1 Ó Senhor Deus, eu clamo a ti; vem depressa me socorrer! Escuta-me quando peço a tua ajuda.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee [as] incense, the gift of my hands [as] the evening sacrifice.
2 Recebe a minha oração como se fosse incenso, e que as minhas mãos levantadas sejam como a oferta da tarde!
3 Set a watch, O LORD, upon my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
3 Ó Senhor , controla a minha boca e não me deixes falar o que não devo!
4 Incline not my heart to [any] evil thing, to do works with ungodliness with the men that work iniquity, and let me not eat of their dainties.
4 Não permitas que o meu coração deseje fazer o mal, nem que eu ande com os que são perversos ou tome parte na maldade deles. E que eu nunca esteja presente nas suas festas!
5 Let the righteous smite me in mercy, and let him reprove me: and let not [a] flattering [evil] prince anoint my head, for my prayer [shall] ever [be] against his evil.
5 Eu aceito que uma pessoa direita me repreenda ou castigue, pois isso é um gesto de amizade; mas eu nunca aceitarei elogios dos perversos e continuarei a orar contra a ruindade deles.
6 Their judges shall be thrown down from strong places; they shall hearken unto my words; for they are sweet.
6 Quando os seus chefes forem atirados do alto dos rochedos, então o povo saberá que eu dizia a verdade.
7 Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cuts and cleaves [wood] upon the earth.
7 Como a lenha é rachada e cortada em pedaços, assim os seus ossos serão espalhados na beira da sepultura deles.
8 Therefore mine eyes [look] unto thee, O GOD the Lord; in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
8 Mas eu, ó Senhor , meu Deus, continuo confiando em ti e buscando a tua proteção. Não me deixes morrer.
9 Keep me from the hands of the snare [which] they have laid for me, and from the snares of the workers of iniquity.
9 Livra-me das redes que os perversos estendem para me pegar, livra-me das armadilhas dos que fazem o mal.
10 Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, whilst I pass on [ahead] forever.:
10 Que os maus caiam nas suas próprias armadilhas, e que eu consiga escapar são e salvo!
