1 Ó S enhor , tenho tantos inimigos; tanta gente é contra mim!
2 [There are] many who say of my soul, [There] is no help for him in God. Selah.
2 São muitos os que dizem: “Deus nunca o livrará!”. Interlúdio
3 But thou, O LORD, [art] a shield for me; my glory and the lifter up of my head.
3 Mas tu, S enhor , és um escudo ao meu redor; és minha glória e manténs minha cabeça erguida.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and [he] answered me out of the mountain of his holiness. Selah.
4 Clamei ao S enhor , e ele me respondeu de seu santo monte. Interlúdio
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for the LORD sustained me.
5 Deitei-me e dormi; acordei em segurança, pois o S
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set [themselves] against me round about.
6 Não tenho medo de dez mil inimigos que me cercam de todos os lados.
7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God, for thou hast smitten all mine enemies [upon] the jawbone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
7 Levanta-te, S enhor ! Salva-me, Deus meu! Acerta meus inimigos no queixo e quebra os dentes dos perversos.
8 Salvation [belongs] unto the LORD; thy blessing [shall be] upon thy people. Selah.:
8 De ti, S enhor , vem o livramento; abençoa o teu povo! Interlúdio
