Isaías 33
English Jubilee 2000 Bible (JUBL2000) vs NTLH
1 Woe to thee that dost spoil, and thou [wast] not spoiled; and dost deal treacherously, and they did not deal treacherously with thee! When thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; [and] when thou shalt make an end to dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
1 Ai de você, inimigo destruidor que nunca foi destruído! Ai de você, traidor que nunca foi traído! Quando você acabar de destruir, será destruído; quando acabar de trair, será traído.
2 O LORD, have mercy on us; we wait for thee: [thou] wert the strength of thy people in the beginning, be also our saving health in the time of tribulation.
2 Ó Senhor Deus, tem compaixão de nós, pois esperamos que nos ajudes. Sê o nosso protetor todos os dias, sê o nosso Salvador em tempos de dificuldades.
3 At the noise of the tumult the peoples fled; at the lifting up of thyself the Gentiles were scattered.
3 Os povos fogem quando ouvem o estrondo da tua voz. Quando ages, as nações se espalham,
4 And your spoil shall be gathered [like] the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
4 e os inimigos delas, como uma nuvem de gafanhotos, levam embora tudo o que elas têm.
5 The LORD shall be exalted; he who dwells on the heights: [for] he has filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
5 O Senhor é majestoso, pois mora nas alturas; ele encherá
6 And in thy times wisdom and knowledge, and the strength of salvation shall reign: the fear of the LORD [shall be] his treasure.
6 e fará com que o seu povo viva em segurança, dando-lhe salvação completa, sabedoria e conhecimento. O
7 Behold, their ambassadors shall cry without: the messengers of peace shall weep bitterly.
7 Os soldados valentes estão se lamentando nas ruas, e os embaixadores que procuravam fazer a paz choram amargamente.
8 The highways shall be broken down; the travellers shall cease; he has broken the covenant; he has despised the cities; he does not regard man.
8 As estradas estão vazias, ninguém viaja por elas. Os os tratados são desfeitos; ninguém é respeitado.
9 The earth mourns [and] languishes: Lebanon is ashamed [and] hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel were shaken.
9 As terras do país vão se gastando e se desfazendo; as florestas dos montes Líbanos estão secas, o vale de Sarom virou um deserto, e na região de Basã e no monte Carmelo as árvores perderam as suas folhas.
10 Now I will rise up, saith the LORD; now I will be exalted; now I will be lifted up.
10 O Senhor diz aos povos: “Agora, eu vou agir; vou mostrar o meu poder e a minha grandeza.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, [as] fire, shall devour you.
11 O que vocês inventam vale menos do que a palha; o que vocês planejam é tão sem valor como o lixo. O meu sopro, como um fogo, os destruirá.
12 And the peoples shall be [as] the burnings of lime: [as] thorns cut up they shall be burned in the fire.
12 Vocês vão virar cinzas; queimarão como espinhos jogados no fogo.
13 Hear, ye [that are] far off, what I have done; and, ye [that are] near, acknowledge my might.
13 Vocês todos, os que estão longe e os que estão perto, escutem o que eu fiz e reconheçam o meu poder!”
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with eternal flames?
14 Em Sião, os pecadores tremem de medo; cheios de pavor, eles perguntam: “Quem poderá viver perto desse fogo devorador, perto dessas chamas que não param de queimar?”
15 He that walks in righteousness, he that speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of violence, he that shakes his hands from receiving bribes; he that stops his ears to not hear of blood; he who shuts his eyes to not see evil;
15 Somente poderá fazer isso quem age corretamente e sempre diz a verdade; que não fica rico à custa dos fracos, nem aceita dinheiro para torcer a justiça; que não se junta com os que planejam crimes de morte, nem concorda com os planos dos maus.
16 he shall dwell upon the high places: fortresses of rocks shall be his place of refuge: bread shall be given him; his waters [shall be] sure.
16 Quem age assim viverá seguro, e em fortalezas feitas de pedras ele encontrará refúgio; ele sempre terá comida, e nunca lhe faltará água para beber.
17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
17 Mais uma vez vocês verão um rei com toda a sua glória , governando um país imenso.
18 Thine heart shall imagine the terror. Where [is] the scribe? Where [is] the receiver [of tribute]? Where [is] he that counted the towers?
18 Vocês pensarão no medo que sentiram no passado e perguntarão: “Onde estão aqueles que nos forçavam a pagar tributos, aqueles que cobravam os impostos? Onde estão os que controlavam as nossas fortalezas?”
19 Thou shalt not see that fierce people, a people of a darker speech than thou can perceive; of a stammering tongue, [that thou can] not understand.
19 Vocês nunca mais verão aquele povo orgulhoso, aquela gente que fala uma língua estranha, uma língua difícil que ninguém entende.
20 Thou shalt see Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle [that] shall not be taken down; not one of its stakes shall ever be removed, neither shall any of its cords be broken.
20 Vejam Sião , a cidade onde fazemos as nossas festas! Jerusalém será uma cidade segura, será como uma barraca que não pode ser mudada de lugar; nenhuma das suas estacas será arrancada, e nenhuma das suas cordas será arrebentada.
21 For the LORD shall surely be strong unto us there, a place of broad rivers [and] wide streams in which no galley with oars shall go, neither shall [any] great ship pass thereby.
21 Ali estará conosco o Senhor , o nosso glorioso Deus. Jerusalém será um lugar de grandes rios e ribeirões, mas neles não navegarão os barcos dos inimigos nem os seus grandes navios a vela. o mastro não fica firme, e as velas não podem ser estendidas. Assim pegaremos todas as riquezas do inimigo; serão tantas, que até os aleijados conseguirão pegar a sua parte. Pois o é ele quem nos governa; o é ele quem vai nos salvar.
22 For the LORD [shall be] our judge, the LORD [shall be] our lawgiver, the LORD shall be our king; he himself will save us.

23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they did not strengthen well their mast, nor could they spread the sail: then the prey of a great spoil shall be divided; [even] the lame shall take prey.

24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein [shall be] absolved from sin.:
24 Nenhum morador de Jerusalém ficará doente, e os pecados de todos serão perdoados.
