1 Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold a flying roll.
1 E outra vez levantei os meus olhos, e vi, e eis um rolo volante.
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof [is] twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
2 E disse-me o anjo: Que vês? E eu disse: Vejo um rolo volante, que tem vinte côvados de comprido e dez côvados de largo.
3 Then said he unto me, This [is] the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth; for every one that steals (as it [is written] on one side of the [roll]) shall be destroyed; and every one that swears (as it [is written] on the other side of the [roll]) shall be destroyed.
3 Então disse-me: Esta é a maldição que sairá pela face de toda a terra; porque qualquer que furtar será desarraigado, conforme está estabelecido de um lado do rolo; como também qualquer que jurar falsamente, será desarraigado, conforme está estabelecido do outro lado do rolo.
4 I brought it forth, said the LORD of the hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name; and it shall remain in the midst of his house and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
4 Eu a farei sair, disse o Senhor dos Exércitos, e ela entrará na casa do ladrão, e na casa do que jurar falsamente pelo meu nome; e permanecerá no meio da sua casa, e a consumirá juntamente com a sua madeira e com as suas pedras.
5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes and see what [is] this that goes forth.
5 E saiu o anjo, que falava comigo, e disse-me: Levanta agora os teus olhos, e vê que é isto que sai.
6 And I said, What [is] it? And he said, This is an ephah [to measure wheat] that goes forth. He said moreover, This [is] their resemblance in all the earth.
6 E eu disse: Que é isto? E ele disse: Isto é um efa que sai. Disse ainda: Este é o aspecto deles em toda a terra.
7 And, behold, they lifted up a talent of lead, and a woman was sitting in the midst of that ephah.
7 E eis que foi levantado um talento de chumbo, e uma mulher estava assentada no meio do efa.
8 And he said, This [is] wickedness. And he cast her into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
8 E ele disse: Esta é a impiedade. E a lançou dentro do efa; e lançou sobre a boca deste o peso de chumbo.
9 Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind [was] in their wings for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.
9 E levantei os meus olhos, e vi, e eis que saíram duas mulheres; e traziam vento nas suas asas, pois tinham asas como as da cegonha; e levantaram o efa entre a terra e o céu.
10 Then I said to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah?
10 Então eu disse ao anjo que falava comigo: Para onde levam elas o efa?
11 And he said unto me, To build it a house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.:
11 E ele me disse: Para lhe edificarem uma casa na terra de Sinar; e, estando ela acabada, ele será posto ali na sua base.
