¹ Senhor, não me castigues na tua ira nem me disciplines no teu furor.

² Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I [am] weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

² Misericórdia, Senhor, pois vou desfalecendo! Cura-me, Senhor, pois os meus ossos tremem:

³ My soul is also greatly troubled; but thou, O LORD, how long?

³ Todo o meu ser estremece. Até quando, Senhor, até quando?

⁴ Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

⁴ Volta-te, Senhor, e livra-me; salva-me por causa do teu amor leal.

⁵ For in death [there is] no remembrance of thee: in Sheol who shall give thee thanks?

⁵ Quem morreu não se lembra de ti. Entre os mortos, quem te louvará?

⁶ I am weary with my groaning; all the night I flood my bed; I water my couch with my tears.

⁶ Estou exausto de tanto gemer. De tanto chorar inundo de noite a minha cama; de lágrimas encharco o meu leito.

⁷ Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxes old because of all mine enemies.

⁷ Os meus olhos se consomem de tristeza; fraquejam por causa de todos os meus adversários.

⁸ Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.

⁸ Afastem-se de mim todos vocês que praticam o mal, porque o Senhor ouviu o meu choro.

⁹ The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD has received my prayer.

⁹ O Senhor ouviu a minha súplica; o Senhor aceitou a minha oração.

¹⁰ All my enemies shall be ashamed; they shall be sorely troubled: they shall turn back [and] be ashamed suddenly.:

¹⁰ Serão humilhados e aterrorizados todos os meus inimigos; frustrados, recuarão de repente.
