1 When I was healing Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim was uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they worked deceit; and the thief comes in, [and] the troop of robbers spoils without.
1 Quando eu sarei Israel, a iniquidade de Efraim foi descoberta, e a iniquidade de Samaria; porque praticaram a falsidade; e o ladrão entra, e a tropa dos salteadores despoja por fora.
2 And they do not consider in their hearts [that] I remember all their wickedness; now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
2 E não consideram no seu coração que eu me lembro de toda a sua maldade; agora, pois, as suas próprias obras os envolvem; eles estão diante da minha face.
3 They make the king glad with their wickedness and the princes with their lies.
3 Eles alegram o rei com a sua maldade, e os príncipes com as suas mentiras.
4 They [are] all adulterers as an oven heated by the baker [who] shall cease from waking after he has kneaded the dough until it is leavened.
4 Todos eles são adúlteros, como um forno aquecido pelo padeiro, que cessa de mexer, depois que ele amassou a massa, até que seja levedada.
5 In the day of our king the princes have made [him] sick with [a] wineskin; he stretched out his hand with the scorners.
5 E no dia do nosso rei os príncipes o fizeram doente com garrafas de vinho; ele estendeu a sua mão com os escarnecedores.
6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven while they lie in wait; their baker sleeps all night; in the morning it burns as a flaming fire.
6 Porquanto prepararam o seu coração como um forno, enquanto ficavam na emboscada; o seu padeiro dorme toda a noite; pela manhã ele arde como fogo de chama.
7 They are all hot as an oven and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen; [there is] no one among them that calls unto me.
7 Todos eles estão quentes como um forno, e devoraram os seus juízes; todos os seus reis estão caídos, e não há ninguém entre eles que clame a mim.
8 Ephraim, he has mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
8 Efraim se mistura com os povos; Efraim é um bolo que não foi virado.
9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he does not know [it]; yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he does not understand.
9 Estrangeiros devoraram a sua força, e ele não o sabe; sim, cabelos cinzas se espalham sobre ele, mas ele não o sabe.
10 And the pride of Israel shall testify to his face, and they have not returned to the LORD their God, nor have they sought him with all this.
10 E o orgulho de Israel testificará diante dele; todavia não voltam para o SENHOR seu Deus, nem o buscam em tudo isto.
11 Ephraim also was like a deceived dove, without understanding; they shall call to Egypt, they shall go to Assyria.
11 Efraim também é como uma pomba tola, sem coração; eles invocam o Egito, e vão para a Assíria.
12 When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them according to what has been heard in their congregations.
12 Quando forem, estenderei a minha rede sobre eles, e os farei descer como aves do céu; os castigarei, conforme ouviu a sua congregação.
13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction upon them! because they have rebelled against me; [though] I have ransomed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
13 Ai deles, pois fugiram de mim; destruição sobre eles, porque transgrediram contra mim; embora os tenha redimido, ainda assim disseram mentiras contra mim.
14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart when they howled upon their beds; they congregated themselves for the wheat and the wine, [and] they rebelled against me.
14 E não clamaram a mim com o seu coração, quando davam uivos sobre as suas camas; se ajuntam para o trigo e para o vinho, e se rebelam contra mim.
15 Though I have bound [and] strengthened their arms, yet they imagine evil against me.
15 Embora eu tenha selado e fortalecido seus braços, ainda tramam o mal contra mim.
16 They returned, [but] not to the most High; they were like a deceitful bow; their princes fell by the sword for the arrogance of their tongue; this [shall be] their derision in the land of Egypt.:
16 Eles retornam, mas não para o Altíssimo. Eles são como um arco enganador; os seus príncipes cairão à espada, por causa do furor da sua língua; este será o seu escárnio na terra do Egito.
