings for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.
9 De novo ergui os olhos e vi chegarem à minha frente duas mulheres com asas como de cegonha; o vento impeliu suas asas, e elas ergueram o cesto entre o céu e a terra.
10 Then I said to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah?
10 Perguntei ao anjo: "Para onde estão levando o cesto? "
11 And he said unto me, To build it a house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.:
11 Ele respondeu: "Para a Babilônia, onde vão construir um santuário para ele. Quando ficar pronto, o cesto será colocado lá, em seu pedestal".
