¹ Ouve-me quando eu clamo, ó Deus da minha justiça; na angústia me deste largueza; tem misericórdia de mim e ouve a minha oração.

² O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, [and] seek after the lie? Selah.

² Filhos dos homens, até quando convertereis a minha glória em infâmia? Até quando amareis a vaidade e buscareis a mentira? (Selá)

³ But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

³ Sabei, pois, que o Senhor separou para si aquele que lhe é querido; o Senhor ouvirá quando eu clamar a ele.

⁴ Stand in awe, and sin not; meditate in your heart upon your bed, and desist. Selah.

⁴ Perturbai-vos e não pequeis; falai com o vosso coração sobre a vossa cama e calai-vos. (Selá)

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

⁵ Oferecei sacrifícios de justiça e confiai no Senhor .

⁶ [There are] many that say, Who will show us [any] good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

⁷ Thou hast put gladness in my heart in the time [that] their grain and their wine multiplied.

⁷ Puseste alegria no meu coração, mais do que no tempo em que se multiplicaram o seu trigo e o seu vinho.

⁸ I will both lay me down in peace and sleep: for thou only, O LORD, dost make me to be confident.:

⁸ Em paz também me deitarei e dormirei, porque só tu, Senhor , me fazes habitar em segurança.
