1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
1 Israel partiu com tudo o que lhe pertencia. Chegou a Bersabéia, onde ofereceu sacrifícios ao Deus de seu pai Isaac.
2 And God spoke unto Israel in visions of the night and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here [am] I.
2 Em uma visão noturna Deus disse-lhe: "Jacó! Jacó!" "Eis-me aqui", respondeu ele.
3 And he said, I [am] the God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for there I will make of thee a great people.
3 E Deus disse: "Eu sou Deus, o Deus de teu pai. Não temas descer ao Egito, porque ali farei de ti uma grande nação.
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up [again]; and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
4 Descerei contigo ao Egito, e eu mesmo te farei de novo subir de lá. José fechar-te-á os olhos."
5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel took Jacob their father and their little ones and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
5 E Jacó deixou Bersabéia. Os filhos de Israel levaram seu pai, assim como seus filhos e suas mulheres, nos carros que o faraó tinha enviado para os transportar.
6 And they took their cattle and their goods which they had gotten in the land of Canaan and came into Egypt, Jacob and all his seed with him,
6 Tomaram também seus rebanhos e os bens que tinham adquirido na terra de Canaã,
7 his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
7 e Jacó com toda a sua família partiu para o Egito. Levou consigo os seus filhos e seus netos, suas filhas e suas netas, enfim, toda a sua família.
8 And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.
8 Eis os nomes dos filhos de Israel que foram para o Egito: Jacó e seus filhos.
9 And the sons of Reuben: Enoch, Phallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
9 O primogênito de Jacó: Rubem. Os filhos de Rubem: Henoc, Falu, Esron e Carmi.
10 And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Saul the son of a Canaanite woman.
10 Os filhos de Simeão: Jamuel, Jamin, Aod, Jaquim, Soar, e Saul, filho da Cananéia.
11 And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
11 Os filhos de Levi: Gerson, Gaat e Merari.
12 And the sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Pharez and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
12 Os filhos de Judá: Her, Onã, Sela, Farés e Zara. Her e Onã, porém, morreram em Canaã. Os filhos de Farés: Hesron e Hamul.
13 And the sons of Issachar: Tola, Phuvah, Job, and Shimron.

14 And the sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.
14 Os filhos de Zabulon: Sared, Elon e Jaelel.
15 These [are] the sons of Leah, whom she bore unto Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah; all the souls of his sons and his daughters [were] thirty-three.
15 São estes os filhos que Lia deu a Jacó em Padã-Arã, assim como sua filha Dina. Total de seus filhos e filhas: trinta e três pessoas.
16 And the sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.
16 Os filhos de Gad: Sefion, Hagi, Suni, Esebon, Heri, Arodi e Areli.
17 And the sons of Asher: Jimnah, Ishuah, Isui, Beriah, and Serah, their sister. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
17 Os filhos de Aser: Jamné, Jesua, Jessui e Beria, assim como sua irmã Sara. Os filhos de Beria: Heber e Melquiel.
18 These [are] the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she gave birth unto Jacob: sixteen souls.
18 São estes os filhos que Zelfa, dada por Labão à sua filha Lia, deu à luz a Jacó: dezesseis pessoas.
19 The sons of Rachel, Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
19 Filhos de Raquel, mulher de Jacó: José e Benjamim.
20 And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On gave birth unto him.
20 No Egito José tivera de Asenet, filha de Putifar, sacerdote de On, Manassés e Efraim.
21 And the sons of Benjamin [were] Belah, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.
21 Os filhos de Benjamim: Bela, Bocor, Asbel, Gera, Naamã, Equi, Ros, Mofim, Ofim e Ared.
22 These [are] the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob, [in] all, fourteen souls.
22 São estes os filhos que Raquel deu a Jacó. Total: quatorze pessoas.
23 And the sons of Dan: Hushim.
23 Filho de Dan: Husim.
24 And the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.
24 Filhos de Neftali: Jasier, Guni, Jeser e Salém.
25 These [are] the sons of Bilhah, who Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she gave birth to these unto Jacob; [in] all seven souls.
25 São estes os filhos que Bala, dada por Labão à sua filha Raquel, deu à luz a Jacó. Total: sete pessoas.
26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls [were] sixty-six;
26 O total das pessoas saídas de Jacó, que vieram com ele para o Egito, sem contar as mulheres de seus filhos, era de setenta ao todo.
27 and the sons of Joseph, who were born him in Egypt, [were] two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, [were] seventy.
27 José teve dois filhos nascidos no Egito. O total das pessoas da família de Jacó que foram para o Egito era de setenta.
28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
28 Jacó tinha enviado Judá adiante dele para informar a José de sua chegada a Gessém. Quando chegaram a Gessém,
29 And Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and manifested himself unto him; and he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while.
29 José mandou preparar o seu carro e montou para ir ao encontro de seu pai em Gessém. E, logo que o viu, jogou-se ao seu pescoço e chorou longo tempo em seus braços.
30 Then Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die since I have seen thy face because thou [art] yet alive.
30 "Agora posso morrer, disse-lhe Israel, porque vi o teu rosto, e vives ainda!"
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren and unto his father's house, I will go up and tell Pharaoh and say unto him, My brethren and my father's house, who [were] in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
31 José disse aos seus irmãos: "Vou avisar o faraó, dizendo: Meus irmãos e a família de meu pai que estavam em Canaã, vieram para junto de mim;
32 and the men [are] pastors of sheep, for their trade has been to feed livestock; and they have brought their sheep and their cows and all that they have.
32 os homens são pastores, criadores de animais, e trouxeram suas ovelhas e seus bois com tudo o que lhes pertence.
33 And it shall come to pass when Pharaoh shall call you and shall say, What [is] your occupation?
33 Quando o faraó mandar chamar-vos e vos perguntar qual é vossa profissão,
34 Then ye shall say, Thy servants' trade has been about livestock from our youth even until now, both we [and] also our fathers, that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every pastor of sheep [is] an abomination unto the Egyptians.:
34 responder-lhe-eis: Teus servos foram sempre criadores de animais, desde sua juventude até o presente, e nossos pais também. Desse modo podereis ficar na terra de Gessém, porque os egípcios têm aversão aos pastores."
