1 It remains, my brethren, that ye rejoice in the Lord. It does not bother me to write the same things to you, and for you [it is] safe.
1 Resta, irmãos meus, que vos regozijeis no Senhor. Não me aborreço de escrever-vos as mesmas coisas, e é segurança para vós.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
2 Guardai-vos dos cães, guardai-vos dos maus obreiros, guardai-vos da circuncisão;
3 For we are the circumcision, who serve God in spirit and glory in Christ Jesus, having no confidence in the flesh.
3 Porque a circuncisão somos nós, que servimos a Deus em espírito, e nos gloriamos em Jesus Cristo, e não confiamos na carne.
4 Though I might also have reason to confide in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
4 Ainda que também podia confiar na carne; se algum outro cuida que pode confiar na carne, ainda mais eu:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the lineage of Israel, [of] the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;
5 Circuncidado ao oitavo dia, da linhagem de Israel, da tribo de Benjamim, hebreu de hebreus; segundo a lei, fui fariseu;
6 concerning zeal, a persecutor of the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
6 Segundo o zelo, perseguidor da igreja, segundo a justiça que há na lei, irrepreensível.
7 But those things which were gain to me, I counted loss for Christ.
7 Mas o que para mim era ganho reputei-o perda por Cristo.
8 And doubtless I even count all things [as] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ
8 E, na verdade, tenho também por perda todas as coisas, pela excelência do conhecimento de Cristo Jesus, meu Senhor; pelo qual sofri a perda de todas estas coisas, e as considero como escória, para que possa ganhar a Cristo,
9 and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
9 E seja achado nele, não tendo a minha justiça que vem da lei, mas a que vem pela fé em Cristo, a saber, a justiça que vem de Deus pela fé;
10 That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death,
10 Para conhecê-lo, e à virtude da sua ressurreição, e à comunicação de suas aflições, sendo feito conforme à sua morte;
11 if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
11 Para ver se de alguma maneira posso chegar à ressurreição dentre os mortos.
12 Not as though I had already attained [it], either were already perfect, but I follow after, if I may lay hold of that for which I have also been laid hold of by the Christ, Jesus.
12 Não que já a tenha alcançado, ou que seja perfeito; mas prossigo para alcançar aquilo para o que fui também preso por Cristo Jesus.
13 Brethren, I do not reckon to have laid hold of [it] yet, but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind and extending myself unto those things which are ahead,
13 Irmãos, quanto a mim, não julgo que o haja alcançado; mas uma coisa faço, e é que, esquecendo-me das coisas que atrás ficam, e avançando para as que estão diante de mim,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
14 Prossigo para o alvo, pelo prêmio da soberana vocação de Deus em Cristo Jesus.
15 Let us, therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded; and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
15 Por isso todos quantos já somos perfeitos, sintamos isto mesmo; e, se sentis alguma coisa de outra maneira, também Deus vo-lo revelará.
16 Nevertheless, in that unto which we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us have the same mind.
16 Mas, naquilo a que já chegamos, andemos segundo a mesma regra, e sintamos o mesmo.
17 Brethren, be imitators of me and consider those who so walk, as ye have us for a pattern.
17 Sede também meus imitadores, irmãos, e tende cuidado, segundo o exemplo que tendes em nós, pelos que assim andam.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the stake of Christ;
18 Porque muitos há, dos quais muitas vezes vos disse, e agora também digo, chorando, que são inimigos da cruz de Cristo,
19 whose end [shall be] perdition, whose God [is their] belly and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things).
19 Cujo fim é a perdição; cujo Deus é o ventre, e cuja glória é para confusão deles, que só pensam nas coisas terrenas.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
20 Mas a nossa cidade está nos céus, de onde também esperamos o Salvador, o Senhor Jesus Cristo,
21 Who shall transform our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is also able to subdue all things unto himself.:
21 Que transformará o nosso corpo abatido, para ser conforme o seu corpo glorioso, segundo o seu eficaz poder de sujeitar também a si todas as coisas.
